Excellent match, Cayden! You really are becoming the dominant wrestler you sought out to be. And to think you have two more years of eligibility is awesome. It's also awesome that you're ranked in the top 20. Onwards and upwards, brother!
I love the title of this video and I haven’t even watched it yet. “I never stopped attacking” is a great way to go about life because eventually if you never stop, you’re going to get that sweet takedown/victory
Nice dude. I had a tournament yesterday and broke my arm on my first match. Watching you helps me feel better about not being on the mat for the rest of our season. Keep up the work
At 12:00 love the fireman / dump takedown. Level changes are looking good. At 14:30 you had an opportunity for the bow and arrow. Circle a little more to create more angles, but other than that, you are on your way!
keep it flowing bro. I think you should work on front head offense too. Work in some front head, knee tap, and beat the corner. keep those feet moving in the ties, feet should never stop moving. keep lacing the ol rassling boots up, and do you thing
Good timing on your shots Cayden. I notice heavy hands as well. If your opponent would talk, I think he'd say, "he is strong!" Also, it was apparent your opponent was not as conditioned. Got a little cocky trying to squeeze in that cradle in. Must have been feeling, "I got this".
Love how you upload the full match bro keep it up. Also I can tell your confidence is through the roof and it’s gotta be due to the work you put in to believe in yourself. Lets go champ
I love that throw by from the tie up! U hit that so damn smooth!! Filthy! Wish u all the best this year kid! Congrats on getting ranked! Hard work is paying off! Good for u!
Thank you for being an inspiration just today I had 12 hours to cut from 133 to 122 and made it went 1-2 bc I find have my reaction time and body responding as fast but I was able to do it bc our 120 quit
bro it’s so great to see you breaking through and making strides. it’s so cool how we can see the confidence and you making big improvements on the mat.
Congrats on being in the top 10. You have an amazing shrug by. Have you ever thought about setting it up by snapping your opponent down to a knee first? It makes it more difficult for them to run through it when you hit it.
Great match you definitely were all over him but what happened to top control, wrist lock and tilts? You finally pulled one out at the end of the match when your coach advised “we need one.” If you ever get dominant on top you’re going to be tough to beat. Great work sir! I can’t wait until the next one.
On your way to an NCAA Championship, Cayden! My analytical brain as a former wrestler and coach churns 24 / 7. I hope I don't offend you. :) Keep up the great work!
earlier this season we wrestled Augustana and were tied 13-13 but then lost the last two matches with a pin and a major so it was 23-13 but the dual was closer than the score line. we need some more solid upper weights. were also a brand new d2 program.
Hey cayden congrats on the win. Had my first tournament today but it didn’t go too well. I got slammed and knocked out, and tore some muscle and tissue in my collar bone. I should hopefully recover though so 👍 keep up the good work
it happens my dude. I "remember" when I got knocked unconscious at AAU nationals in STL. Was down 3-1 in the 2nd and working on an escape. Next thing I'm sitting on a bench with my mom eating a peanut butter sandwich 2 feet away from Rick Flair (who's young son was in tourney). Jesus, I didn't realize his son passed away a decade ago. The whole tournament we were yelling "go nature child!" when he was on the mat. Hope you recover soon!
@@KleinAB thanks for the encouragement. Was at the doctors today and I can’t wrestle for four weeks, which is the rest of the season. I’m not gonna quit, just gonna work extremely hard this off-season and have a good sophomore season. 👍
Yoo Cayden Henschel, I think to be able to like wrestle freely you have to not make yourself feel like dookie during the match so even if you miss a takedown don't punish yourself during the match
Cayden est un brave et gentil garçon et bon lutteur. Il connait très bien les techniques il est intelligent . Un bon physique pour la lutte. Je le suis depuis la France. Bravo my bro. You can translate it s more easy for me to write in french. I like this wrestler.
When the announcer called him Jalen spooler I was reminded of my coach becuz his name is Giboo (ji-boo) pronounced with a j but everytime they announce the coaches of each team they call him Giboe or Gibow (Gib-oh) and my team and I always laugh when they say it.
I always liked to wear double surgical gloves one under my sleeves and one over but Ill definitely have to try just taping the sleeves so that I can have hands that arent wrinkly lmaoooo
One thing I wished I would have done more often as a wrestler is eat things with actual nutritional value when I was citing weight, and not just a small amount of what I wanted. Also If you eat healthier u can eat a little bit more and it’s better fuel for your body!
D1 is at an insane level. Don't think Cayden could do these videos and compete in that league. Don't mean to take away from Cayden. He's been impressive this year. He's gone a lot farther than I have. It's just that these d1 wrestlers are freakishly intense.
Idk how u get away with eating those breakfast sandwiches lol. I wrestled 171 in HS and stayed pretty lean during the season. Never had more then a few pounds to shed before weigh-ins , but I couldn't eat stuff like that ever lol. Ur lucky to have a fast metabolism my dude.
Now do everything you feel comfortable with from the opposite side of your opponent. Instead of tying your opponent up on his right side, do it on the left side, and you will be completely dominant!
