Ordered my bobcat back in September 2021 just got it a week ago May 2022, glad it arrived and will be on network soon. Manufacturing may be running into more issues with supply good luck to anyone who orders them you will get it but it maybe longer then expected

I remember when I first looked at these they would pay for themselves in less than a month but they were 3-4 months back ordered, so I didn’t bother, than I noticed the map around me getting crowded. Now it looks like it could take 1.5-4 years to pay for itself at today’s price.

Hey! Vosc, finally received my bobcat a few weeks ago. Just in time for the price to crater....hard to track any success here. Keep up the great work. I really appreciate your sharing this info. I agree that helium needs to bundle these apps, it’s insanity with all the apps open. I’m constantly forgetting “which app does what”. Thanks again!

I was thinking of the Bobbo 500 bc I saw a link on one of your sites for a BobCat Miner. Problem is that its almost 3K. Is there a calculator that you know of where I can see how much I can make in a year? Also, w the Bobcat, does it connect to Wifi? Or... I'm thinking of mining HNT so I can buy an 12K Antminer.. makes sense right?

Ordered my BobCat last year in July, Finally received it two weeks ago. Made about 1.5 HNT and then the May 11th patch hit, Nada but Data transfer earnings since then 0.000000045 HNT per day. At this rate by ROI will be in 20 years! LOL

It's been about 5 days since i've made any HNT. I was making $3-4 per day before the stupid update on the 11th. Wish i would've bought more GPUs for mining. I have a Bobcat 300 i ordered in October and received it just about 2 weeks ago trying to sell it but not having much luck....whenever it sells i'll be using the funds to buy more GPUs for mining when prices drop after ETH mergers to pos.

NEED HELP, I got my bobcat 300 about a week ago. I keep trying to register it and it’s starts to. I’m not closing the app or clicking away from the “Registering Hotspot” page however, after about 2 days it just stopped. Didn’t give any error message or anything. I just started registering it again hoping it works this time. Has anyone else had this problem??

Ive had my bobcat 300 for about 1.5 almost 2 years and i could not get it to connect to the network. I just tried again yesterday and connected to the network, but could not run any diagnostics to get the ip address. So I unplugged it to reset it and now I can run the diagnostic but still cant get the ip or connect to the network when I go to update wifi i get an error. Also for so reason the bobber app is not available on the apple app store anymore and the blue helium hotspot app pretty much doesnt do anything. Does anyone have any advice moving forward on what I can do and what apps to use to be successful in getting the miner to work.

Don’t have big expectations, and HEIGHT. Your antenna needs to be OUTSIDE and AS HIGH UP AS POSSIBLE. If you put it up high, go higher. You need as much height as possible. And always, check your cables. If you wanna do well, You need to optimize your setup. That’s the way to do it

Starting with HNT now? Enjoy your $0.25 per day... After 6 months I finally got my Bobcats and I haven't bothered taking them out of the box. The resale on these has cratered as well as they are now listed at at best a break even price on facebook

Don't the miners also require a connection to your high speed internet? Seems to me that ever since the original dev team split, it's becoming less and less long-term viable. When you consider the need to provide a separate high-speed internet connection and a CBRS radio, will it ever actually break even?

I'm starting to think that slow shipping of the bobcat was purposeful. Right when they got rid of all the profitable incentives. The miners rolled out like butter. Now that Hellium is worthless to mine now. You gotta be on top of Mount Everest to make a dollar a day now..

I'll go sign up but I would like to see Goldshell box given away. I have 3 helium miners and like Vosk said they need attention and at time are annoying to have to call your family to go over there to fix the miner. Then get asked why you spend more time now at their house than before getting the miner. Bobcat miner was supposed to be shipping out this Month but got an email say they were behind and are now looking at 1-2 months more. My Freedomfi miner is doing the best right now but it also has the advantage of being at my house where I can tweek.

Until today, i still haven't found anyone capable of telling me clearly what are the real utilities of HNT? DeFi? Smart contract? Farming? Staking? What can you do with HNT?

These are great questions! Each address a specific real life problem. HNT is the easy one. It’s a wireless cellphone network. If you compare it to existing telecoms coverage, you will see it competes very well with AT&T & TMobile. (T-Mobile rents a network connection in low coverage areas and basically is a weak & piecemeal network.) HNT will easily fill in local connectivity for 5G devices.(at this time there is only one 5G chip, from The Chinese Company, now on a blacklist embargo!) we are way way behind, and 5G is a fake in the USA, only showing on your phone, but not using the 5 gigabyte bandwidth. Yes, we are being lied to again by the telcos. Smart contracts and defi are an attempt to put useful functions on a blockchain. Eliminating old systems like crappy bank software, insurance apps & decentralized ownership and governance, not owned by a big corporation. ( at least not yet!) For Farming, watch Vosc again, he explains it the best! Staking, you are on your own, haha...

Honestly I have two Rak v2 miner’s and they both are sitting in boxes On a shelf, I tried one of the miners with an Omni 8 DBI antenna 35 feet in the air and I was lucky to get around three dollars in a months time because of no other people around me so I learned it’s like Real estate location location location.

8di goes out like 30+ miles if i recall. Is it a rakwireless antenna? If you're real far out you can always try a 12dBi Directional Antenna from rakwireless it will surely pickup anything and everything lol.

Not unless you want to split the profits between them. You want to have the other miner on another HEX. You'd be better off placing the second miner at a family member or friend's house.

@@leekatzmarek2916 i got a little over 5 hnt and at the rate I am going its going to take over two years to get any sort of ROI, I got an upgraded 8bdi fiberglass antenna thats about 8 meters off the ground, that 8dbi is only up for about almost a month so I am hoping i can get get better returns over time. Pro tip make sure you get a better antenna and have it set up before you plug in your miner, basically do a bit of planning and make sure you only input the hight and type of antenna once and not multiple times, and check your location first and see what your area is like. Sorry to go on and on but I figured you would want more then a 5 hnt. Basically not very great at this moment in time.

I'm a noob. Can anyone confirm if you still need internet to mine Helium or can you mine HNT over the Helium network? When I looked into this project you needed internet to make internet and that sounded weird to me.

I'm fond of what i've seen from BobCat, I've been attempting to even put in an order to even get in line to get one, but with how the market is for everything right now i'm in too much pain to justify spending $400 worth of any coins with their current valuations and with some fun life surprises lately I don't have any extra dosh to just buy the amount to buy one outright. I'll end up getting one eventually, by then it will never pay itself off, but I'll do it I swear. Glad your vid popped up today, I had coincidently had HNT/mining on the brain along with your channel (they are synonymous to me at this point) so it was nice to see as a kind of refresher. Your location, saturation, and antenna height seem to be most important imo. I’ve been mining since September 2021. I was averaging 20 hnt a month. 2 months ago they made a change and my average went to 7 hnt a month. They just did an update. Pretty much everyone’s miner wasn’t working the last couple days. They just came back online a couple hours ago so I’m not sure what new earnings will be. Since moving isn’t really an option, the best thing you can do is buy LMR cable and rak antenna and put it as high as you can possibly put it. Inches can make a big difference. I made my money back quickly. Partly Bc I was mining more coins, but also at one point the coin got to 50 bucks. The new update eliminated many things that new miners would have issue with. Like relayed miners. Good luck to you. I hope you live in a good area and can get your antenna high.

I have a extra Bobcat 300 i ordered and don't need since i have a MNTD blackspot now. If you know anyone interested in buying it off me it's listed on Ebay. The fees on Ebay to sell are like 12-13% so i would have to sell it above msrp and taxes just to break even also including an 8dbi rakwireless fiberglass antenna.

Thanks for another great video about helium. I would definitely choose bobcat 500 or the bobcat 300 if the 500 is not available. How are you getting on with the solar panels? Keep us informed.

I don't think helium is worth it, I've gotten my miner and am earning like 40 cents a day. I'm picking up other hotspots but I'm getting absolutely nothing Any way you can help me?

I live on one of the worlds largest and highest quality helium deposits in the world. But I don’t own the mineral rights, so maybe this will have to do.

Helium has been great the past two days. Lol 😅 jk jk. All of my bobcats are sleeping. Waiting on validators. I hope I get on a validator that's updated soon. I only have a growing post gap ATM. I did notice the larger reward in hnt compared to activities. So I'm ready to stack more coins while prices is down! Let's go!

Yaaa order a Bobcat Miner make loads of money...alll excited nope you have to wait months for them to arrive...still waiting thank god i order the Bobcat as the other horror stories Vosk points out...wow...Also as i have been waiting ages...5G is now coming wtf...what will happen to the 4G one i dont even have yet...PS yes i ordered 10 of them as they take so bloody long to come! in for a penny in for a pound
