Green glass is depression era uranium glass and the yellow is Vaseline glass. It should glow under black light. It is very collectable

Steve Prefontaine was a runner at University of Oregon. He ran internationally and was famous around the world, expected to win gold in the 1976 Olympics. He crashed his car in the South Eugene Hills in 1975, and was mourned by running fans. Here in Eugene, we have Pre’s Trail, a 4.3 mile running / walking loop in his honor. There is also Pre’s Rock, where he crashed, which has hundreds of visitors during the many US and World track events held here in Track City, Eugene, Oregon. This was during Nike’s infancy. When Coach Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight were looking for an athlete to use their shoes, Prefontaine was their first signed athlete. The Prefontaine Classic is a track event in his honor. (Just a *little* bit of info from a proud Eugenian!)

That is the She-RaCastle. We gave that one and the He Man castle both the same year as Christmas gifts to our kids. Traveled to Pennsylvania from New York with them hidden in their boxes. Rode with them both totally assembled on the way back to New York!

Anything Prefontaine is very collectible! I found a little pin, sold within an hour for $25. He's been gone a long time, but the collectors are definitely out there.

In 1974, Prefontaine was the first athlete to sign with Nike, for $5,000. He competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics, Oregon Track Club i think he was first to were Nike shoes

The Truck metal slides are to hang your shirt and pants from. Think of that trunk as your closet and dresser all in one. That is how people traveled in the past and while on travel they dressed up.

Theory on why the heavy boxes were up high on the stack. When these people loaded the truck to move into the storage unit, they stacked the heavy bixes on the bottom. When the boxes came out of the moving truck the lighter boxes came out first and the heavy boxes on the bottom came out last. And that's the reverse stacking theory.

Uff da, uranium glass typically sells high! And the trunk with the sliding bars would have been for travel, & hanging up your clothes.---You know your stuff, but the only exciting items in there, in my opinion, was all that depression glass. In the right setting, it'll fly! Also, the rhinestone and aurora borealis jewelry, should really go too!

You should really carry both of the flashlights for glowing glassware, Vaseline/uranium glass sells well, and so does amberina ( red glass glows yellow) and quite a few other depression era glasswares. It’s nice when the person with the auction shows that the item glows, because there are fakes out there.

The jewelry box is Hollywood regency style. Popular in late 60’s- early 70’s. Fairly collectible right now. The piece of wood from the jewelry box was likely a needle 🪡 box, used for sewing needles. If it is, the top will come off, they are collectible.

i think yu should pay more attention to some of the antique furniture. i know yu aren't interested in it but some is worth a lot of money check your trunks. the one yu just opened up with the drawerrs in it yu dont see anymore. it is probably something yu could take on a long boat ride or for a long travel

Those pieces appear to be uranium and Vaseline glass and will sell for some $$. If you find Red glass with yellow is called amberina glass and will also glow because it has cadmium in it.

So I am wondering how to find the names of the videos that like are the first one for that particular storage. Sometimes the first one that I watch isn't the first time ya been to the unit. Thanks for watching our videos! If you go to our RU-vid channel, you can view our videos in chronological order. That way, it would be easy to watch the prior video(s) and see the earlier episodes on any locker. For most of the larger lockers, which span multiple video episodes, I also set up playlists so you can watch the full series. This particular unit was called the "Tonka Truck Unit" and had 3 parts. The playlists are also visible on the RU-vid channel. Not all RU-vidrs organize with playlists, but it's something I've done since the start of the channel. Prefontaine was a track and field star from Coos Bay OR who participated in the ‘72 Olympics. He tragically died in a car accident a few years later. He was the first athlete to wear Nike running shoes.
