I love 00 in its original form, that being said I’ve always enjoyed your other content as well. Things change and evolve and with the recent Halo lore drought it’s understandable that you’d want/need to shift the focus of content. I’d be more than happy to see a merger and whatever you ultimately decide you’ll have my support 110% I love this community and I think it’s safe to say that the majority of us will stand behind you and support you. You’ve been a constant source of positivity in the Halo community and personally I think the community would love to see you expand more!
I would say its a good idea to at least try it if only to streamline your creative process. Only thing I can recommend is in addition to the different intros, would be to make sure to set up specific playlists for the different franchises. Best of luck 00
As a rancher who spends a lot of time outside, it's difficult to take the time to read all the Cannon and get detailed info into the HALO world, which is a rich and fascinating world. There's not many if any chanels out there that delve deep into HALO lore content. Your site is the "go to" chanel for what makes HALO franchise special. The details of who are Spartans, rank, what teams, locations, fights, armor, etc., the different factions of Aliens, & the specific characters, the timelines of humanity as well as the aliens make playing the games much more meaningful than just shooting and killing things. (Not a fan of the Paramont live action tv show, so taking a pass on that topic.) Thank you for the details behind HALO, and I look forward to more in the future.
I honestly wish this would just remain a Halo lore channel. I mean it's the reason I come back to watch again and again. All the things you've described forgive me, but I'm not really into all that much. And your absolutely correct I have channels that I am subscribed to that diversify their content and they've mostly fall to the waist side and I don't get recommended them at all and I have to kinda remember on my own where they went. It'll be some months later and I'll be like "What ever happened to that one channel?" kind of situation. I honestly really like the way you have it now and don't want to accidentally forget this channel exists. I primarily get all my Halo lore content from either you or HiddenXperia. And HiddenXperia has tried uploading SCP content but it doesn't get the same number of views as his Halo content. But it's ultimately up to you, this is just how I feel. I'll still try to be here for when you do upload more lore video's. I would love to see some lore video's on Sanghelios sometime in the future : ) It's what redeems Halo 5 for me lol just being on the planet was enough for me xD It's my Favorite, second to Earth Ofcoarse.
I kinda would like to see you expand to more science fiction settings like you do in lorecore. So lore core being merged to this channel I wouldn't mind at all.
Yeah, you could frame it like it’s installation 00 peering though the vale of vacuum is energy to parallel universes. Would love to see you cover some concepts of xeelee verse or manifold or dune
I do like the convenience (as a viewer) of knowing which channel to go to when I am looking for certain kinds of content. Your videos are very clearly organised between channels and that is great for me. That said, I am not against you uploading your videos from the other channel to Installation00 at all. Do whatever makes the most sense for your workflow and the continued success of your channel(s), I will be here enjoying your work regardless of which channel I need to find it in. As others have said, it is appreciated that you are asking your viewers for their thoughts on this. Thank you.
I think a merger would be good for both channels, given how this is your largest channel, and would give more exposure to 00 muliverse, aswell as drawing in more fans of different things as your largest channel gets recommended far more then your other ones
So here are my thoughts. What I would do is use the Golden Goose, Installation 00, to funnel potential viewers to your other channels. Example, say you have a most detailed breakdown of the Iron Man suit or something. I’d leave the full breakdown on the appropriate channel, but you could put a heavily edited abbreviated version on Installation 00. There by catching the most fish with the widest net while keeping the channels generally separate. Similar to the way people use RU-vid Shorts/TikTok. Here’s a little taste, if you want the real meat & potatoes they’re over here. Just my thoughts, good luck.
I’ll be honest: Im at a point in my life where I just don’t have the time or want to get into a whole new universe that I’d have to start researching. I grew up playing Halo, it was my passion throughout my teen years. As an adult I don’t get much time to play the games anymore, but I still understand and love it enough to throw up your Most Detailed Breakdown videos on the computer when I’m not having a very busy day at work. Halo is familiar to me, so I find listening to videos related to it very soothing. In truth, no, beyond one or two videos at first (in an attempt to support your channel), I probably wouldn’t interact with most content that doesn’t have something to do with Halo. With that said, Star Wars was also a big part of my (and I’m sure a lot of other Halo fans’) childhood. I periodically think to myself while watching your MDB vids that a SW version of that would be nice. Yeah, there are other channels that do it (tons even), but none ever seem to be as detailed as your videos are with Halo. Based on other comments, I know my opinion isn’t a popular one, but just thought I’d throw mine in. At the end of the day, you have to do what you feel is best for you.
Algorithmically, channels with a dominant personality and then a secondary host who only shows up occasionally are deprioritized. In the same way, channels that primarily cover one topic and then occasionally something else will not see success with secondary topics. The key to running a variety channel is keeping a healthy balance of topics or personalities to ensure one doesn't drown out the others in terms of engagement, which requires constant vigilance to remain stable. Even if you do that well, converting a channel that previously covered one topic or was hosted by one personality into a successful variety channel is an uphill battle. There are many ways this decision could go poorly, and very few ways it could go well
The really bad thing about RU-vid nowadays is that it’s very specific with who and what kind of content it priorities. I feel it has lost the plot because of that, we no longer see passionate videos do well. We see grifters, negative and hate filled drama/reactionary videos do better because the algorithm prioritizes that stuff. I know Installation is not that kind of guy and I don’t believe he’ll ever go down that path.
I completely agree with this. I've not seen it do well in other channels to diversify, as the algorithm seems to deprioritise them. Starting diverse is great, but shifting doesn't work. One channel, that ironically started out as a Halo channel, that did succeed shifting directions was Invicta. They used to be The Halo Forge Epidemic, but transitioned their channel into covering history content and are considered a high-quality channel that post well-researched historical documentaries about a range of different areas and times in history. I think this could be a good case study to follow for a Halo creator diversifying. Alternatively, Kings & Generals are another history channel that have done lots of historical series, but in order to diversify, began covering fantasy and sci-fi works on a second channel called Wizards & Warriors. They've seen success with this second channel because they maintained the historical content on the main and only posted the non-historical on the alt. Another case study for diversifying successfully, but not within the same channel.
I have one word "Shadiversity." That channel previously covered one topic with one host and then, when it converted 2 years, it has been an uphill battle ever since. The channel is actually under threat right now. Shadiversity did not keep a healthy balance of the old and new. It went about 80%-85% new topic and new hosts, and only 15%-20% of his old stuff. Due to the issues with the Shadiversity channel, I have reservations with Installation00 doing a merger. Maybe if he still keeps his channel 50% Halo, at least, then the merger would go well?
Honestly go for the merger, this is your most subbed channel so your videos will likely get shown to more people, and it will help ease your workload a bit. Plus the mdbs tend to be a nice watch or listen while I’m doing something else.
I'm all for you merging your channels together, I was only aware of your multiverse channel and had no idea there were two others out there. Having all content under one roof would make things easier to find, even if they're not halo related.
I love Halo, but the reason I love your content is the quality, pacing, and attention to detail of your storytelling. You also have an amazing penchant for the technical and scientific aspects of a worlds lore. I would watch you explain the lore of toilet paper, and would be thrilled if you ventured into other worlds.
I think the only concern I have for the idea of a merger would be how the Algorithm would affect your hard work after the fact. If you, as a content creator, feel like a merger makes sense and aligns with your ability to perform on the platform, then great. However, if you feel the Algorithm could shaft you, then it may be good to reconsider these thoughts and look at new avenues. Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions at the moment, but if any pop up; I'll share them here. Best of luck mate!
I appreciate you asking your viewers for feedback! Your channel exists because of us, and we’re here because we love your content! I would love to see a merge of your content. I actually didn’t know you had that other channel, because it’s never been pushed to me by RU-vid.
To be honest, I added your channel because you make the best halo lore videos on RU-vid, but having said that, I am also quite interested in dune lore videos, for example, so you have my blessing, keep up the good work
So the thing is (and understand I’ve been watching your content since I was in high school back in like 2017/2018 so this is coming from a loyal fan) People have subscribed here for halo stuff and if you start posting non halo stuff; there is a good chance that those non halo videos will not perform well at all. It will be algorithm looking at the analytics and going “oh people aren’t watching this as much as the other ones” and it won’t get promoted. I would highly recommend asking around for someone who knows the RU-vid space well for these kinds of lore videos How did their channel fair when they introduced different lore / non lore stuff If there was an average drop in views, did it recover / how long did it take Whatever you choose, you will still have a loyal fan base who are here for you. Not just specifically for halo I wish you the best
Huge fan of yours and your work. I say, “GO FOR IT.” I’d love to see what you could do with lore from other sci-fi franchises. Will support you whatever you choose
A lot of the time people end up not just falling in love with the content, but the person making it. If luetin made a star wars or halo lore video, hell yeah I'd watch it
Honestly man, I love you so much that I wish you weren't part of the halo franchise. There is so much animosity since Halo isn't doing well, so if diversifying will help you out, go for it.
As someone who grew up on Halo and loves your detailed Halo content, I think it’d be more than fine to broaden this channel’s horizons. I’m sure your overall audience has more than just a singular interest in Halo. The universes you mentioned sound like very solid candidates and I feel that taking a poll of most desired universes you’d be open to covering with your style of content would be a good idea.
Go for it! You produce quality content, regardless of which franchise it's based in. Getting a combination of content for different franchises on this channel will give your subs more content to enjoy. I could absolutely see the fountain of Halo lore running dry pretty soon here. I believe it will also make things easier for you logistically to manage only one channel. And although it may not be super important to you, I'd be willing to bet that your subscriber count would skyrocket. Also, keep in mind the fact that if you merge and then in a couple years 343 releases a lore-heavy halo game, you could always unmerge and go back to solely putting out Halo content on this channel. Either way, you've got 237k (and counting) loyal subscribers who will go through the journey with you!
Love all of the content man. I understand that’s it’s a hard position that you’re in right now. I can say, at least for myself, that I came for the Halo Lore/Breakdowns, but it was YOU that kept me here. So, if you want to explore that stuff, I’m happy to be here as a customer and supporter. All the best brother!
I would like to see other universes receive not only the Most Detailed Breakdown treatment, but also the Lore and Theories treatment as well. I think merging the two would be a good idea because I feel like a lot of us Halo fans are also interested in other major sci fi series as well
I’m content to see the subjects merge. Playlists will make it simple enough to keep things separated when I’m just looking for one topic, and Halo people have got to do what we’ve got to do to hang in there these days, so I say go for it!
The merger would be awesome, giving people other universe to immeasure themselves in. Even do theory, alternate, and maybe even what could be possible if you combine certain elements together and the possible outcome.
Ultimately it is up to you to decide what is best for your channels, regardless of what you choose, we will be here to support you. If you do choose to merge then definitely make a dedicated playlist of the multiverse content to keep everything its own entity, going forward for the lack of mainstream lore try delving into deep lore as alot of mainstream halo fans especially younger viewers will have little to no knowledge of the deeper lore within the universe Btw I showed my father your project mjoilnir series and he said it is the most incredible thing he has seen and can't wait to see what is next Much love
Whatever you decide, I'll still be here. I would probably say it would help me see your other content, I only currently subscribe to your Halo channel, and I'd likely check out your content for other shows that I wouldn't if you don't decide to merge channels. Good luck.
I know I'm a little late to the video, but I definitely would be excited to hear you deliver and create content from other franchises. I've already watched your Doom and Mass Effect videos, and they're great. You have an amazing voice, and the way you speak is very captivating. Keep it up!
Merge it up. I personally would love to see you dive into other SCI-Fi universes, especially books. Anything from Hyperion to Revelation Space. Obviously, there's dedicated youtubers, but I always find it a treat to hear perspectives on those universes from sci-fi game fans, or Halo fans in particular.
First off, I think it's awesome that you want our thoughts on your channel decisions. Makes it feel like we have a say in the process, even though I purely enjoy consuming the content. As someone that knows the algorithm better than most of us i still think you should do what is best for you. I haven't seen any content from the other channels but if its of similar quality and style to the main channel i can see it having a chance to succeed. Maybs testing it out in a video can yield some results. We miss 100 percent of the shots we dont take. I personally look through the channel for videos of interest so i myself wont be hurt by recommendations from the algorithm, but curation of the channel is ultimately up to you based on the community and how it will respond. I may be rambling but just keep up the good work.
o dude u should absolutely merge content. the people who are here for your halo content and breakdowns will (mostly, sure) still be here. the algorithm thing, as usual, blows. all the more reason to ring the bell. and people who are interested in other things are that much more likely to find it. not to mention all the ppl who’ll discover your halo content and the universe as a result. go for it!
yes, please go for the Merger! it will show that your Brand is more important than any particular lore, as your can be applied on any lore, like Warhammer, Gears of War etc etc. and i would like to personally request an analysis of the Dune :P Reply
I am all for it, more content, more eyes on the content and same content from both channels in one place. It's a win win, I say go for it. Also Achilles is very cute.
I say, if you feel merging channels is what your heart wants, do it, after all most (if not all) of us are here simply to watch any videos you make, regardless of the topic, we , in the end, are here for you, not just for a franchise.
Absolutely love your content, and would be thrilled to see more detailed breakdowns regardless of universe. What ever you end up doing I will be a watcher and subscriber.
I think the merger is a good idea. There's a good chance that people who come to your channel for Halo lore are, at the very least, somewhat interested in the lore of the other franchises you mentioned, namely Mass Effect and Doom. I'm not a content creator so take this with a grain of salt but I don't think the algorithm getting wonky would be any more detrimental to this channel than running out of Halo lore to cover(while we all wait for the next major Halo installment that is) would be. Whichever route you choose to take I'll be behind you 100%, because as far as I'm concerned, your style of most detailed breakdowns is second to none. Cheers.
I'm all for this merger of channels. HiddenXperia has been doing this same concept for years and he just broke 600k subscribers. I would love to see this. Anyone watching your content is most likely a full fledged gamer. I don't see a downside.
I'd be happy with more most detailed on other series as well i understand the content lack must be hard so I'm in support of whichever you decide though
Totally for you merging Installation00 and 00 Multiverse. I think it would help you to drive content to this channel which will help with any revenue and it would make a one stop shop for your content. Although i do see your worry for the RU-vid algo going wrong.
Merge away. So long as the titles are clear I don’t see a problem with merging. Most people that find the breakdowns interesting may very well find themselves getting into another series because of it.
I just discovered the multiberse channel so, please, do not delete it! As long as I can check it out (specially the ME mand Ironman lore), i'd be cool with the merger xD
I definitely like the idea of merging the channels. I just watched your SSV Normandy video on this channel before watching this video. I didn’t know you hade other channels so merging would definitely bring you more exposure.
I didnt even know you had another channel. Im mostly interested in halo and fallout lore and have greatly enjoyed this channel being strictly halo. That being said, its not a dealbreaker if you do merge. The quality of your content is insane. I'd probably watch new videos on this channel even if they werent halo lore. Your halo videos are mostly what i watch on youtube these days and ive almost watched all of them!
Tbh all I want is to see the ending to the "what halo infinite's campaign could've been" series, beyond that I don't care, I see Installation 00 video I watch video
Knowing the way the algorithm works, the chance of missing a video because one or two were not watched would not be a good thing. However, if it would overall bring more eyes to your channel and also maybe spark interest in other franchises I think that balances out the concerns of the algorithm.
I've been a long time watcher of your channel but not really "involved" with your community so take what I say with a grain of salt but, I think you should feel comfortable expanding as you see fit. While the Halo content is what brought me to you and has kept me, it's your delivery, your dedication to detail, and the clear passion you put into all your work that has kept me coming back these past few years. I've no doubt whatever you put out will be something worth watching. I can understand the desire to keep things to their own channel to avoid flooding people with stuff they may not be interested in but, you also need to play the RU-vid game a little and as you said, Halo's content is a freaking yoyo at times, if you need to branch out a little but keep it all on the same channel to assist with things like consistency and growth, go for it.
If you need to do the merger, i say go for it. I would just recommend making playlist or sections to emphasize/seperate your content. Interested in watching your Dune and Mass Effect content when you bring those into fruition!
TBH I find all your content relaxing and entertaining to listen to, you have the Morgan Freeman voice that is smooth and enjoyable to the ears. Lately I've been listening to a ton of "what if" on starwars, maybe you cold do some "what if" Halo content, definitely endless content choices to choose from
I'd say yes to the merger, I actually associate Installation 00 more to your super detailed videos more than halo... I feel some people who think the same way would love the merger! It would allow for more people who like things outside if Halo to find your channel and maybe boost your standings with the algorithm... I know I didn't know about the 00 Multiverse until now, definitely gonna go check that out! Maybe fans of I00 would appreciate the merger bringing other game's lore to light. Also, if you're reading this, sorry for the word wall in Sector 3, it's like a nerd party in there. Adding a dedicated brainstorming tab would be greatly appreciated... (If you want proof I'm actually in there just match my username here and in discord)
