I Need Your Help! Looking For My Grandfather's John Deere 50 Vegetable Tractor from New Jersey

I am searching for my late grandfather's John Deere model 50 tractor that he used to pull a 4-row transplanter and also run a model 45 loader at one point. We believe it was a 1955 or 1956 model. It would have looked similar to the ones pictured in the video, with 16" single front wheel, long rear axles with the B3140R axle housing and 12.4x38 rear tires, factory 800 or 801 series three-point hitch, and likely would have had noticeable wear on the frame and axle housings due to the loader. To my knowledge it was never used for cultivating like a lot of other locally-sold 50's were, so it would not have had the frame and grill-mounted cultivator attaching/guide brackets.
This tractor spent most of its life on the farm in Mullica Hill, NJ and I believe was sold in the early 90's, but I have no record of where or to whom it went. No local dealerships have been able to provide a serial number record and neither have any nearby two-cylinder collectors, nor the retired owner of the dealership my grandfather used to deal with. I am told it could possibly be 5032055 or 5032683. There were a boat load of model 50's sold to vegetable farms in South Jersey back in the day and I've tracked down 10 of them so far - I would like to see what others might still out there. I realize it's a long shot, but it's worth a try.
If anyone knows of any vegetable-type model 50's like these sitting on a farm, in a pasture, in someone's shed, or in a scrap pile somewhere, please let me know! Will buy regardless of its condition, if I can track down the right one. Please feel free to email or message me through Facebook, RU-vid, or comment on this video.

I hope you find your grandpa's 50 someday. I'm kinda on the search for a few of my grandpa's former tractors (and other equipment). We still have 6 in the collection, but he (and his brother, and my great grandfather) had a few slip away. Hoping to find my great grandpa's Allis Chalmers WD, my great uncle's Gleaner A2 and 4 pieces of equipment my grandpa has sold: John Deere G converted to LP, John Deere 70 LP, John Deere 720 LP and his 1974 Gleaner F combine. So far I know where the 720 is (just have to convince the guy to sell it to me), I have a slight idea of where the Allis is (have to follow up on it), and I have a general guess as to where the Gleaner F combine is. As far as the Gleaner A2, I just know it was sold to a guy up in the Ozarks somewhere, and the 70 LP and G I have no leads on (although maybe it wouldn't be too hard to find an LP converted G).

Sounds like they had some great models in the fleet. The G-series of tractors (G-730) seem to be pretty high dollar these days as everyone wants them. I hope you can get the 720 and the Allis back, but definitely keep on top of the others as best you can - you'd be amazed how far they can travel when you let them get away. I got lucky that the 520 hadn't gone far, but I am also trying to track down his Farmall Super AV and I just recently learned it was sold at 3 different auctions and has moved between 3 different states just in the last 14 months alone.

Good luck finding your grandfathers tractor. I lived in south Jersey in the 60s and 70s, our doctor was in Mullica Hill. I’d like to think I drove past his farm at least once and saw him driving the tractor.

Mullica Hill is my hometown, where the tractor was also from. I'm sure you did pass him in the field as he farmed all over the area and over towards Swedesboro as well. Was Harris your doctor?

@@MichaelTJD60 Yes! We went to the senior Harris when his office in a house. Then they built the new office when his son joined the practice. Looks like the building is vacant now as I guess the son is retired. I lived in Pedricktown.

@@172turtla Small world! Dr. Harris was my mom's doctor growing up (and all brothers, cousins, and basically everyone else in the area) for many years. My grandfather always had good things to say about him. In fact, Harrison Township recognized him for his years of service with a small ceremony probably 6 or 7 years ago that we all attended. I've been living out of the area for 2 years now, not sure if he's still alive or not.
