You traveled all way the from Kenya to Uganda just meet the Mayas and Raymond took a 17 hour bus ride from Uganda to Kenya also to meet Maya. You guys must see something we are not seeing.
Here from Wode Maya. Don't know what your travelling experience has been like as an African but it must have challenging to evoke such strong emotions on meeting the Mayas. He strong.
Trust me, it hasn't been easy. I have shared some of my experiences in my older videos. As an African traveler, you are guilty until proven innocent. So seeing in real life the people who are trying so hard to change the narrative of Africa and make life a little easier for us guys was emotionally overwhelming for me.
What they are doing needed to be done yesterday and now that they are doing it, we need more people doing it too. It's showing a side of Africa that has been hidden for so long and that's one of the reasons why Africans are denied basic dignity that's accorded to other races so we needed that badly and I can't wait to meet Tayo some day too. I love his content as well.
Now why am I crying 😢😭am tearing like a baby I missed seeing them at there meet and greet 😓i was scared and shivering I dint go but one day I will too as a starting youtuber those 2 are goals ❤
Girl, why didn't you come? It would have been a very nice chance for you to network. Not just with Maya but with other RU-vidrs too. Make sure you check the Ugandan YT group because he is planning to do content with the local RU-vidrs.
I am just smiling from ear to ear ☺️!! I am so excited for YOU!! Hope one day I will get to meet you too as you inspire me to keep travel vlogging as an African and a woman. Keep shining ✨️ sis, much love and blessings ❤🇿🇼❤
Thank you so much my dear. This has been a dream of mine for so long and for it to finally happen, I can't even explain what it means😊. I hope to meet you too someday. If you're ever in Kenya hit me up. As African women we much cheer for each other 🤗.
@The Traveling Miss , will definitely do. Was in Kenya 🇰🇪 last year for the first time and the first video I ever did that went 'viral for me' was the Nairobi Expressway vlog. I plan to return again for longer. Keep making content, you are onto a good thing. I really enjoyed the vlog.
@@LessonWorldTV Thank you sis. I appreciate the encouragement and the support that you've offered me so far. I hope that you'll come to Kenya again soon and when you do, know that you have a friend there waiting for you 😊.
Sweetheart I feel the same way. I know I’ll be crying to when I meet them. I’m planning to cook some of the best Afrikan American soul food they’ve ever had. Maya and Trudy give us all hope in #1Afrika. I’m so excited for you my dear and I can’t wait for my turn. I feel they are my niece and nephew.
You understand how I felt. I was so overwhelmed by emotions. I couldn't even explain it myself. Hope you get to meet them someday. They are amazing people 😊.
You are so authentic! I love and felt the love you provided to both Wode and Ms. Trudy. I too @Lesson World, found myself smiling from ear to ear. Kenyans are so friendly. I tell you (sorry Wode) if I ever leave the States (divided and not united) I will definitely visit Central and East Africa.
You're the best 👌 baby girl, you're emotional situation on meeting Wode Maya and Miss Trudy is very okay, that's a way to show your Spiritual strength crowned 👑 with love ❤️
Thank you for watching 😊. I really enjoyed they conversation too although it shows just how far we have to go for us Africans to be considered as normal people.
Dear Travelling Miss. i relate to our experiences trying to travel freely and safely in the world and especially Africa! I hope we can connect soon also. I am currently making plans for a road trip from 🇬🇧 to West Africa. 🙏🏿💜🙏🏿
Girl I almost cry when you said they treated you badly as an African traveler in our own continent. What you don't know is you are spreading a message for a change already. So keep it up.
That's the problem. We Africans tend to look down on each other instead of living like brothers and sisters. I hope that we will live in unity one day. Until then we'll try to spread a positive message about Africa to the world 😊.
I remember when Miss Trudy was very small, only a few subs. She was very accessible then and would contact me and recommend things for me to do during my first trip to Kenya many years ago. I didn't think much of it at the time as I had no idea how big she would become. Admittedly I don't know much about Maya at all but Miss Trudy was very helpful to me many years ago with her first Kenyan videos and advice, and got me excited for Kenya as I awaited my travel date
@@the_traveling_miss You were very lucky to meet her. I didn't meet her that time I went to Kenya, I didn't even think about it, but she was really helpful to me to make my experiences better. I miss her Kenya videos. She's a really great person and I'm so happy she didn't let the fame go to her head at such a young age. It's also a credit to Maya that despite being the biggest RU-vidr in Africa, he remains down to earth and appreciates everybody who follows him. I really hope they do a meet and greet for Ugandans.
I would suggest the next time we are asked do you guys live in villages etc simply reply that we live in towns and villages pretty similar to those in other countries. There is a fascinating feature I came across which I would like to find again and share with you. A lady from Africa in an Italian village farming goats for cheese…I must find it and share with you. 🙏🏿💜🙏🏿
Please do. I'd love to see it😊. Also, the connotations when talking about African villages and European villages is quite different that's why I don't like it that much.
Listening to you talk about how we’re treated as Africans outside Africa and even within Africa, is both triggering and heartbreaking. We need to break those barriers ourselves. Borders were created to divide us to make us weaker and “rule-able” now the colonizers are out and we continue to do this to ourselves. It’s sad.
Especially the bad treatment inside Africa is what breaks my heart into a million pieces. If we cannot love ourselves, if we cannot feel safe at home, where else will we be loved and feel safe?
Girl, I was overwhelmed by emotions. I couldn't believe that I was finally meeting these two. I balled my eyes out😭😭. Thank you for subscribing. I appreciate you 💕.
That ignorant question from the Italian guy whether you live in a village called Kenya is unfortunate and quite funny I am sure he is born and educated in in a " three house" farmstead in Italy. I don't expect any well exposed and learned Italian to describe a country in Africa as a village. Shame on him.
I was shocked. I did not even know how to answer that question. The ignorance about Africa out there is phenomenonal. That's why we need people like Maya to change the negative narrative of Africa.
