They based it off the retro Jordan 1 low silhouette. Pretty much all AJ1 lows looked like this until recently where they introduced the new AJ1 low (SBB, Black toes, etc). I don't think Nike retired the retro low silhouette entirely though; some models like the Jordan x SB Kostons or the Travis Scott lows were released last year retaining the retro low style. Personally I much prefer the retro low silhouette compared to the updated version (sleeker profile, Nike Air tongue tab, etc).

Tbh, you're comparing it to a wrong aj low tops. These fake low is an Aj 1 low OG retro fake, you're comparing it to aj 1 low retro. On legit OG low pairs, the back air jordan logo are painted logos not stitching like the retro ones. 2nd the tongue on OG lows is shorter than the new retros. And has the "nike air" rather than jumpman logo. You should have compared it to the OG lows like the bred royal and shadows to really compare it. Just saying.. But i hope nike wud really release this so 🔥🔥

Those are terrible quality on those I copped those on release day. The leather is not as good more of a glossy leather and the stitching is bad and so is the wings logo on the back. Would never cop fakes period lol
