This confusion of whether to be with parents or with guru has been the biggest challenge for a spiritual seeker. The identity that we have built up so far is the obstacle here not that there is something right or wrong in any direction. If this sense of identity is dissolving then path is absolutely clear. I know I am going to entangle myself but this is the situation where I must remain in devotion to the ultimate. Calculation of which one is better is the not the way. once one does the calculation he only lose both but if one becomes inclusive and remain in the grace of the ultimate then even every loss is the ultimate and win is the ultimate. there is no "Aham" and "Mama" every thing is "ParamBrahma".
