"Long live the Christmas Shrimp" - The bias tape is a style element; not a mistake!!! Loved the retro Christmas lights. You were having some fun with this one.
I like the “wrong” bias tape! It creates a strong visual boundary that looks intentional if you don’t tell us otherwise. Especially for a novelty skirt with giant Christmas lights. It may not be what you had in mind, but it looks great.
Btw can I just say when me and my husband need background sound we go find your longest videos from the past and put them on, your videos are the best..even my husband Sir Canadian has you on HIS RU-vid account ❤ he has gone to thrift stores and found patterns and picked them up for me because of you❤
Long live the Christmas Shramp! Sometimes you just need to wear a skirt that could double as an actual Christmas tree skirt. Your floofy helper is the best little helper.
Long live the Christmas Shrimp, Being a southern hemisphere woman, christmas shrimp are a thing in New Zealand. Love both skirts, and I love the candy cane tights, so awesome. Have a very wonderful holiday season. Christmas is my favorite time of year.
Long live the Christmas Shrimp! I must Admit, I've never seen anything like them before😂. You are just the most entertaining seamstress on RU-vid, Stephanie. I feel more comfortable about my frequent errors and expeditions into extravagant swearing while sewing after watching a few Stefanie Canada videos. Thanks for making my life just that much lighter. BTW -- Mrs Depew is the greatest.
LONG LIVE THE CHRISTMAS SHRIMP!!! Your earrings are glorious. I'm new to the channel but already subscribed last week because I ✨love ✨chaos✨ sewing :D I could also really do with a good circle skirt pattern as I messed up the last two I made - the waist is too large on both 🙃 The idea of appliqueing some mountains to make up for the lack of green fabric is nothing short of genius!
I love both skirts! I love how the pink trees turned out on the green skirt too! Very cute! And you did a great job on the Christmas lights strand! Those earrings had me chuckling so hard! And so did the candy cane tights! I need a pair of those both of those! The tights and the earrings! LOL! Long live the Christmas shrimp! LOL!
Long live the Christmas Shrimp!!! You are one of my favorite you tubers. Love your style. And I've been drooling over the patterns on the Mrs. Depew site. Thanks for that. lol
I have watched LOTS of your videos, and I'm glad I found this one. LOVE your style, down to showing us your mistakes. After all, "Pobody's Nerfect" and watching videos of PROFESSIONAL seamstresses stitch with ease and a serene smile on their faces is unnerving!! My seam ripper is my old/new best friend; because I need it, and a screaming goat would be a nice touch, too! I JUST love your pattern hauls (a real walk down memory lane). Keep on, keepin' on; Stephanie! SUBSCRIBED!!
Btw there's a method shown in the Decades of Style Chore Skirt pattern to add a pocket AND a zip together. I printed out just those pages and keep them on my sewing table for reference and have used them in trousers too.
"Long live Christmas Shrimp" ! This was a fun video . I love the snowy mountains idea. I'd love to try that with different shades & textures of green trees . The Xmas lights , great idea.
I see your puppy and want to cry. My Poodle esme passed away about a year and a half ago and I still miss her so much. Give your pupper extra love for me
Just recently found your channel while looking at videos for the Walkaway Dress.... and now I'm hooked! I just love your humor. Oh, and your voice-overs are just what I need to make my day brighter. As for these 2 skirts, I thought you did a great job. Have to admit that my favorite is the green one. The white corduroy that you added to the bottom really made this one stand out. Of course, the red one is cool, too. Don't think I'd have had the patience to put all those appliques on it. All in all, a great, entertaining video. Looking forward to more. Thanks!
