My parents had a truly successful marriage. It was full of laughter and tears, but there was always love. It lasted almost 51 years, and it ended when my mom lost her battle with cancer. Her last breaths were taken with her children and grandchildren around her and her husband holding her hand. No one can convince me a successful marriage will end in divorce.

I'm so thankful God doesn't graduate from us in ANY way!!!

She called her marriage a curriculum, meaning she never thought it was a lifetime commitment.....

She said marriage is like a curriculum. If that's the case she's lying to herself; she didn't graduate, she dropped out.

The real graduation from marriage is you being able to put God first and make your marriage a life time commitment. Years ago we married for a life, we love for life, we honor our vows and out commitment to God and each other, and people who marriages last a life time know if something starts going wrong, you fix it you don’t throw it away.

I said this for a while. I am sure she delve into New Age Spiritualism because the ideology is always about self. It is not intentional thought, but that is the focus of that practice.

She has completely drrifted from Christ. She burns sage & everything now.

Tia started letting the feminist movement and social media influence her to divorce her husband! A curriculum? I didn’t know it wasn’t considered a covenant anymore! God help her to come back to you, because this was a woman who throughout her career believed in Christ!

She's full of beans! Regarding marriage: If love is the "house", then the foundation is... ...COMMITMENT! My wife was dating well before our divorce was final. People asked me why I wasn't dating too, and I replied, "Because the vows I made before God MEANT something to me!"

Tia is not happy within herself. She needs the peace of God. She has a restless spirit. Nothing and no one will make her happy for long. She turned to this new age spiritually and Corey seemed to be grounded in Christ. Darkness cannot comprehend light. The demon in her was irritated by him, as he was in Christ and she was not and therfore they became unequally yoked. We don't know all the facts, but one thing I have observed over the years with couples who have broken up. The one who level up and find success turns out to be the one who was not the problem in the relationship. The other person was blocking their blessing. One struggles and the other becomes successful. This is spiritual and deeper than you see on the surface. Christ is the center of every marriage and is harder when two people have different beliefs. Marriage is based on two becoming one. How can two become one when your spiritual beliefs are different? That is what has torn them apart. Corey continues to give God praise, have you heard Tia mentiond God. All we hear is about her and her happiness.

lol divorce is like a graduation…no shade to her but that is the dumbest reasoning I have ever had. Yes, divorce happens (as a Christian it is not desirable mind you) but pls don’t try and refine it as graduation, rubbish!

I left my first marriage because my ex-husband was physically, mentally, and verbally abusive. He was not seeking help, but he felt it was his right to abuse me. I left because I was no longer safe. It was not a graduation; it was survival.

Every time she talks about her divorce, it's always all about her. She's the only one in that family who is "celebrating" her divorce. Sounds pretty Godless and New Age to me. Been there! She can't talk bad about him, because that decision was all about her. Pray for the ex-husband and especially for the children

They're twins but they're definitely not joined at the hip and Tamera's and her spouse's faith-based principles may have played a role in why their marriage is outlasting. I've spoken about this and both confirmed there was no abuse or adultery also she went straight back into the dating market after the divorce she left for selfish reasons and destroyed her children's lives

Great commentary. Tia no longer wanted to be in the marriage. No abuse, no neglect. no cheating.. She was bored and not feeling excited about we're they were in life. This was not Corey's fault. The monsters in her head. Also, the Bible teaches that the heart is the most foolish of them all. She was a flop in the marriage. He was stripped from the marriage and being in the home with his children. He has spoken on it and allowed others to know how he cried himself to sleep at night. No, she behaved like a spoiled brat.

Tia is one of those kinds of people that doesn't say what she means and doesn't mean what she says. She was talking but saying nothing.

We don’t know what happened in the home. She is not saying anything negative about him. We need to pray for them. God can restore there relationship if it is his will.

Tia always seemed very worldly to me. I always preferred Tamera after watching their reality show.

I pray that no one listens to anything she says. Tia is deceived. The enemy convinced her of this. It is one thing if her husband abused her and did not honor the marriage, but she said that is not the case. I've been married for almost 31 years and everything she is saying I Know For a Fact are Nothing But Lies From the Enemy. Don't fall for it. Seek God and seek Him together.

I believe that many women at this age, almost like a mid life crisis, decide to leave their marriages. I have seen it before, where the husband is a great guy, & the reasons given are similar to Tia's. The husbsnds remind me of Cory, maybe not the way they met, but similar where he's a great role model, loving his wife & children, taking care of his family,and no cheating or flirting with other women. You'd want your sons to emulate these men. Then, out of nowhere, the wife will come up with similar reasons like Tia'a to ask for divorce. No amount of counseling etc. helps. And you see the kids are hurt & troubled by this. The family broken. Never give up praying for marriages where God is recognized as Lord over the home. Pray that these areas of weakness are dealt with and healed, because the enemy is always looking around to steal kill and destroy marriages.

The marriage perspective taken from a biblical perspective has to be the only one taken in these situations. Aside from outright abuse, if we're left to our on devices, we will think happiness is the ultimate goal for marriage. Good job @trackstarz

If your marriage does not bring “Glory & Honor” to God it’s a failure…Not a graduation. I believe Tia’s still going through it. Perhaps she should hold her tongue about her divorce until she’s completely through to the other side. And her testimony aligns with Gods grace for giving up her marriage based on worldly perspectives and propaganda.

We can not assume what was going on behind closed doors. To say he probably put her through the wringer is a significant assumption. Only God and them know the whole story.

Marriage, is between two becoming one to fullfil Gods will together. The only reason a divorced individual should marry is the first spouse has past away. Remember, the fallen goes about accusing us before God, so that we be removed while in sin. So thinking that we getting away parading the worldly way of living has consequences with God greater then an individual who doesn't know God. I think she is being respectful of their past relationship. We, on the outside, don't know what happened or the reason for the divorce. I personally think it was much deeper but they have been very cordial about the breakup. Even when he is asked, he is protective of her and respectful.

Midlife crises, and midlife crises usually happens when someone has had an easy life. Listen to her words, graduation, she thinks she is a teenager still or someone in their early 20's. To this day I remember just browsing around on Instagram, when she was still married, and I was on Halle Berry's page, and Tia wrote a comment on it saying when I grow up I want to be just like you. Now mind you she was probably in her 40s, married with two kids? clearly in her head she thinks she is young. 40s-50s you are all the same age. Also, remember, some people struggle to get over a great time in her life, Tia is struggling to get over her Sister Sister days. She still is looking at herself as a kid, and it has come to the surface in her 40's. She panicked man. Marriage is not anchored in 'happiness'- that’s a fickle emotion. Its so much more about serving than receiving. She mentioned 'growing & thriving' but in life, that is not a consistent stage to make a permanent decision for. We need to be better equipped to handle the inevitable seasons of marriage- spring, summer, winter, and fall. It can comes back around.

I think a lot of people move too fast because they want to be married. Then, they find themselves faking it. It's hard living a false narrative.

I think she was masking the truth, this is an old interview. She had a newer one with a pod caster that was more honest. She said she felt like she was jumping through hops and no one was pouring into her, constantly having to prove that she was worthy of love. And it can happen when a spouse is suffering from other unhealed trauma. It's not that at all I think she definitely loved him but was exhausted by the marriage. She explained in a recent interview that they did do counseling and she did counseling alone. I believe her new found Social Media fame played a part. He was not down with making those videos everyday.
