Unsplit (round) wood holds moisture longer (also collects and holds atmospheric moisture longer), very often starts rotting in the middle (i`m talking about fresh-cut beech, hornbeam, maple), so i keep it split & stacked. Good & informative video, thanx for sharing !
Yeah this stuff started rotting a little wherever they had it stored. A good portion of it is spalted. But didn’t really lose any of its integrity. Early stages. 👌 Thanks for watching, my brother.
