At the beginning of every summer I hear RU-vidrs say the same thing, the community is dying or dropping off. I just think people are busy with family and summer. Kids are home and free time is no longer. During the summer I feel you should adapt your channel to make it easier for you. We are still out here and watching when we can. When fall comes and school is back in session, you analytics will pick back up.

I love the palette reviews. They are def my fave. Love shop my Stash and chit chat grwm videos. Not a fan of just one product reviews like foundation reviews, blush reviews, lip swatch reviews. Put those in GRWMs. I do agree, people are busy for summer. I watch while I work but not everyone can do that.

I love all your videos, Steff. I think chatty GRWM videos are my favorite, followed by eye shadow looks. As far as suggestions, I think more slice-of-life videos would be appreciated, like what’s in your work bag or your nighttime routine. You could even do a series on things you're loving right now, and it could be more than just makeup. Whatever you decide, I'm part of the family forever. ❤️❤️❤️

My favorite videos of yours are the eyeshadow tutorials. Not necessarily a review but I find it incredibly relaxing to watch you create eye looks. But I'm all about shopping our stashes. The consumerism of only new new new channels turns me way off.

I love watching you create eye looks, but if you need to pivot and do more Shop My Stash/GRWM videos featuring new palettes along with other new products instead of dedicated palette videos, then that's what you should do! I'll watch whatever you decide to do. You will never lose me to TikTok! I also love your foundation wear test videos, especially when you do drugstore foundations! They are so very helpful! I still love makeup; I actually just did a pretty large declutter of products (some expired, some that I just don't love) and am renewed in my love to get to play with products that maybe I haven't used in a while! Ideas for you: Your favorite travel products, seasonal favorites (staple products you reach for every summer/spring/fall/winter), favorite touch-up products to keep in your bag/car/desk, revisiting your old favorites videos, maybe videos talking about upcoming or new launches and what we might already have to use instead...

I prefer fewer eyeshadows, it's enough to hear a short review about most of the palettes and if you see a look with it, it will be excellent. I like the channel because there is an extensive review of foundation and auxiliary products for durability.

It really is a blush party in the market lately. And glosses- that fenty shade is beautiful! Why is blush so addictive? Per eyeshadows, I love seeing new beautiful palettes, but honestly, I have so many that I’ll probably never even get to try some of them. I love seeing videos where you pull out older products to use and encourage us to use what we have. I think it’s good for all of us to not buy so much new stuff. I worked for Walgreens and I totally get the over-worked corporate life. I always watch your videos because I like you and your videos are mood-lifting, but I want to know that you have enough time to yourself so I think you should upload at a level that’s comfortable for you.

I love watching your palette reviews. I go to you because you are consistent, frequent and I can always count on you for the reviews. But I understand if its not sustainable or as popular anymore. I would love if you kept a kind of predictable, regular format of a show with eyeshadows. I'm not bored of em! I tend to skip over GRWM because I never know what I'm gonna get :)

My favorite types of videos are declutter videos. I love shop my stash videos. I love GRWM with older products videos. I love everyday Vlogs videos. I love eyeshadow reviews videos. RU-vid is not dead, it just has changed as far as how much we consume, people are really rethinking their purchases at the moment. ❤

I love watching your eye shadow tutorials! I am done buying palettes, because I have sooooo many that sit in drawers!! But I watch everything you put out!! Some creators you’re more drawn to than others and you’re def top tier in my opinion!! Keep doing your thing!! Btw I ordered the Fenty blush lighter and received it last week! I hated it !! It reminds me of Milani Luminoso and the Milani one is way prettier and cheaper lol. The Fenty one is dry and chalky and shows texture like crazy and I do not have a lot of texture on my skin!! The packaging is BEAUTIFUL, but I am returning it!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Eyeshadow palettes are my favorite makeup item, so I always appreciate content creators that do palette reviews and eyeshadow looks! I have noticed you posted back to back eyeshadow palettes, which doesn't bother me! I may not watch them the day the videos are posted but I will get to them in my own time. I still love watching eyeshadow tutorials, I’m just buying them strategically. I have a LOT of eyeshadow palettes and can usually find dupes and comps in my collections for the new stuff. So, I love, and have always loved, when reviewers like you show the dupes and comps in their collections Maybe you could showcase your past looks with these palettes for reference ❤ I’m into the GRWM and SMS vids. I’ve heard other YT creators say that the $ is not in TT but that their content on TT led people to their YT channel. Idk, I think times are hard and I’ve been saying this for quite awhile - makeup and skincare beyond the basics are luxury items. I’m thinking that dupes and comps in this tough economic season might just be an avenue to explore. You are buying and receiving high end and luxury products so dig into your collection and show us where we can save while being honest (as you are :) about the $$ item. Sometimes the luxury is worth it for end results, color matching, etc. This comment is too long, but I just wanted to point out that you are lovely, intelligent and professional and can handle the comparisons with grace and aplomb 🥰

I agree it’s summertime so more people are busier with kids, life and doing family things. But it’s also the fact that quite a few people can’t afford all of the palettes anymore. With prices going up everywhere, it’s just harder to afford them all. You need to work from your life & time to get things done - and NO you haven’t lost us to tiktok. It’s dangerous to put your content, or your time, into a foreign based media. Just my opinion. It’s not dying - we’re all busy but we’re still watching you because you provide valuable content. Shop your stash, palette rankings - even older palettes, application tricks and tips, color theory would all be nice. Thank you, Steff!

I watch all of your videos. I mute from “if this is your first time here” all the way to “keep on watching” because I’ve heard it so many times I just don’t want to hear it again. I get tired of content creators asking to like and subscribe and shop through affiliated codes. I may be wrong, but I think most of us know about all of that. I absolutely love your videos. I am not on tic tok. I find long form content relaxing in the evenings. I click on you as soon as I see a new video. As far as ideas- I love in depth swatches of eyeshadow palettes. Martina Lily does a good job with that. I love GRWM, shop my stash, revisiting older palettes, make-up collection by product, videos featuring new make-up releases and “will I buy it”. Mostly I watch because I like hanging out with you.😊. I just don’t care for the long intro. But it’s not my channel.😅

I just enjoy watching fun eyeshadow looks being created complete with blush/highlight and a lip. And I’ll take whatever form that comes in! Although the best way to guarantee that is usually through a review of a non-neutral palette/collection. There’s been a massive shift so far this year, with fewer videos that I prefer and some of my favorite creators moving towards different kinds of content. It’s sad, but they need to make content that makes them happy first. I just want to see pretty, fun makeup looks. 😊 I have four different playlists I move videos into: 1 is for my preferred content, the fun eyeshadow looks/palettes/collections, videos from my top creators, products featured that I’m interested in, or just videos that I want to watch regardless. 2 is for videos where people are putting on makeup but they might not be my preferred type, neutral eyeshadow or complexion focused. 3 is for videos focused on blush, lips, or swatching. 4 is for videos talking about eyeshadow palettes. I tend to watch all of 1 and 4, 4 being my preferred background RU-vid. I watch some of 2 and 3, but no where near all. I give preference to shorter videos just because they’re easier/quicker to watch. I’d say my favorite length is 15-20, with shorter or 20-30 next. Once they’re over 30, it’s just harder to have time to get through them, but I absolutely do for my preferred content. For example, creators are doing 4 Looks, 4 Palette videos a lot recently instead of four review videos, and those are longer, but I eat them up. Lol. But I honestly understand. People need to make the content they enjoy, and the content that gets the views, as that is how the audience votes. It is what is it, and I’ve only got my one vote/view to give. And to be completely honest with you, this video was a toss up between 1 and 2… I usually always watch these kinds of videos from you, but the neutral look/ND Golden palette put it into 2…. It was the question/feedback part that got me to move it to 1, as I do love an interesting chat/topic as well. Looking back over the month, I’ve watched most of the videos you’ve posted, 14 out of 16. And this is the only one that got sent to playlist 2. 😂 And it was the Golden palette! (and most people LOVE that palette, so I know that’s a me thing)

Hi Steff. I have noticed low views recently on many channels I follow. I think a combination of tight budgets, some people not preferring to wear full looks in summer, and changing trends in makeup are all contributing. I do not use TT platform and would not suggest its use ever. I dont do colorful or full looks so don’t watch I’ll of those but love your channel. I like GRWM and SMS. Your wear tests are amazing.

I love watching your eye looks the most! Maybe since you have so many eyeshadow palettes you could feature 2 or more per video. Instead of doing multiple looks per palette, you could do one look for each and then give suggestions as to what you'd do for two more looks with that palette. Lately I'm more interested in creating looks with what I already have in my stash and I'm always looking for unique suggestions of color combinations, etc.

Since so many pallets have been dropping, the 3 or 4 pallets, one look each in a video is good. I also love GRWM’s and shop your stash videos. A monthly pallet ranking is awesome. I also think a monthly comparison of of other products used. Like all the different blushes that have launched recently. What’s positive and or negative about them, which cream blushes are hair grabbers when the wind blows? 😂. I don’t do tic toc (I’m 65) and rarely ck instagram. It’s been a rough year here darling girl. But know that you are loved and appreciated.

Steph, I’m relatively new to your channel. I’ve been following you for about 8 months now and just from my newbie perspective, I will watch WHATEVER you put out. I love this space(beauty)that I only found about 4-5 years ago, and the more I watched the more I expanded my viewing tastes etc. Of course my advice would be if it no longer serves you, gives you joy, makes you happy to see the next day, it’s time to move on. I don't enjoy TikTok because the makeup influencers often don't disclose partnerships so you never know if they really like it or if they are trying to get you to buy because they get a kickback. I enjoy your palette reviews and looks. I'd enjoy shopping your stash videos. I'd also appreciate it if you could compare new palettes to existing palettes so that if you're on a no/ low buy, you can achieve similar looks with products you might already own.

The eyeshadow tutorials are definitely my fav videos. If you only did 2 looks rather than 3, would that help make a bit less work? Have you thought about adopting the 4 Palettes, 4 Looks videos so that they wouldn’t be 4 separate videos? I know those would take longer to get out but it would at least be over a few days rather than being done filming right away and needing to edit right away

I am still a RU-vid gal. I almost never sign in to Facebook, and sign in to IG once every couple of weeks. Won't be getting TikTok at all. I pretty much watch as much RU-vid beauty as I have since I got started with it in 2018! I'm not bored with any of it at all!

Good morning Steff!! The look turned out beautiful!! I have the original Gold so i decided to skip this one. If she had kept the original teal shades and that lime green gold duochrome shade ( the most interesting shades) i would have definitely picked it up! I agree its a great summer easy palette!! Its beautiful abd the packaging is even more beautiful! Im sorry your channel has slowed in viewings. I still love watching all your eyeshadow palette reviews!! Although i dont really watch anything drugstore ( eyeshadows) like colourpop, profusion, elf, since i prefer luxury and indie brands but i do love a good eyeshadow review and i personally look for your reviews. I also love get ready with me when trying new makeup but im more on the high end luxury side, even thought i dont purchase much now that im disabled and cant work. I still save up for those special luxury items with great reviews! That Armani Bronzer is so stunning! I havent tried the Makeup by Mario bronzer but the new Saie bronzer is currently a fave of mine. The shades look wonky but when applied , its beautiful! And of course i love a good foundation review since i have similar skintype and also live here in S Texas. I see alot of makeup influencers going the fragrance route lately. I dnt know what it is but ive also heard the same from other influencers. Im only on IG and IG really has declined. Im not growing at all. And i mean ive literally only gained like a 150 followers in the last 6 months. Its crazy. I dont know whats going on with the algorithm. And i really dont watch beauty on tik tok. I dont feel you can even get a good review of anythng in under a minute, especiallly makeup. So im with you Steff. I do love rankings, get ready with me. Shop my stash, and love watching some of the high end luxury ( for complexion, not necessarily eyeshadow) channels but i know thats expensive to do. Ive noticed i dont get notified on my fave channels as well. I have to go and search alot of times cuz when i subscribe to all videos, im.not being notified. That could be another issue with you tube. I do hope things get better for you. But dont over work yourself, especially with a demanding full time job. ❤❤❤❤

There are some good products here that I wouldn’t mind trying. I did just order the new Elf foundation and I hope it works well with my dry skin. I also tried the Elf new bronzer drops but they really do nothing for me. It gives my fair skin a faint color change but not much. It may just be user error. Next time I use them I will add a bit more to my skin. Thanks for sharing. ❤️❤️❤️

I watch all your videos but my most favorite are testing new makeup and least favorite GRWM videos. That’s across the board and not just your channel. I personally still love RU-vid and will never go on TikTok. I’m older though so that could have something to do with it. Love your channel as is and I watch everything you post ❤

I won’t ever go to TikTok but I know some people prefer it. Why not just incorporate more content around your job needs? Your wear tests are always first rate. A weekly de-stash rather than a longer, full on declutter would be fun. Maybe share your workplace plans for makeup.

Thanks for asking. Most of us who are watching and will leave a comment here are You Tube lovers and Steff's Beauty Stash super fans. I'm sure there are many in those groups, like me, who are really put off by TikTok and even YT shorts. I strongly dislike short form content. I never get the quantity or quality of info i want, plus the noise, the frenetic activity, the bombardment of "energetic" music, the attention-grabbing mugging and antics are all so obnoxious to my senses! I just want to sit down, watch and listen, HEAR, and observe, or learn. That's why i LOVE your precious channel. I don't want to scroll scroll scroll, navigate frequently, take efforts to avoid an assault of the senses and brain. RU-vid only for me. For your question, I recommend MAKEUP DIARIES videos like Annette's Beauty Corner used to regularly do. They rock! The resulting video shows multiple looks from several days (even just still photos work in a pinch) and you just explain what products and shades you used, maybe hold up the palette to show it. I don't know if it takes more or less editing for you. Hopefully less! Enjoy your summer, including reduced video schedule as needed! It gets dark where i am like 8.45 PM this month, so people are not even sitting down in their home until 9 PM or later, with less time to watch.

Hi Steff, I personally like grwm with using a few new items. You can easily do different looks from same palette a few times in the week one with new blush, complexion etc. I find myself overwhelmed with so many palette releases . On your ranking you can easily show in pict bonus looks you have done . I don't watch tiktok

I have found myself watching less. Few people I watch all videos. I find I avoid a lot of videos when items look like they belong in a junior high school kids desk. I really over so many collabs and "dupe theme". But I always watch your I just feel happy with yours.
