I'm a bit jealous that you've heard this album for the first time. Such a treasure even still after 3 years. Just the fact: Lily and the Moon is about Jacob's old dog, recently she's gone
Man, this album changed my life, i was in such a dark place when i discovered this, and it just gave me the most powerfull uplifting energy i ever felt. I listened to this so many times that it feels like i have been listening to this my whole life. I feel that this album has saved alot of lives, just like linkin park did in the early days
Glad you found Thornhill....I discovered this album only a couple on months ago and after a few dozen listens it's still rocks me. Although we both missed it the first time round at least we found it now 🤘
Man I wish I could hear this album for the first time again. Even now I feel like floating for 42 min when listening to it, but still. Good review, man, was great to see your genuine reactions to this banger of an album!
This has to be a top 5 if not a top 3 album for me, its absolutely perfect in every single way. Lily and the Moon always makes me tear up while remembering my old dog Milos. May Lily and Milos play happily together wherever they are now.
Glad to see more people enjoy smaller bands' music, but not gonna lie - the fact that you didn't appreciate pre-chorus guitar riff in Nurture has genuinelly hurt me. Hear me when I say - it's amazing and you can watch a playthrough to see how it's played
I won’t lie, I was a little salty at first when you switched up Northlane and Thornhill in the beginning. But throughout the reaction I noticed your sincerity of opinion and attention to detail, making this one of the most solid/respectable album reviews yet. By the second time you switched up Northlane and thornhill I was just like yup, I totally see where this guy is coming from XD Keep it up bro I’m digging these 👊
"The singer doesn't seem to scream that much..." *proceeds to scream his heart out* Honestly, I haven't heard such a flawless album since Sound Awake by Karnivool. Incredibly underrated band. Highly recommend giving the Sound Awake album from Karnivool listen in chronological order like you did with this one. This band is if Karnivool, Deftones and Muse had a baby. The dynamics as well as the ebbs and flows from Karnivool, the grungy esk / low fuzzy feeling from Deftones and Muse kinda. Great band.
Personally this is the best album I've ever heared. I've been following this band ever since the nurture single came out and since then no other album has peaked this
One of the best fucking vocalist around. Fell in love with this band over the last couple months. Have already listened to both albums countless times 😂
Going to see Make them suffer in November, Thornhill is supported so look up the band, find this album it's blows me away, absolute top tier can't wait to see them
Cuando el rock agonizaba nuevamente...nace esto y lo demás para levantar como ave fenix desde las cenizas y tocar las estrellas 💫... Thornhill es bestialidad celestial
Im listening to this album since it came out. My favorite moment of this record is when the 2. Chorus of lily and the moon drops! Its faster and differently played. Dont know in what tuning their in but DAMN it hits so hard. After 257985 listens im still getting goose bumps. I have seen many reactions on this album and its quite funny that no one is out their shoes when it hits. :) maybe Im a bit weird then. haha
Lily And The Moon and most of the album (I think all of the album except for Views From The Sun and the ending of Where We Go When We Die) is in drop F#
amazing to watch the end of red summer hit someone for the first time. FYI Red Summer was originally called "The Dark Pool" and was to be the title track. not sure why they changed thier mind on it though I think it made sense tbh
Dude you need to check out some more bands from Australia. They got somethin in the water over there lmao. But Mirrors “the egos weight” is a great album from a band that needs more recognition
Last year alone I listened to like 45,000 minutes of this. I will never get over it. LOVE THIS REACTION TO IT ASWELL! 🤙🤙 If you like this man, please, please listen to Pridelands and their new album called Light Bends. And react to it! It is sooooo fucking good.
Yeah I know what you by new yet somehow familiar. Nostalgia for something you've only heard the first time is great. Sad yet I'm kind of happy while listening in a interesting way. Love their ambience/sound layers as well, reminds me of Tesseract another great band. For Thornhill though, you should do their Butterfly EP--the release before this one--as well, if you haven't heard it already, because it's great as well, and if you want to hear more screams too. You could also include their stand alone singles Temperer and Limbo as well which are great songs, even if not on any albums/eps.
@@SinfulScreams nice, yeah definately do it. Their first ep 13 is good too, though very different more nu influenced and hardcore, gives me Underoath vibes for some reason, maybe because his screams in some parts?
@@SinfulScreams Nurture's instrumental version is now my alarm on my phone. It's hard to sleep through not because it's loud but because that riff is so groovy.
Damn these boys! Giving us everything we have never heard of! And then going to do the worse! Archtitects and bring me the horizon has done it fitst😢😢😢
