Just recovering from Covid again and every joint in my body was on fire for 10 days. If that was not enough half way through I started passing kidney stones so life has been very miserable. Seeing you leading the good life is a real tonic. The UK is done - they just don't realise it yet. Community is what counts in life.

Years ago I worked at a Caterpillar dealer that had a very busy track repair shop. There was powdered welding flux, grinding dust and metal dust everywhere. It was in a huge open bay building which normally kept the bad stuff blown out. The guys really were pretty good at keeping the place cleaned up. My friend and I had to walk past the track shop to get to the welding shop. At that time a tropical depression was moving through and a wind gust swept all that grit and grime out of the bay and just covered us up. Coughing, gagging and blinded by dust we made our way to the welding shop and took a quick dunk under the safety shower. Later that day the sun came out as I was driving home. Looking into the sun was like looking into an excruciating caliedoscope of colors. It got worse as the night came. After calling in and going to the eye doctor it was determined that my eyes were covered in rust! I had to go to surgeon and have them scrape the stuff off. I had to go for two weeks with patches over both eyes, no light whatsoever. I went back to get the patches off and the doc says... "Uh-oh". Folks that is the last thing you want to hear any doctor say much less the eye surgeon. My eyes were infected! Two more weeks of patches and having my mom babysit my 21 year old grumpy self. The patches did come off but I walked around with the blackest circles by my eyes. It took weeks for the bruises to go away and I even canceled a trip to Disney World because I didn't want everyone staring at me. Lars, take care of those eyes. It doesn't take much to make you appreciate them. Cheers Terry

I had a virus in my eye once.was horrible. And wasn't easy to get over.rare so took them a bit to find out what the problem was..glad your doing well agine larse.good to see u post agine.

And those wheel wells.. a bit of phosphoric acid diluted down with some ethanol and then paint with rest resistant paint.. You political system still has seemingly Tsarists ways (well Stalin sort of preserved them a bit).

Sounds like the wife got the equivalent job to what we call a county commissioner in the US. On the eye virus, did your eye get all red and then glue itself shut at night? My whole family caught that crap. The doctors thought it was pinkeye then concluded it was viral after the antibiotic eydrops failed to do anything.

Notwithstanding any local prejudices, perceived or otherwise, competence, hard work and 'delivering the goods' will pay dividends .. about which, I have no doubt regarding Mrs SR. Eyes .. take care my friend .. you have only two and there are no spares. Judging by your description and that you are now 'light sensitive', it sounds similar to Conjunctivitis ('Pink Eye') .. highly, highly contagious and debilitating! Been there, have the medal 😏. It's a relief to have you back making content. I also built my own house, an L-ranch, 50' × 82' outside dimensions, but I did it back in 1972, when I was 22 years old. I'm now 74 & a renter ( long story ). I admire you & the Mrs. ( at your ages ) for your hard labor & dedication to live in the area that you love.

I can tell you Lars one thing. Be grateful on the educational system there. I’m originally from Hungary but living in Canada in the past 26 years. In Hungary we had a same tough educational system but here in Canada it’s so much more “relaxed”. My son grew up here and barely graduated from high school and my 2. wife’s children… well.. One is 26, dropped off from college, the second is 21 finished high school but only doing online gaming, the third just finished high school and has no plans in life. I tried hard with my own son but my ex wife was against it and the argument about our son’s future let us to divorce. I’m not even asking the kids to do what we had to do just a little. But they have no willingness. I was 24 when I moved to Canada and that time I was a licensed mechanic with diploma in my hand. I learned Russian in school and after I finished the military I moved to Germany and learned German. Of course I understand Serbian (I grow up close to the border) and my Russian helped to pick up Serbian language. So… look at us, our generation and look at the kids here in the “free western world”. Huge difference. I’m 50 years old and I can out do any of my kids in pushups or any physical activity. I’m not special but today’s generation is way under educated. Be glad of the education system. It’s all good. Look at your wonderful wife with her red diplomas. The hard childhood learning pays off those long learning days. Wishing you and your whole family my best ❤ 🇷🇺
