Welcome to the first episode in Colombia! Today I share my current daily meditation practice. This practice is changing how I experience the novelty of living in a new country, I hope you learn something:)
Your editing and cinematography are A++. Because you do such a skillful job, it really helps keep my attention while I learn something and I'm also entertained.
I've sat and done nothing for 2 hours before but yesterday I meditated for 2 whole hours! It was so interesting to see how the mind works, I learnt more yesterday than 3 months of meditation for sure!
Oh you smug dawg you! You even changed up your intro! Damn Charlie, you are definitely going places. Keep running with these documentaries, I'm binging these at least once every couple of months. May you find your eternal peace and be fulfilled in your journey! Good luck man!
Had an awakening or enlightenment 3 months ago.... never experienced such peace in my whole life. 😶 honestly am here because I want to learn from you and in general know you better as a person 🙇♀️ eventhough you are younger than I hope I can learn from you lots about the wisdom you have collected so far. Or more like seeing your perspective 🙉
Your editing is so inspiring! If there's one thing I respect about you is that you push the limits of your reality. It's something I'm trying also trying to devote my life to, and I'm excited to keep following you and see the ways your do it. (and maybe try a few of the same things haha)
I'm starting to form a meditation habit as part of my self improvement journey. Then I found your channel. It has been such a motivational boost to see your determination. Please keep doing this awesome work!
Lil tip so you don't depend on new content from the topic - you can return to videos you've already watched and liked, you'll also see new details, so it's interesting anyway too. Consistency is key.
Charlie, I really and thoroughly enjoy your content. The execution is simply flawless and the information and value is beautiful, I would enjoy a video about your favourite chill music, especially one you choose for meditation. I've been struggling to find playlists/artists/albums on spotify that are adequate for meditation and chill. Thanks
ayy thank you! I always meditate in silence or with whatever sound is present but I usually work with music, I'll link my favorite RU-vid music for you. Hi. I loved the video and the whole art involved in it. How do you get to focus on meditation while having your eyes open? Is it something you have practiced over time?
I heard that if you go through life with your eyes open, then why not meditate with them open too. A white wall can help a lot, but as I'm now in cabins with only wood walls I just have whatever my surroundings happen to be. It's a different method, that's all. I enjoy it more because the distance between meditation and post meditation can lessen. Try it out and make sure to look into your peripheral - be aware of all forms.
@@State-Of-Mind that is a wonderful concept. I have centered on darkness to concentrate while meditating. I will try centering on the light. I am sure there's a different effect to experience through it. Thank you. P.S. I am inspired to having a 3-hour meditation. I have been meditating for years now. I have stressed on time but I have realised that the time has steadily increased over time. I would say the peak to be an hour and a half.
Hi. My name is Albert. Your videos are so great, great editing, great script. I came from your video about the Sirianni method. Well, I'm in the autist spectrum and wanted to know if the method work for us. Do you believe it work for studying math too?
Still meditating 3h every day? It doesn't seem sustainable, (unless choosing a part time job all the time), life passing by... I see its impermanence... Most people do a few minutes to 1h per day, it seems more sustainable. (I've been doing 30+ min once every day for the past month. Great for the prefrontal cortex.)
Advice from an older person to a younger one: Spend the three hours making out and partying. You're only young once you'll have plenty of time to contemplate the oneness of everything when you get older. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may...
but yes, meditation takes a lot of time, you can think it’s a waste of time, a waste of life, but i assure you that this time will change your life, and you will know yourself like never
I love your videos dude! I've been really into theravada buddhism for a while now, @ClearMountainMonastery ma people, but zen seems so interesting as well. If you have the time do highly recommend reading Ajahn Geoff's work, his writings have really deepened my understanding meditation and the path as a whole. With much love - Samek
ayy yeah I'm checking it out right now! The Thai Forest Tradition sounds really interesting. Next year I'll be moving to a country in South East Asia and I'll be able to explore a lineage hands-on for a long period of time
