This is track 1 from the 1981 album "Live At Ford Auditorium Volume 3". Written by Jimmy Dowell Recorded live at the Ford Auditorium in Detroit, Michigan on March 9, 1980.
This is the gospel music I grew up hearing in my home. My mom woke up EVERY Saturday to clean up an already spotless home with gospel music blasting the entire time. Back then I didn't appreciate it, what I wouldn't give to go back to hear her voice and see her cleaning up. Children appreciate your parents because one day they won't be around. 🙏
I relate...Once we get older and we realize our sincere need for God, and we look back and see how He has brought us through what nobody else could, these songs speak to our spirits in a powerful way...
The ministry in “I Need Him” has empowered me in some of the hardest moments of and darkest times in my life. I thank God for music ministry. It’s one of my strongest and most reliable vices as I press forward in this world.
This was recorded in Detroit Michigan March 9th 1980 at Ford Auditorium me and my mom and my family were in the audience listening to the live rendition of this awesome song
OMG!!! THE JAM from way back was one of the biggest most played song on radio and I mean EVERY Church Choir back then sang this in their Sunday morning service.
I gave a great deal of things to Marcel West. There are other treasures out there. I had a bunch of LIVE "Concerts" items stolen. Oh well, thanks again.
