You’d be surprised how many of us ladies actually deal with excessive facial hair. I myself deal with it so I can understand the self consciousness but I want to say you’re absolutely gorgeous…inside and out ❤

The most important tip for electrolysis for everyone that decides to do this (I've done it myself on my bikini line, and then here and there), MAKE SURE they use a fresh needle for you, and you alone. Don't accept 'we clean everything very well here. Don't worry about it.' I've always insisted on this and have read really terrible things on needles that haven't been properly cleaned. The cost of the needles are close to nothing for the salon. They have to be specially recycled anyway. Just make sure you get a fresh needle with every appointment - and hopefully your salon does this anyway. Stay safe!
Regarding facial hair..your skin is so smooth it's not at all noticeable. I started shaving my whole face with a normal razor about 15 years ago because I had so much peach fuzz on the sides of my face and black hair on my upper lip. I watched a lot of tutorials on female face shaving and it's the best decision I made. I just cleanse my face in the evening, apply some liquid honey to my skin and shave my whole face..I do this once a week. My skin is so smooth as it gently exfoliates the skin. No one has ever noticed that I shave my face. And no, there is no stubble, it does not grow back thicker. A lot of women seem to do this and it's so simple and gentle, just once a week and your face is smooth.
Actually sleeping with a pillow between ur knees is highly recommended for correct hip alignment. I suffer from lower back pain and this helped me a lot!

Amelia I’m 46 and had laser way back when it first became available when I was 22 and it really worked (I’m very fair with dark hair mild PCOS Pakistani genes). However after having my child in my thirties hormones meant some growth came back, I had some electrolysis on chin area but got bored n it was expensive. As a peri menopausal woman I’ve found there are hairs in places I would rather be hair-free but it’s ok. The legs area worked super well but I think hormones are a bitch so nothing is really permanent. Truth is as you get older you don’t stress as much about this stuff (having an awesome hubby helps!) and some grooming is ok but generally unless you have a severe medical condition, some facial is incredibly normal and anyone making fun of you needs to just grow up!

I also have the same issue with facial hair.. been struggling with it for over ten years and I NEVER met anyone with the same issue. I’ve had blood tests done and have been to an infinite number of dermatologists but no one seems to have an answer for me. I am currently doing laser but as you said it only prolongs the growth period but doesn’t actually reduce the hair growth. Hey Amelia, I tried messaging you on IG and TikTok as well, I couldn’t share a comparison photo but I think the Charlotte tilbury JK magic lipstick is very similar to the Lancome 510! I actually prefer it as it comes out a bit more satin and pink, but I think it’s still similar! I would definitely recommend.
Same with the facia hair! It got worse after having kids. Hormonal imbalance- and if you’re prone to facial hair stress is not your friend. Definitely try the electrolysis, but implement some more R&R and try not to sweat the small stuff. If you’re happy and stress free, it will slow the growth. ❤

Amelia, I don't usually comment, but I wanted to say thank you sm for sharing your facial hair issue. I have excessive facial hair too and it's something I am super self-conscious of. It didn't use to be all that bad, but it became really black and coarse in recent years and I have to wax almost every 2 weeks because it's so visible. I have been considering laser hair removal, but knew it might not work 100%, so it's good to know it could actually make it worse! The horror!! I would love to know how you get on with electrolysis. It's so reassuring to hear other women have a similar issue and it's not just me, so thanks for starting this conversation xx

Oh my god! I am light skinned with dark hair and blue eyes and I have so much hair! In particular on my face, I have learnt to kind of love it. It gives a bit of a soft focus effect in pictures 😂 I do occasionally have a derma planning on my face. But don’t feel bad about it! I’ve side burns too, I never wore my hair up at highschool cos I used to get called Sids! Xxx😊

I, myself, love a good paper book, but in more recent years have absolutely loved my Kindle. I also have the app on my iPhone so I can catch up on whatever im reading from whichever device I’m on! Also, I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this before, but I love seeing another woman who loves her tweeds and more classic cuts that aren’t necessarily as popular in mainstream fashion. I love classic, structured pieces and maybe it’s because I’ve lived in the dog show world for so long, but classic Chanel and St. John knit suits and blazers just give me life!!
Also, as far as eye creams, I rotate between the Caudelie, Sheseido, and more recently have gone crazy for the Ole Henriksen Vitamin C eye cream and the Elemis Peptide4 Eye Recovery Cream! So basically what I’m needing for the day is what determines which eye cream I use!
And hopefully one last bit 😂, it’s just because if I don’t reply to certain things as you go, I’ll forget and won’t have anything to say later about things earlier in the video!! Facial hair is something many of us deal with and are embarrassed about. I think we need to bring more awareness to it though, so all women and men understand it’s a natural occurrence in the population!! You’re stunning regardless and adore you for shedding light on the subject!! Oh and one last bit….i ADORE star fruit and it was so delicious and actually sweet when I’d get it at home in Taiwan!

I started using facial razors from a Korean beauty supply store years ago and never looked back! I know professionals will warn against at-home "derma planing" type things but I've never had any issues. Facial and body hair on women is so common-place and should not be something to be self-conscious about. I am not really bothered by it anymore, but I just find make-up looks so much better on smooth skin.
I did electrolysis around my nipple, chin, upper lip, and it is definitely the best choice when it comes to facial hair. It is important to be very careful with the aftercare, do not do it during summer; i did it twice in London and I ended up with bad scarring due to bad techniques. Luckily i did a co2 laser that hair that helped me.
I have found the lipstick on ebay, coming from Italy! About £34 + delivery. Yes, you do have to be careful buying but I have always been lucky. Have a great week! x

Amelia, have you ever try q-switch laser? First the laser bleaches your facial hair, after one week your hairs starting to fall out. I have been treated for 2 years every month and 70 percent of my facial hair never grown back… And it doesn’t stimulated hair roots…

My face is very hairy too, especially on my chin. I started with electrolysis and switched to laser, and I had the same problem. It made the hair worse. So I went back to electrolysis, but just couldn't take the pain. I just started laser again, this time a new company and a different laser. And the results have been exceptional. I just had my 5 treatment of 8 last week, and for the first time in my life, I don't have any hair on my face. P.S. Aelia, I never noticed hair on your face, unless you mean "sideburns", and if that's what you mean, I actually think the hair coming down the sides of your face is absolutely beautiful. P.P.S. I’m also very hairy, also my Middle Eastern roots. I don’t mind it now, but growing up it wasn’t easy for me. Now I know it comes with my genes (my son is also very hairy, so is my husband) and I keep it in check with the occasional bath in hair removal cream. 😉
I LOVE my kindle. So much I have the app on my phone, should I ever forget or leave behind my kindle it syncs where you left off reading on your device. Soooo helpful. And you can also listen to some books which I thought I’d never ever like turns out it’s useful for when you want to reread books I choose to listen to them instead.
Loved your vlog as always. You should try Ole Henriksen Banana Bright eye cream if you haven't yet. It's amazing and for me it helps a lot with VERY dark under-eyes.
Omg A, I use a chemical exfoliant to remove all the hair on my face once a week. After my husband moved in for a kiss and made a comment. Not a bad one, just an observation. I love doing it now bc my makeup goes on much better. You are not alone!!!! ❤❤❤❤

As someone with hormonal issues, I feel u about the facial hair! I just microblade it. It’s so annoying but it has gotten better as I’ve aged. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because my hormones have balanced themselves out. I’m 40 by the way❤
Regarding the excessive hair you think you have, has any doctor or ob-gyn diagnosed you with P.C.O.S. (Polycistic Ovary Syndrome). It causes male pattern hair growth as well as a whole host of other things. Look into it so you can rule it out, at least. I have it & its a pain! It could answer some of the other questions/concerns you've been having. Good luck!!
Girl, brown people are prone to having hair eeeeverywhere and it's more noticeable because our hair is darker, & especially you being of middle eastern descent. There's nothing wrong with you, it's completely normal. Do what makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin, but always keep in mind that it's not a flaw, it's just something that is (that you might not like but that's okay)

When you spoke of laser you might have been in the hair growth phase each time you were at your appointment. Laser isn’t going to make you more hairy. I did do 10 sessions on upper lip , lower lip and cheek. Menopause can cause facial hair to return which is cruel. My mom did electrolysis in the 1960’s and was happy but painful. She has light olive skin and I have Irish white skin but hairy like the Italian side of the family and my ITALIAN relatives aren’t hairy. I was cursed. Probably because I wanted a monkey as a child but I didn’t want to be the monkey. I was a competitive swimmer so being hairy like a monkey was not good. Ugh! Good luck on your hair removal journey.
Dear Amelia, I've done laser treatment on my body and needle therapy (electeolysis) for face, and I'm more than satisfied, and its already several years that I don't have hair anymore, so thats not problem nowadays ❤
Facial hair: nothing special. I have the Braun Silképil. Só good! Yes, it hurts, but it's stays away quite long! You can do it yourself, use tonic afterwards (Decleor has a special soothing cream), 1 day maybe a reaction, than you're fine!

I'm a black women who has had laser and will tell you it's the type of laser each center uses. I have done laser for twenty years and it's only recently with the new lasers that my face, bikini and leg hairs are all gone. What no one tells you when you do laser it can activate dormant hairs but if you stick to it the hairs will go away!
@@dianakita7317 I am not sure but I'm pretty sure it's ND:YAG lasers as they are the best for brown and dark skin tones. You can call and ask if they have these types of laser.
M family is from Sicilian background. Electrologist is a necessary treatment. My aunt was an electrologist & did very well in a very Italian neighborhood. We feel your pain.😂😂😂😂
