We moved from US to Ghana the end of September 2022 and do not regret it at all! My husband is Ghanaian and I love every thing about our life our mini farm, our 50 acre farm and all of our business ventures! We have been helping peopleby answering their questions and helping them relocate, it is an awesome feeling to be able to share this information. Thank you for all you do and for sharing stories to help people understand more about GHANA and specifically Africa. Keep up the great work.

Jay Cameron is an excellent teacher. I've come to the conclusion that Africans and African Americans have unconditional love for anything European. Even the ones who complain about racism in the US choose to move to Europe to "escape" racism. Look at the number of African Americans who are moving to Portugal. They don't realize how much our sisters and brothers are being oppressed there. Africans have been in Portugal for more than 600 years, yet they have no political or economic power whatsoever. We can fuel the flames of white supremacy without even realizing it may times.

I am African-American, but raised pan-African. I was raised to learn about the continent of Africa, the history of colonization and the transatlantic slave trade, as well as the diaspora’s cultural roots and connection to Africa in-depth. Still, it came with the awareness of how much the US system attempts to disparage African identity and heritage. We are all closely intertwined, whether we’re consciously aware of it or not. In our mannerisms, music, dances, spiritual practices, and beyond. I’m excited for the day I get to visit Africa. I also want to help forge closer connections and community because our first and second generation peers from Africa or the Caribbean / Latin America in the US.

I concur sista. The disconnection relies in the lack of knowledge being taught in the education systems Here In the states, most of our education is taught by the colonizer. We aren’t taught about African history nor are we taught about Afro Latin history nor Afro Caribbean history nor are we taught about countless black inventions nor the Gullah Geeche who birthed black culture here in the states such as foods, customs, music such as jazz, blues, ragtime, etc. We are only taught we were slaves and that’s it. Those who control the platforms control “his-story”. We are more than slaves, we need to define our story with our narratives! The disconnect in the continent is AA history isn’t taught in certain African schools. European history is first taught before anything, that is the same predicament we face here in the U.S. We should bridge the gap and foster a deeper connection. Divided we fall, United we stand.

He speaks the truth in general to travel internationally. I’ve been to 24 countries in Europe as a black person and I always encountered people willing to help, assist, and show hospitality. I’ve made friends some lasting and some short term for that journey but I always encountered wonderful friendly people even in places where some would think I’d be rejected based on skin color. I even had bus drivers go out of their way to be helpful. It truly is about having an open heart and mind to new cultures and people and they will treat you like an honored guest if you show genuine interest in them and their culture.

I just find myself nodding when this brother speaks, he is an excellent ambassador to black people in the US. To one point he made about everyone in Ghana speaking English as the lingua franca, it was actually Hausa before colonialism from my understanding. Most of these countries are colonial inventions so they administered them in their language.

Thank you Jw for this interview. I was just in Ghana for three weeks in December to January. It was the most fantastic I awakening, spiritual experience. I read in my life. I’m back in America now planning my move to go to. I love Ghana. It’s so peaceful people are so loving I did not stay in a hotel. I met some people from Ghana. I went there I live with the family eyes Stayed in the neighborhood live the way they live. Oh my God it was the most great experience I ever experienced in my life. I renewed a spirit in me that I never knew I had and I want to thank you for what you do. I’ve been watching you for years now and I had to go and experience got it for myself and I did and God has blessed me tremendously in my soul and my spirit in my mind my health is better I love Donna. Thank you Jay for what you do.

Why did europeans wear those wigs? The answer is in a book called "Dirt" by Terence Mclaughlin. In summary, they used to wear those wigs because they didn't like to bathe and consequently had all kinds of little varmints in their hair. The wigs were just to cover up the dirt and creatures in their hair. If Ghanain judiciary knew this, they would take those things off immediately. It does look ridiculous. I read this book in one sitting and after, I just wanted to take a bath.

Ancient Egyptians were the first to wear wigs. It was a symbol of status & rank. House Slaves also wore them as did their owners.

I love this conversation. The work climbing out of the colonial mindset is essential to Africa rising to becoming who God created it to be. We need to let all the God given knowledge and culture shine. Yes it is true that religion was used a a weapon of colonization but remember that just because someone twisted and used the Bible as a weapon of racial superiority is not an excuse to attack the truth of the Bible as a white man’s religion. Go back to the original source of truth. There is truth.

Yeah the truth is that most diaspora and African-Americans are from West Africa and some parts of south-west Africa. But the same as Cameron is saying they wanted to change the history of African-Americans and stated to promote Kenya and East Africa just to distort and also change their mind set of relocate and their culture. But everyone who study knows most East Africans were mostly sent to Asia and far East . Who will travel from Europe for labour and slave in Africa for the America. And will travel past west Africa to the far East Africa. What a lose business is that. Don’t let them still change your history and still write your story

My Family Tree is both. My Mother side is from Al Kebulan. Great-great-great grand parents (husband & wife) from Nigeria who sailed to Antillies themselves. They had their own shipping company they moved to St. Vincent & The Grenadines. On my Father's side, Indeginous Americans of the Antillies (Caribs). I am truly in words & DNA African American. If you are going to black africka the first thing that you should look to have is a small plot of land build a one bed room with toilet and shower if your pocket is not deep then from there you will look at how you can create a job but the best thing is to be in a common unity with like minded people like yr self then you all can build together faster and quicker but if you have an individualistic mindset then you may go back to the United States broke I am in the freezer and once I leave I don't intend to come back to it considering they want to have like how china have there people if you don't go along with what the state wants then you will not be able to go anywhere all the so Cal technology is a trapp to keep u in the concrete jungles
