I'm glad you felt that tick before it dug in for a gourmet. That could've ruined your entire Spring.....I itch just thinking about it. As always, safe travels annnd Thumbs up!😎👍
I just put a recipe for fleas and ticks on the 'short' reel you made, but here it is here: half a cup Witch Hazel, 3 tablespoons coconut oil, 2ml/40 drops Neem oil, 2ml / 40 drops Cedarwood oil, 1 tablespoon Castille soap liquid. This keeps the coconut oil emulsified and stops it clogging the spray. Shake/mix all ingredients well in a spray bottle. This was from a Vet on You Tube, Veterinary Secrets. He explains that the 1% dilution of the Neem oil and Cedarwood oil is animal safe. I could t link here but he is easy to find. I use this on my cats and dogs. Love Jo in France 🇫🇷
Thanks Ausia, I hate ticks, I guess it must be early season here too. That beautiful woodland looked like idea tick country. Lovely dinner, you mKE me so hungry all the time. Take care. Jo in France 🇫🇷
Base camp looks good, it’s nice you can all park close together. Enjoy yourselves! You gotta watch those awful ticks though. I had to dig one out of my son’s back once, it had already started to imbed itself in his skin, fortunately he has a special tool to remove them. We are traveling down to North Carolina in September to visit our son and daughter-in-law, can’t wait. The drive down is so lovely too. Those nachos sure looked yummy, gave me an idea for dinner! 😋🥰
Gosh that was a nice drive and not a bad camp ground. For some reason I remember that place do to the tower. Gee I hope you don't run across any more ticks. That is a nice part of the country especially the beach. Stay safe, enjoyed watching and Hugs to Moo moo.
So one made comment that it was 4 years ago that you and Ter & Scot were there. Wow I have been watching you that long . I still like to meet you and the Mini tribe. Only with your permission you are about 2 hours away.
Winter visitors in Florida leave too early. When the temps finally reach 85 degrees during the day they are afraid it will soon be to hot. It is actually the best time of the year. Oh well. South Caroline is also a favorite place of mine. Enjoy!
Welcome to the East. Its been a warm winter so the ticks will be awful this year. If you develop headache, a rash, fever and joint pain in the next couple of weeks be sure to get checked for Lime Disease. Early antibiotic treatment works the best.
Sometimes I wear my sports bra day and night. One time I had an itch for several days, and thought it was either a piece of elastic from the bra, or the little short hairs from my dog that had got caught in it. It's hard to see my back, but the itch was annoying so I went to my son't and asked him to check my back. It was an engorged tick that had gotten comfortably stuck in the back elastic and made itself to home. I went to a walk-in clinic and they told me there was basically nothing they could do, and I would have to wait to see if it carried a disease. I usually pat down my little dog before he goes in the house to be sure he's tick free.
Once I was wearing three layers of shirts, and a tick found its way under my bra! I covered it in Vaseline because its head was already planted in my flesh. It completely backed out, but it took a little while.
Last year my adult granddaughter got very sick with Lyme disease from a tick bite, on a visit to Mississippi. (Found the tick in her hair brush). I hope you don’t find any more.
If your filling up at a Murphy's in a Walmart, do you have the rewards they offer? I would just enter my sister's cell # and she earned points on my gas and purchases!! Enough that in a 2 weeks time on my expenses, she got up to a $1 per gallon off her fill up!! And then I helped her out again the very next month!! I laughed when I realized I was spending all the money and she was getting all the perks in San Antonio where gas was cheaper then anywhere I was!!
Wondering if MooMoo's up to date on her vaccinations and if you've had her tested for heartworm since you're spending alot of time around mosquitoes? They make good heartworm preventative that also cover ticks & fleas you might consider getting her on.
Until a few years ago, diesel was always cheaper than gasoline. The reason is, it cost less to refine, because it isn't refined as far as gasoline. It cost them less to produce, and it costs the consumer more, because, demand.
I am out here in quartzite and would love to visit some areas back east but the freeways are really rough Does it cost you very much like for your home to travel for repairs and is there maps or apps to find better roads 🙏
Diesel prices went up during the pandemic because nobody was shipping anything. They had to make up for their losses, but now it should go down again. We will hold our breath. 😶
