To think of putting 10 puzzles together is really creative thinking. Impressive. I would have never thought of it myself. Definitely two thumbs up. That was a fun video
We had puzzles where there are 3 different ones in one box and they of course were mixed together but as these were like max. 50 piece puzzles it wasn't that much of a challenge. Is too long ago to remember how it was.
I know she said what was going on with the off-set pieces, but man, that cat's eye at 16:57 is really messed up, it freaks me out how wrong it looks, lol
You always me laugh out loud with your running commentary, such as ‘Do I hate myself this much?’ Ot ‘Why am I doing this to myself?’ Love your videos- they make me forget that I’m sitting in the middle of a world crisis for the 20 or so minutes I tune in to you. Thank you for that. Love the puppies too , by the way.
Okay. Hear me out- a puzzle shadow box. That’s all I could think about when I saw the shot of all the edge pieces together and stacked on top of each other. Who doesn’t love puppies am I right
Mixing up puzzles... i didnt do that yet but my aunt did by accident. I gave her a triptychon puzzle and she gave it back to me saying that she couldnt solve it... and i saw that she mixed all 3 parts together... :D there was a lot of black and white and not a lot of saturated colors so i had to put a bit of extra work into this. there were no _puppies_ on the puzzle. because i know you would have asked.
You're so brave for doing 10 of the same puzzle. Luv the "puppies" 😉 I did mix 3 1000 puzzles together they were all by Buffalo puzzles but 3 different 1000 puzzles. It was lots of fun and gave me a chance to use the big dining table that my family has 🤣😂
To make the new dining room table more camera-friendly, you could pull a large, white sheet of paper (I'm imagining the kind that comes on big spools) or untextured table cloth over top. You could use either when you're puzzling on those puppies and then remove them when you're done!
I first thought that they were each 1000 pieces, I was like omg she is crazy’! Hahah amazing video love your energy!😍 and tbh this is totally Corona quarantaine mood 😂
Puppies!! My son mixed two of my puzzles by mistake. He assumed it was one. At times i will work on two at the same time and usually in a different room in my home. Thos one time both were in the same room. Luckily one was a 1000 piece pomegranate puzzle and the other was a 3000 piece so the pieces were different sizes and feel. The sorting sucked but all pieces accounted for. Lesson learned was he is not allowed to clean my rooms where i puzzle lol
My almost 7 year old just took 3 48 piece puzzles, mixed up all 144 pieces and then solved the puzzles, one on top of te other - in less than 15 min. When he did this- it totally reminded me of this video! Thank you!!
I'm oddly fascinated by your fascination with puzzles- i'm currently struggling through BetterCo's 'space man' puzzle that's basically half earth, half space and there is no way to do it besides sorting by shape and trial and error. I get like 3 pieces an hour. it feels like I'm lost in space! have you done anything like that?
I'm actually working on a puzzle too. It has balloons floating in the sky & the bottom half are snowy mountains & yes it take me 3 peices an hour too lol. My mom is helping me. I am also oddly fascinated with these videos too lol.
I just found your puzzle channel through my younger brother, but I know of you from the HP Christmas Ornaments Videos (I watched them last year. Such good content!) Anyway! I went to China 3 years ago and noticed that my niece and nephews puzzles were a HUGE mess! I sat down with them one day and I sorted out about 20+ different puzzles with NO guide pictures or boxes, the pieces were all sorts of sizes which helped, some were missing pieces and I didn't know how big any of them were. Thankfully I had the kids (5, 4 & 3 years old) actually working on building the puzzles, as I dug into a bin of pieces individually sorting each one. It was crazy and took about 2 hours. But in the end it was like "Hey! I/we did that! What a Challenge!" The ones that were whole got donated in ziplock bags to the kids friends and their preschool, unfinished ones that were missing pieces or broken went to crafts and to the trash. Loved puzzles got to stay with the kids. This video was a fun reminder of that memory. Thanks!
I've never had the patience to finish a puzzle, i think i have the attention span of 5 puppies, but your videos are so inspiring and calming, I could watch them all day. Keep doing what you do!!
This made me smile, and we all need more smiles thesedays. What a fun idea... mixing puzzles. I may try that with my Colin Thompson puzzles... as those have recurring images/motifs throughout them. Think it would be a fun challenge. And, your crazy puzzling day, look at those 'puppies' going to another home that needs them... Bravo :-)
I totally love this idea! But honestly: Who will buy a puzzle 10 times? :D Without such a nice company this would be a little bit crazy. 😅 And i love your new studio. It looks so nice! ❤
I did it once to all my 60 pcs puzzles. I was too old to enjoy them anymore, but then I needed help from my mum, as mixing them together made it too difficult :D
I have bad sight to the point of stabbing pains in my eyes so 500 is my limit. 500 is my equivalent of an average persons 1000. Piece. I like 300 piece.
You are the puzzle-queen Karen!! I am so impressed, it would have taken me 2 days at least...I haven't mixed puzzles yet, but I will definitely try at some stage. Love the kitten and puppies puzzle. Stay amazing 🤩
You are so funny- We love your channel- The whole time we were screaming at the TV- "Karen, you can't fit all those pieces on that table!!! " Loved watching the "puppies" .I might try this with dollar store puzzles- We just bought an 8ft folding table to do puzzles on.
I've always found it interesting how you say "doing" the puzzle rather than "building" the puzzle..cool video! I'm always impressed by how easily you are able to strategize and find a system that works for each respective puzzle
This might be slightly crazy, but I'm still stuck on the same 1500 piece puzzle (have been for a couple of weeks and have done some other ones to still feel like I'm progressing, but OMG these abstract patterns in shades of red do take some time to assemble. It's supposed to look like an evening dress made of red satin or something but I won't see until it's finished. And I believe I've mixed a couple 100 piece puzzles together as a child. That was kinda fun at the time, but they were also puzzles I'd done more than once. This whole COVID situation got me back into puzzling (jigsaw, I've been doing stuff akin to sudoku and other logic puzzles for a longer amount time now) and I discovered this channel around the same time. One of those puzzles was Lion King. Not quite Puppies, but it was just as cute (I still remember that one about 17 years later. Either my memory is great or I did it too often, but probably both).
There was a puzzle back in the mid 80's that Hallmark had. It was a White Cat laying on Black Carpet... and a Black Cat laying on a White Carpet... and they were both equal in size and mixed together in one box. It was a very challenging puzzle set... one which I wish I still had... but maybe you could find it on EBay and try that out. Awesome Video... and PUPPIES!!!
JUst an FYI... I found the puzzle and it is called "Split Personality Puzzle" and it is avaliable on EBay from multiple sellers. It was actually made by Springbok but I remember purchasing it at a Hallmark store. You really should try it... I think you would like it!
I just discovered your channel and I'm really close to buying a puzzle for myself, it's been a whole decade since I last did a puzzle and I forgot how much I used to love puzzling. Thank you!
A couple of days ago I finished the ravensburger krypt in silver. After I saw it on your channel I thought that this could be something for me and I was right, it was so much fun! I already ordered the gold and the black one because I was so obsessed!
I am so glad you are doing this not me 😂. Puppies are the cutest for sure to keep us smiling. Just a thought- I would love to see how a puzzle factory, how do they cut it. Thank you as always for all your videos .
I discovered your channel yesterday and this is my favorite video of yours so far, it is oddly satisfying to see all the puzzle edges stacked on top of each other at around 11 minutes in and you also have a really sweet giggle and it makes me smile whenever you're laughing at how confusing the puzzle is.
I bought the White Mountain mini cereal puzzles because of your channel and have mixed them up! Putting the Cheerios pieces was a pill 💊😫, but still fun at the end! I also tried to make fun patterns of them, inspired by your Areaware puzzle video, and thought it was so cool that you did the same on another video using the mini cereal puzzles! Great puzzle minds think alike! Love this channel so much!! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
Cute puppies. Yes, I once mixed two puzzles together. I wasn't really finding it all that fun and interesting to do the same puzzle twice at the same time. The fun of doing puzzles is "getting to know" it as you're putting it together. Doing two at the same time was more like working on an assembly line where it didn't matter so much. Can't imagine doing ten at once! Oh my! My current puzzle is one I've had since I was a little girl and there are several pieces missing now. It's only 600 pieces, but it's hard because, except for the edge pieces, they are all the same shape and they don't lock together at all. Plus there are many pieces that look like they go together, but don't. It takes a long time to do it, but I know it like an old friend.
Oh I have something similar I have a one of those box sets that come with a 2 x 300, 2 x 500, 1 x 700 and 1 x 1000 pc and they are all the same theme (nature) and same size pieces and they all reside in a storage container mixed together haha
Here's an idea: find a few different puzzles that all use the exact same cut. Mix the pieces together, and then turn all the pieces upside down. Now you solve a solid color puzzle (or several, if you want to use every single piece) and then flip it over to see what weird image you've created. Also, puppies!
Ha ha , it’s your favourite!! Kittens and “puppies”!! I didn’t notice, but if there were mountains in the background ( and possibly a lake) then THAT would be perfect puzzle It’s got it all, everything you look for in a puzzle….including fur!!! Hooray for furry baby animals 🙂🐿
Awe, love the puzzle image. =) Neat challenge. =) I haven't done it before. Yeah, that looks really neat (when they were stacked with just the edges done). =) The puppies and kittens are adorable. ;)
A way to make this a lot harder would be to mix puzzles together that are different designs, but similar images and colours. Like mix 2 gradient puzzles, but one is the normal one, and the other is the colour shift. Or the Areawear puzzle in puzzle puzzles where they're both in grey scale. Just some fun ways to mix it up. LOL
Cute little puppies 🐶 what an amazing job. When you had all 10 borders stacked on top of each other looked like it could be a picture frame. Looked really awesome. Take care 💖😊
I used to be obsessed with puzzles. But now I am into Diamond art which is sort of like jigsaws but with rhinestones. There is something so satisfying about jigsaws 😍
I watched this with my 5 year old. We loved the picture, especially the puppies. I dont know if I would ever willingly mix together 10 of the same puzzle... but it was entertaining to watch you do it.
Today I got my first puzzle in a really long time. (I bought 2 in the last few years but I never even opened them and I think I gave them away) AND I actually been working on this puzzle for about 2 hours. All because of your channel! Thank you :D I'm subscribing now haha.
Can I say Tiger, Eugene, and puppies lol just watched my third video and didn't comment bc I clicked on the next one too fast 🤣. Came over from your HGTV and just love all of your content. Can't wait for the third piece of the giant puzzle 🧩🧩🧩. Happy spring everyone if your still reading and have a great day 🙂
My three (almost 4) year old is getting so good at her 24 piece puzzles, that i mix them together to give her a challenge!! She even has a puzzle with some puppies in it!
I've been holed up with Covid for over a week and have watched loads of your videos. Just want to say that I resonate with so many of the things you say. My brother and I used to do ALL of our puzzles and tessellate them all on the living room carpet. Or do them all and make them into stepping stones to get around without touching the floor (?!?) I also had 3 wooden puzzles that I loved and still have 2 to this day. One of the UK and one of Europe with each piece being a county or country. The sea was tricky. Finally when |I discovered your birthday was the exact same as my daughters just 20 years out I thought - spooky.
Karen, I have no idea how you do this. I've binged 3 of your videos so far since I started a 500 piece dollar store puzzle, and I'm still not done with the edge! I have to have sorted them wrong, but dear lord you have a talent.
I have never mix puzzles together at least not on Purpose. Just a little fun fact about me I have three puppies the largest ones 130 pounds. They bring me so much joy I don’t know what I will do well they’re not here anymore they range in age from 6 to 15 years old. Always love your videos and this one was no exception.
Your title imploded my brain. I can’t even keep watching this - I tried doing one of those puzzles with the same picture front and back with one side rotated 90 degrees. Uh-uh. Nope. No way. Gotta go now. But I LOVE your laugh - talk about contagious! 😩 😂✌️
I have to admit that when you mentioned that the puzzles would not perfectly align, my OCD bat signal went off and I immediately grasped what you meant. I commend you on your 'challenge' but it isn't one I will take. I think my mind would meltdown from the stress. And as much as I love kittens and puppies I think I would be thoroughly sick of them for a long while after this challenge. Great video and very creative challenge. Also, I love the new setup.
You could turn this into a relief puzzle, like a carving. Pieces close t the camera could be stacked 10 tall, with the background only being one layer deep, and adjusting the height for different depths.
When I was a kid we had a set of six puzzles that had the same cut pieces but different pictures. For fun I would mix and match the pieces to create a chaotic mess. When the puzzles were done correctly you could place them in a set to make an even bigger image. I loved those puzzles but they sadly disappeared along with most of my other childhood puzzles when we moved as I was a teenager.
