Not to be rude but you were using the chocolate straws wrong. You use them for milk. When you don't have choc syrup to make chocolate milk you use those as a straw and it will turn your milk chocolate. I use them all the time

the ones I had as a kid were straight and didn't have that "wasp waist." but I would have thought the plastic was too tough for it to snap in the middle no matter how much you twist it. or do you have to use scissors or a knife?

@@oxoelfoxo as I recall from childhood you bend/snap it in the middle to break the ice in two, and twist to break the plastic in two too. Scissors were occasionally required.
