Hi Friends!
I’m pretty happy to be making container arrangements again! We found some really nice Hellebores and Pansies on a recent daycation trip. I definitely needed to get my hands in the soil and create something beautiful to look at!
The pre-chilled tulips that we planted together in a video are not growing as I had hope but we added a few in this arrangement just to see how they would do.
Here are 2 videos from my playlist about growing Hellebores and their care:

Bobbi, I love your planter idea! The old wash pan (that's what my grandma called hers) looks wonderful planted with the early spring flowers. I've never planted hellebores because I don't care for the down-facing blooms, but lately, I've noticed (on several RU-vid channels) that there are newer varieties with upward-facing flowers, so I'm going to add them to my want list for 2024. I'm anxious for the arrival of Spring. Hopefully, it will be a pleasant long one this year. ~Margie🤗🌷🐝🦋🐞

Thank you Margie! I’m anticipating a beautiful Spring too! Yes, there are definitely some great varieties of Hellebore with the upward facing blooms. Several of mine have upward facing blooms. Because it has been so warm and mild here, the bees are out and loving the Hellebore flowers!

Appreciate your update on the tulips, although it’s disappointing! Glad you were able to find another way to use them and it turned out so lovely 🌼💜

Thank you Carissa! It’s definitely disappointing about the tulips but at least next time I’ll know not to go that route! Thanks for watching friend!

I have never been to Lancaster, but I have always wanted to go. I do believe a trip is needed. I've been looking for some Hellebores they are a beautiful flower. I do like your wash pan as a planter. Looks great!

Beautiful container is very inspiring for this time of year! Sad about the tulips, of course as gardeners we know some things won't turn out but, its still always a little disheartening. I have never grown hellebores before but, after seeing your video showing the little honey bees on them, I feel I must have a few for my pollinator garden. 😊

This video certainly put me in the mood for spring gardening! It’s a little early here for those plants but I may just copy your idea in a few weeks! Also, thanks for the tip about hellebores liking some sun. I have mine in total shade and they survive but I wouldn’t say they thrive. I may try some in another location. And one last thing…I have wondered why they are so expensive! Thanks for sharing Bobbi! Loved the video. ❤

Thanks for watching Andrea! I am leaving the container in the greenhouse at night for now. I just had to “plant” something up! It’s funny about Hellebores. I know of some gardens where they are in total shade and do well! But mine do seem to like a little sun!

Hi there! I bought these pansies at Ken’s Gardens. Both of their locations stay open all year long.
