I may have found my new favorite boon. | Hades 2 

I would like to see Hades get an unlockable boon(through relationship) that will replace your companion with Cerberus. Cerberus' toy will spawn every room. Dashing into the toy will cause you to kick it, which will make Cerberus fetch it, leaping in from off screen. When he fetches the toy, he will then go back off screen and the toy will roll back onto the field after a cooldown.

The more people I see getting annoyed by the frog joke, the more I want you to keep doing it forever lmao

I kinda wish there was a way to guarantee Artemis in a run. First blood and death warrant are crazy powerful boons and can work with pretty much any build. Also, support fire + air quality is an underrated combo

You should have taken Fire Extinguisher at 20:31. For an epic Fire Extinguisher, if you are already able to stack over 400 scorch then FE is a damage buff. And it doesn't make the Hestia legendary pointless, since enemies are still taking doubled scorch DoT as you build up to 300; with a torch build where it's constantly being applied, you are still seeing a benefit from the lego.

Vow of Forsaking is definitely one of the easiest vows for fear and I always run with it for anything over 8 fear, but I've had a looooot of runs where it left me with no magick regen boon because the vow simply banished all of the options into the shadow realm lmao. there are absolutely ways it can mess you up, more than the underworld customs even

Torch run with hestia is just the build I wanted to see! Wicked

I think a potentially cool legendary boon for Hestia would be that Scorch consumes a percentage of its value every second rather than a fixed value, so you got more value for stacking Scorch.

The "launch extra damage" boons are so good. I legit wonder at the intended balance - especially for "launch cast" options from Hestia, Zeus and Hades. H2 seems to to be entirely built around the idea of ranged combat and there's nothing like the Ares/Athenia build from H1 to disprove that. Basically, if you have a Melee range ability that can be turned into a ranged ability, it's worth the effort almost 100% of the time right now. I hope that changes, I'd love a reason to spec into melee build besides Charon Axe and Medea Skulls.

Also, you might have figured this out later, but Mel fires the fireballs into whatever direction she's facing when you start the omega special. That's why she keeps firing into weird directions where there are no enemies or missing.

Hey, I just did that build on the surface and got the Icarus boon that makes an explosion whenever an Omega move hits. Having the Impervious boon from Hephy as well, I would start every encounter by just sitting in the middle of enemies spamming the Omega Special and watching as everything started exploding around. Was pretty fun! Including having a common Broken Gain and going to 0 mana a couple of times.

This weapon and boon combo is just reminding me of death must die a bit.

Regarding the Tartarus room limit it is possible to run out of rooms that can generate and it will actually give you the item you were expecting at the entrance of the shop. I can confirm as well that from both Chaos and the Tartarus fountain room it is possible and likely to get a double shop door.

Craziest damage I've gotten with torches was Aphrodite special + Icarus special buffing boon, Eris melted alive from 500+ dmg from single rotating orb.

I finished my final 2 Testements thanks to you the other night. Now I gotta do both 32 Fear O_O

I finally beat 32 fear with every weapon (and if you're doing a build that goes through magic quickly selene is pretty good, even if she needs some love rn; phase shift legit is what made the difference in the torch attempt) and torches need not only buffs but also tracking and animation changes, with the staff also perhaps needing tiny tweaks on the omega attack/special power. Other weapons are great, they're fun, and SGG have done it again.

6:19 only this far in but it kinda looks to me like controlled burn aims whichever way Mel is going at the moment of firing.

omgggg I've always had Autofire on and I was wondering why Born Gain wasn't working for me...

I think a reworked Fire Extinguisher would make a much better Legendary than her current one. It's a bit ott but something like "Foes with at least 500 scorch create an explosion doing increased damage to nearby enemies (including the originating foe) - Damage from scorch 150%". Then you could even have it so Hestia says something similar to Poseidon with Double Up each time it is triggered.

Controlled Burn is really fun with Power Shot Staff.

Fire extinguisher and funeral pyre with torches is very good. Also extinguisher is pommable and I believe can go over 100%.

I'm a new player but yesterday I made a very fun and rather successful (reached Cerberus and almost got him - died with a sliver of his health remaining XD) run with torches with Aphro's Weak Cast, Zeus' Blitz Special, and Demeter's Freeze Attack. Needless to say, I was applying the Status effect damage boost left and right, both longer range and close. My friends don't like the torches but I found them to be rather interesting!

Born Gain is SPECIALLY good with the torches

I finally beat chronos for the first timea couple nights ago. I barely had any health by the end of the fight though. I would have died in one more hit. Yesterday, I beat him again, but got some really good boon combos that gave me tons of damage reduction/dodge and I was dealing a lot of damage too. I didn't lose a single death defiance and it felt so good to totally annihilate Chronos! I think I had 43% dodge chance with aphrodites dash and an apollo boon that made me invincible for 12 seconds and his light smite boon which adds more damage reduction. It's crazy how I went from struggling on that fight to barely winning and then kicking his ass in literally the next run. Honestly aphrodite and Apollo are a great combo (I also had Hephaestus, which added some damage, but it wasn't as big a part in the build).

Theseus as a familiar would go crazy.

sucks that i actively avoid Haephy and Hestia's attack and special boons cuz they need so many hoops to jump thru to make a build around them worth it. if i get blitz im happy to have it just for having it, freeze? close range damage amp? love them, they work extremely well out the gate. Scorch and *clang* seem like boons id treat like i did ares boons: attach to a button imma gonna have to press anyway even tho is not my main damage button this run, Like placing ares on attack for Aspect of Chiron(homing bow).

Feel like this game is too much about picking one move of your skillset and sticking to it without using anything else. I wish there was a reason to use your entire moveset for each weapon.

i had a run with staf special and got the double shot on special with the burn and was stacking 2000+ burn. Fire extinguisher boon would have helped a lot. I would have done 2000 damage in seconds to cerberus.

Would an afk build work in this game? My first thought was no bc chronos has an instakill but then i remembered that coarse grit exists soooo maybe? You're gonna try it one of these days I'm sure 😉

Haelian, i think autofire might have stopped working bc of he change in channel speed from the loss of the dress, Also it would be good if fire extinguisher was affected by the legendary

Hestia scorch rate should buff to 80 per second at the very least, right now it's super slow compared to any other boons, i mean right now it take 5 sec to deal 200 damage? That's insane.

I still dont understand how scorch works in this game. Is it like delayed damage, like poison in other games?

Somewhat hot take: I wouldnt be terribly shocked if they reworked the boon elimination vow to be more punishing. As of now I firmly believe it helps you way more than it hurts you. Like 90/10 if I had to measure it.

Where did they promise more or returning gods? They did not talk about it in the roadmap.

i think the scortch effect affects bosses differently, because on the normal enemies, scorch highlights the damage dealt over time with a yellow bar, but doesn't show on boss health bars, i may be wrong

I wonder, if you forsake a duo boon, can it still be offered through the other god that can offer it?

you can do above 100% with fire extinguisher. It is fun when you get it. But not a viable build

Man scorch really is terrible. At least other hestia stuff is fun and useful. Also fire looks cool!
