I'm younger than this generation, but I used to listen to a radio statio than plays this kind of music RJ 100. Now you bring back childhood memories. And you played it so well, put me in a very relaxing mood
Our combo "Surf Sonics" lead Nonoy Vallacer played this in our gigs around "63/64. The crowd would call out "Swit! Swit!" and grab their partners. Enterprising dudes would "bakud" their pick. We use to visit the Electromaniacs at their manager Jose Mari Gonzalez's studio in San Juan for guitar tips. Ernie Delgado/lead played this on an orig cherry red Gibson SG400 w/Swiss echo machine. Other members were Chito Perez (2nd lead) Fender Jazzmaster ,Emil Caballero /Fender Precision bass and Lito Toribio (Premier drums) . Lito gave drum lessons to our mgr/drummer Rolly R. Our lead played this using at first a Fender Strat , but like Bill, Nonoy discovered a Fender Jazzmaster sounded closer to their Gibson SG400. Thanks for the memories.
This tune was composed and recorded by Ernie Delgado with his band the Electromaniacs in the early sixties, not '80s. Ernie was visiting from Manila with his drummer and bass player in 2015 and I had the chance to jam with them together with a lot of former Filipino band members from the sixties who now live in California.
Nestor would that be in Knotsberry Farm during the reunion of Pinoy Classic Rockers? I met him too but he was in a hurry to leave, so his son was the one that stayed with us and Lito Toribio.
Hey Nice Guy, thanks for your question. Just go to my web site www.billsmusic.ca and Join our group. This opens the pages for the guitar tabs you want and possible backtrack download. To meet the requirement for backtrack download, I will need a number of people signed up to qualify for proper copyright release. Only then can I offer my backing tracks to you. The web site has all the info. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
+Danilo Pasicolan Hey Danilo, thanks for the feedback. I'm just learning. This tune has its challenges. The backtrack will be available once I get this licensing thing looked into. Stay in touch by subscribing or visit my web site www.billsmusic.ca for updates. Enjoy.
