@Pax Jean-Baptiste lol you almost got it right, but the brown woman is not the correct translation hehe. It's one of the korean grasshopper species actually.
thanks for posting these vids, helps me tons with my bug phobia. I actually touched a grasshopper a few weeks ago, spooky stuff lol be happy and healthy
In Texas, USA, We call these ‘web worms’. Not too original. They can wipe out a pecan grove’s leaves. They are pests to so many trees. It is best not to allow them to get established. Here, they come in the summer, long after our spring ground beetle, also known here as caterpillar hunting beetles.
Every time I watch your videos I enjoy your adventures and the insects you have befriended. Thank you please bee. You make the world a beautiful place to live,
I had a mantis that big get inside my apartment building once. I was in the kitchen and something was making an awful racket. There were some really viney houseplants in the window area which was where the noise was coming from. I investigated and found the mantis. It was trapped between the panes and the plants made it even more difficult to find its way out. I offered out my hand for it to climb on. It was defensive and hesitant at first, swatting my fingers as though it was a cat, but it eventually trusted me enough to crawl onto my hand. I had to go down 2 1/2 flights of stairs and it stayed on my arm the whole time. Released it outside on a nearby bush. I was impressed by how smart it was to gauge my threat level and then stay on my arm instead of trying to fly off. Probably not the same species (I'm in Northeast USA) but it was same size, color and proportions.
We love your videos so much with Kiwi and wiwi. This is our third summer raising a mantis. Though very intriguing to raise just in itself, You make it seem so much more delightful. Thank you for your content!
I like your videos practically it is as if one were there with you watching and living experiences with these insects, wonderful! the name of the mantis could be Mighty Cell hahahahahah. a hug and blessings to you from Bogotá Colombia 🇨🇴🙏🔥🎉🌟💪 Thanks for this videos!!!
Wow! Thought sure I'd subscribed before today. I've been getting so lost in amazement w/these videos of yours....I absolutely adore praying mantis. I don't see any in my garden this year. We're so overloaded with giant grasshoppers, a few green goddess mantis would be a lovely sight. Take care of that girl & her beau. Cheers, ~ Covah
Love your content ❤️🙂. I was ok until you showed the cave crickets. I call them Camel back crickets. I have a big fear of them since I was younger. One got into the house and was eating a cheese cracker I saw it eating it and heard the crunch. I was trying to shoo it with a broom and it jumped off the floor on my chest I died Lol 🤣 They are so creepy.
So recently, all of a sudden, more and more lantern flies began to appear in my neighborhood. Remembering kiwi fighting pests such as lantern flies is always calming. Wish you a good day!
I assumed your king mantis was male due to the wing length. Maybe something like Sequoia (keeping in theme with Kiwi's lineage) would be fitting for a mantid of that size?
The caterpillar is a moth! However there are many types of it. Not sure if it is this or that 😅😂 "Yponomeuta cagnagella, the spindle ermine, is a from the family Yponomeutidae, the ermine moths. The wingspan of the moth ranges from 19 to 26 millimetres. The head is white."
Why dont you call the king mantis "Persephone?" I think that would be a wonderful name. Being that is the name of the greek goddess of spring ^_^ And since you found her in a pretty tree i deem it perfect
Ooh maybe name them Reyna! Like 'Queen' in Spanish, since they are royalty mantis :D I'm always happy to see new videos from you also, it makes my day easily
I once saw a mantis larger than this one, probably like an inch bigger when I was little and was playing games on my cousins house, a giant mates flew in and disappeared
