@@AbuDhabiDude I ended up with a Hyundai Ioniq 5 (P45). Sold my Ipace mostly because of bad service at my closest service station. To get good (expected) service, I had to drive more than 12 hours one way. That was just too much for me, so I had to give it up 🤷♂️.
@@AbuDhabiDude its not as beautiful as the Ipace, control and driving feel was slightly better with Ipace, but on most other aspects its on pair or better than the IPace. Now I got my closest service center 5 mins away 😍
If this one is stable then I’m more than happy for this to be the last incontrol update to be honest. Barring the CarPlay issue its been solid for me for the last year or so. CarPlay/AA gives continual new features and a much fast SoC (as in System on Chip, not State of Charge). Would have liked HUD/Binnacle integration for CarPlay if there was one feature I could have added but its not a deal breaker, especially with voice working again (and if you have an Apple Watch its even harder to miss a turn….)
That’s exactly my feeling. Would have loved them to enable sideloading for the dashboard display and/or HUD. That’s the only thing I would say is “missing”. But I’m very happy with how stable everything is. The voice nav was the only real issue. Pivi Pro has been having quite a few problems so I’m happy to see a reliable stable system, and apart from the HUD thing, there’s nothing I’d really want them to add now (well maybe native streaming support for charging stops). Startup is nice and quick now. Pity we don’t get the timed charging and max SOC improvements that Pivi has had, but I have a home system that does that now. Long response, but yes, completely agree with your position.

If you’re android then you probably won’t see any differences to be honest. Everything else was pretty minor. I haven’t been planning to change my car. I’ve just been doing some coverage of other cars for people who might be considering it. I know that many viewers are coming up to 3 years now and so will be looking to change. I bought my car outright so I’m not on a timetable at all. I still love it and am in no hurry to change it. To be honest, so far there’s nothing I would really change it for. I think you maybe misunderstood what I was saying when I started making those videos about “would this make a good next car”. I’m still very happy with mine and am about to pay Jaguar a small fortune to keep all my services going!
@@AbuDhabiDude you are correct - I misunderstood. Worried me a bit as you are a great asset for this community and I was being a bit selfish. Do you think JLR will ever upgrade the battery ranges or ...... I would consider a new i-pace if it hit a solid 300+ our charge network in the states is just so lacking. Owners also are not able to keep functioning or in good repair when we do find a charger. From what I can tell it appears the British Isles are much better at - density helps where we are so scattered. My state has zero DCchargers - does have tesla superchargers in several locations. Thank you! Very kind words. Yes I’ve heard from a few viewers that DC in America isn’t great once your out of the high density population areas. I always assumed you could travel freely around the States with a 200-250 mile range but I’ve been very much corrected on that recently. That’s unfortunate. There are big things coming for the I-Pace in the future. The next version is planned to be a significant improvement. I can’t share details just yet (and I only know a few things), but expect a big range improvement and a big charging speed improvement. However, that’s a couple of years away.
