i started mowing around 9-11 years of age. To be quite honest i find it very therapeutic and relaxing either Mowing, Or watching Someone Mow. It seriously calms me down. Can anyone explain why it does?
my uncle used to have a non motorized push mower ..when I was a boy I used to push that darn thing...Several years ago I bought my first zero turn...oh happy days....everyone should have to push starting out. makes you appreciated todays mowers
Love watching the big cats prowl in the tall grass!!! I had come to terms with the fact I wouldn't ever buy a commercial Scag due to cost, but when I started comparing all the mowers for my place Scag was the only mower I felt confident would cut my entire property and I'm so glad I did. My wife had to laugh and point out the tiny discharge on the mowers at the big box stores over the weekend - she's sold on Scag too!
lol, yea the discharge chute on the Scag is huge! Well, you see what I put mine through and as you browse my videos you'll find that this was one of the tamer videos. Nothing has ever broke on my Scag and it's 6 years old!
ill answer the question for him, no, it doesn't come stock with a bagger attachment, however there is plenty of bagger's out there that fit the cheetah and turf tiger.
Good morning, Something 2LookAt. It's been several weeks since his last video, and I'm sure all his followers are eager to see new videos, because they are fantastic. Thank you very much. Greetings.
This is the best mowing channel. I tried your unusual trimmer grip technique the other day. Tricky when not used to it. Keep up the vids. May the weather gods shine or rain on you as needed
Was wondering how he was able to stand so straight while trimming, without Darwin's Grip, then your comment made me realize how this is possible. Ultra-lite trimmer probably helps with this method also. Might be hard to hold that position for long periods with a Sthil fs131r.
When doing cleanups ive always recommended grass killer sprayed along fence line and around house to save them money if they dont do weeklys and only do monthlys. Works really well.
Yes! Great idea. They do that at our park. They spray the fence line with some serious stuff in the Spring, and I don't see it grow back for the whole summer.
I’ve been mowing yards professionally for 7 years now and one product I can highly recommend is quick chute. They are extremely convenient and super simple to use I notice you normally just throttle back your mower to keep from throwing the clippings into other yards or what ever but I think you could really benefit from using a quick chute type system for your scag.
Quick chute, I'll look it up. Aha, I see it. Great design. $300. Hey Quikchute! Want some free advertisement? I'll do a video exclusively on your product. That's the 61" Scag Velocity deck... hehe.
I have a lawn business myself, you are a good worker and to the best as can be expected for this kind of yard, I hope you got paid well because I know it took some time and hard work, at least double the price I hope you charged. I have a 2011 Cub Cadet L60 Tank Zero turn and I love it, I have two steel weed eaters but I need an edger like yours.
LMFAO I’ve never seen a homeowner, let alone a professional lawn mower, cut grass with absolutely no pattern, no striping, or no plan. Just driving around in squiggly circles and random paths. Absolutely hilarious. 😂
I know that wasn't your property but I had a funny thought when I saw you weedeating around that play slide as you being the homeowner and yelling really loud.....HONEY I FOUND THE KIDS......lol Great job.....nice video.....definitely something to look at.
With that rough yard--all you can do is--as my father used to say,"If its green just make it all the same height"Great work on that place. When I mowed the towerfeild for a station I used to work for-wore long pants to prevent sunburn-only wore shorts ONCE-after I got a really bad sunburn.Long pants prevent that. Also brushes with trees, bushes and such. Those can tear up your legs.Esp whe I was using a rented bush hog to do the really bad parts of the field.
Hey Mike, Whoa 😲 Now that was a Clean up 👍🏻 I Really Enjoyed this Video because it Reminded me of the Old Days when you started your channel and you did these all the Time. When I saw you Trimming those Flower Beds in the Back I said to myself, Man I'm Sure Glad you did not hit that with your Mower, That would've been a Disaster 😱 I guess Thats why you walk the Yard First to uncover some of those Obstacles. Great Job, Thanks for Sharing .........
Yea, did you see the moment when I noticed that there was a planter there? Basically where I am on the preview picture. That dramatic pause was, oh, there's wood there...
Me myself I threw all my weed whacking and my edging and then I do my mowing at least in High stuff like that I have an opportunity when I do all the weed whacking along everything I could see what's in the yard and what isn't in the yard then I do my engineering and then I do my cutting because all the big clumps of stuff that you weed whacked down you have on your nice clean one I rather die it up with the machine then it looks nicer but nobody cuts the same
Certainly wished I had a Scag mower while mowing tower fields!Would have made it much easier-but convince a station to purchase one--tough go-At the time asked for a Yazoo rear turn Master Mower and got a Jacobsen lawn tractor instead-In those days the station traded ad time for goods like mowers and such.I tried a Yazoo at a park and liked it.Those steer like a boat from the rear wheel.Deck is up front.
I love your videos and seeing how a professional does the job. But I have a question for you. I have seen several of your posts and I have yet to see you pause to change the "business" end of the weed whacker. Of course, they may have been edited out but even so you seem to get a lot done without a pause. When I edge my lawn, it seems that I have to advance the filament every couple of feet. Do you use the nylon filaments or do you prefer to use the after-market plastic blades that are available? Thanks in advance for your info.
Of course I'm using an edger and a trimmer, 2 separate machines. The edger has a thick metal blade on it. The line trimmer or weedeater is wound with nylon line. I don't use up a lot of line because I've gotten precise with it over 30 in the business. Edging the driveway would use a lot of line because the cement acts like sandpaper wearing down the line.
I'm digging that mower, I have a BX Kubota with a 60 deck I mow my land with but would love one of those too. You do some serious bush hogging for a residential yard guy, nice filming and editing there, that has to take some time.
I just did my first mowing video recently where I tried to “be like mike” lol. That yard looked like a challenge but the scag didn’t even break a sweat. Awesome video
Something 2LookAt I surely do appreciate it. Any tips you have after seeing the video are also appreciated. It’s only a partial video because the other clips wouldn’t download for some reason. Still working on the full video
That might work if I did the head strap cam. Mounting it to the mower shows too much vibration. I have videos up where I did that. Just look through the list and look for the preview pics that look like they're from that angle.
