You forgot one trope: lore that no one understands

I would be scarer if the player had less visibility. So clones can appear out of nowhere.

Some improvements: 1. Make the player Idle animation just still. Adds some ominous elements. 2. Create some spikes where you brutally die If you get too close. 3. Make the environment darker and give a limited visibility range. 4. Create a clone kill and death animation, and make it BRUTAL, with blood all over, for some good inspiration check out the game „house“ 5. Make the puzzle jumpscare a close-up of a clone dying, a decaying body laying on a spike covered in blood, with fear forever imprinted in it‘s eyes.

I usually don’t like jump scares because they’re often pretty cheap, but I like your implementation of it. Not a “AHHHH” moment but definitely a “oh shit” moment

Ai horror game idea. An ai art generator makes the monsters useing a random descriptive horror word generator and the ai randomly give it quirks and mechanics from a list, and the player has to survive in an abandoned overgrown world full of these monsters.

You're right, Art is a big part of the game marketing That's why, primarily, I choose art for my game

The only actualy jumpscares in your game are just unscary things but unexpected

When you die to a clone there should be a neck snapping sound

Make the AI Clones gray Give the player eyes (you don't have to add anything else... Just the black dot eyes) The real programmer guy (in the game) will stay white Other details to make it better: 1) The enemy clones should make a silent and scary sound when approaching a player 2) The enemy clone must glitch through a door (The enemy clone will flicker when doing this) 3) The enemy clone should be 4 pixels taller than the player

I think one flaw i found is the part where u r able to walk past clones when they're in the "idle" state

Some Things That Would Make Your Game Scarier : 1. Make The Clone a Bit Scarier Like Add a Bloody Face and a actually jumpscare when the clone gets you. 2. Add breathing and heavy breathing sounds, like when the stamina is low the player should breath and when the player has no stamina, the player would do heavy breathing and when the clones are near the player should be breathing and when the clones are very near the player should do heavy breathing. 3. Add screaming when the player gets caught. 4. Add some random screaming in the backround if you entered the wrong door. 5. Add some fake doors that lead to death. 6. Add a bad ending where you go to the end and shoot your developer and you get removed. 7. Add a little bit of blood on the fake doors so you can know what door to not go in. 8. Add clones that have no head. 9. Add clones that come from the sky and run to you. 10. Add survivors. 11. Add a friendly ending on where the developer decides to not remove you because your survivor friends are actually his developer friends.

You should add a bad ending for if a player decides to use a saved bullet from the five shots to interrupt the end cut scene and shoot the real person

It be cool if the gun was optional and harder to get, but had a secret ending where you kill the dude at the computer

What if you can shoot the actual main dude at the end before he deletes you for a alternate secret ending.

This style of horror reminds me a lot of Metroid: Fusion where you get to see SA-X (or Samus' clone) throughout the map. Initially the player doesn't really know what it is, and it's uncanny movement (with how it mimics Samus almost entirely) combined with its slower movement and familiar arsenal.

I respect the effort you put into the game but tbh it just sucks you were so focused on making a "scary" game that you forgot all about the gameplay all you do is wander around different rooms while trying to find a way to progress

Idea: Make a second ending where you shoot the original (you have a gun, don't you)

You should add a jumpscare where when you walk up to a door, occasionally a clone will pop out of it and chase you or something.

I recommend you don’t spoil the ending for any future games and instead let the players experience it for themselves.

I was thinking the clones would use doors too I was.

Can you add ladders for vertical movement? Can you add an escape sequence where one of the clones mimic your movements exactly and follow you up ladders and through doors?

If you make a horror game next time I suggest adding more body horror or disturbing imagery a final chase with music that makes your heart beat really fast Edit: I forgot to put that you should also at the final chase the clone should be really fast and add different endings!

You shouldve made nightmare running where you run a bit faster than walking but when there's a monster it changes no speed at all so that way the player thinks they are running faster but are actually walking speed

It was a good idea and I think you did a good job but when in a horror game you can kill the enemies the horror starts to fade away and it becomes more focused on action. You wanted to make the game scarier, but this one simple mistake made it actually less scary. You should keep what you want your game to be in mind to not make it become something else.

Here’s some improvement you can add to the game 1: add jumping because you should also add jumping puzzles so like a block to jump over 2: a secret ending because o think every horror game should have a secret ending and I want the secret ending to be to shoot the computer guy and go on the computer to do a comand to make clones to overrun the earth 3:Some Easter eggs because it would make the game more lively and more real like you can add a radio and when you solve a simple puzzle of finding out the song code by looking through radio and when you turn on the song I want it to be the peanut butter jelly time song 4: To be able to customise your clone because when you finish the game I want you to addd a free play/multiplayer mode to customise your clone and meet up with your friends And that’s all

Idea: make it so that you can enter rooms and there is like chests with coins or something and a chest could be a clone (coins could be used to buy from a shop, maybe you can buy more stamina or something)
