What time would this of been ? I flew in at 7.10 as I had a show car ticket but 30 minutes later it looked busy coming in. That said I find Santapod to be a swine to get in and out of
Everyone whingeing about the traffic and being unable to get in…failing to mention they turned up mid day to an event that started in the early morning. Me and a friend had a showcar ticket and left Merseyside at 6 in the morning, which was about a 2.5h drive, just to get their with enough time to get situated, everyone else that did the same including those who just had regular tickets, got in without an issue, we only started hearing about people struggling to get in by about 1/2 o’clock. It was a cracking day and the weather was boss, can’t wait to go again next year.
i came there from the netherlands ( 7:33 ) but u should just have gotten a showcar ticket, i drove in at 8:30am without any traffic lol but apparently the main issue with sheds is that they breakdown and from what ive heard there were 3 breakdowns and a crash near the event that cost a lot of traffic issues
I was there parked by the lake just a bit further down from the red Camaro. You must’ve filmed this earlier than we got in. I have a yellow beetle and my mate has the sticker bombed Micra everyone wrote all over 😂
Been to Mallory many times as I live 25 minutes away and have to say this was the worst. Took 3 hours to get in as traffic management was none existent. A friend had to return home in his motor as it was overheating too as this was Shedfest so we took our older cars. The show itself I feel lacked direction. I don’t know what it was supposed to be. Was it a classic car, modified car, car club meet? The whole event experience felt like it was the organisers were winging it. So after just a couple of hours we had had enough. Yes three hours to get in for just two hours. In fact the cars in the car park was just as interesting if not more fitting of what you would expect with a name Shedfest.
Have to say I agree about the show itself being a bit aimless. Aside from the traffic to get in (which i skipped by ignoring the W3W thing) It felt like a bit of a money grab. Could have had more interactive stuff like challenges for people to do, more smaller stages maybe covered with more names involved giving talks and stuff, and more to see like, i don't know, jap car stunt drivers doing donuts or something. With the show cars themselves, they could have had the middle bit centered around a dj or something for the vibes, and then around the track little villages or sections - USA area, Ford area, 80, 90s, with things to do, own music in that section, fun info etc. And I feel like they should be more selective with the show cars as a lot of them were absolutely not worth looking at. I know it's shedfest and I get it but I'm not interested in looking at a ropey Peugot 107 with cheap alloys on it. Cars like the red 850R with 90s mags on the seat, or the fiesta with a kart on the roof with the info sheet however were genuinely great to see.
@jamiemiliner That's none of my business and didn't need to know that!!! Tavarish is a good man in my eyes I'm proud of him and no matter what you say about him he will always be an inspiration to me!!!
This will be why local villages came to a stand still ambulance couldn’t get to my parent who was I’ll because everybody was sitting in the villages nearby
We are all as outraged as you about it, none of us want to block roads/access. The show was really badly organised, using only one entrance and arguably the worst one at that - they sent 5k+ cars down a single track road all at the same time and expected it to go well. You probably won't hear it from the show, but we're sorry, hope your parent is doing well despite the shitshow.
Plenty of people got in, there were thousands in attendance, it was rammed by mid day. Those who didn’t get in turned up in the afternoon, to an event that started at 9 in the morning, then wondered why they couldn’t get in. Me and a friend left Merseyside at 6 in the morning and drove 2.5h, just to get our cars registered and parked up, as we had show car tickets. Only heard about people unable to get in at 1/2ish in the afternoon, got no one to blame but yourself really.
