Yes! Very organized and I also would love to see them all!!! I am always fascinated with old photos and often wish I could jump in them and explore!!! 😂🙋🏼♀️👊🏻
So happy that you got the photo albums. They look like they were shot well and even better had notes on the back as to what the photo was and when it was taken. I'm sure you'll have fun researching some of the locations. Maybe we'll even see a short vid!
I'm so happy for you that you got the photo albums! Did anyone bid against you or was 30 dollars the starting price? Thanks for letting us see some photos right away! The box of Elvis memorabilia is also a little treasure chest. Cheers Gabriele - Berlin
Hi Renee. What a great album you got from the Auction. That is so amazing. I say, you have a good eye for album's. And Oh my on Elvis. He is still in the building. God Bless you Renee and the best Auction ever. HUGS 🤗. Mari'a. 🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁👍👍👍👍👍👍💕💕💕💕
I was thinking it must be a regional thing like Vernor's. I'm not from MI, but we had a good friend that loved it. After we tasted it, other ginger ales didn't compare. Here in KY we have Ale 8, but I personally don't think it's anything remarkable.
Nice pictures. I saw one pic taken in Lititz. I used to go to their craft show that was lined up on either side of the streets as far as you could see. It was held in August. Lots of fun.
Glad you bought the photo albums, Renee. The photographer was obviously very organized, and did an excellent job of labeling and categorizing. I know you'll appreciate them, and hope you share them with us in the future! Someday, you're gonna' open your own museum full of ephemera and pictures!
I am so glad Ms Moose that you are a historical junkie - the photos to me were priceless. I remember my Grandmother boarding a Delta DC-3 in Atlanta while I watched from the very exposed top of the terminal which was then open to the public - lasting memory brought back by your old photos. I thank you for bringing it back to mind, I think I was 4 years old.
I was not expecting a video from you today, Renée, so my apologies for the delayed comment. 🥲 A pretty neat auction inventory, which seems to be the result of a house cleanout. I like the little collection of Elvis items, the Order of the Eagles ring and, of course, the late 1940s photographs that you purchased. A great find and very well documented ! 👌Keep it up (I just saw that you made 100 k viewers on one of your recent locker vids, congrats !), and have a very happy and relaxing time over there in the Far West ! 🐻Greets from GER, U.
Hello Renee. This was a fun action. I’m so glad you got the photos I know you’ll enjoy them. They are very lovely and have a lot of history in them. Elvis was a great singer. I enjoy his music from time to time. Take care. And enjoy your weekend. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🫎🫎🥰🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️🥰🫎🫎💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
The photos! What a great win. Saw some in there from Kernersville, NC. When I worked in environmental remediation we had a job out there. Got a nice trunk there once too. Every photo labeled, in those great albums, not ripped or torn or water-damaged. What a great find. Hope you are having a fabulous time in YS still. Thanks for lining up these vids for us while you are away!
Two thoughts, first, I have said before, I would love to see you recreate some of these photos in a then and now series. Second I have been thinking it would be worthwhile to document some everyday places around my town today for future history fans, and maybe have a list to revisit every few years to note the changes. Like Joni Mitchell sang “ we don’t know what we’ve got til its gone”
Looks like a good auction, the photos were great especially since they had descriptions and weren’t glued into an album. Years ago I had a girl work for me that was from Vermont, she was always going off how great this moxie drink was. Finally brought some back and oh my god it tasted like crap!
Please do a video just about the photo albums! Any clues as to the photographer? Name, location, profession etc? I’m curious how those beautiful photos ended up at auction 😢
You struck gold with those photo albums. Have never seen albums like that (the way you could flip through the photos on each page). Also the quality of the compositions of each photo looks very professional or at least the work of a very talented amateur.
Great stuff, Renee! LOVED the vintage photos, especially the airline/aircraft photos. You could do an entire series of videos on all those photos. That cloud picture from the air was awesome!
Renee you should get in touch with Scott of The old Curiosity Shop he is based in Philadelphia and focuses his selling on 20,s 30,s and 40,s glass and vintage. He would love those photo,s❤ and has great knowledge of the area.
I've heard of the Moxie soft drink. I wonder what it tasted like? I really like the lady auctionier . she gets a real good Rythmn going. Those pictures are amazing history. The person who labeled and organized them did such a terrific job! They are so clean and neat. Thanks for another great trip to the auction..
I love photos and the story behind them. I am from Guatemala and my granny got married twice, both husbands were photographers. Granny helped to color the photos. My mother new the story behind them. Wonderful, I have some of them.
I love the photographs! Elvis tote is cool, I was lucky enough to see him twice! At the Astrodome in Houston and in Lake Charles, Louisiana. My cousin was so excited to see him that she cried the whole time!
Hi Renee, great video per usual. Any chance we will see any of the aviation photos available on your etsy store? Not for me but it could be a neat gift to an old airplane pilot friend of mine who collects older aviation stuff. Thanks. Dan
Great sale and a fun video. The box with the brown dishes right at the end of the search had a Bronze Star Medal case in it. If the medal is in there that's $40 minimum on eBay.
Hi, Renee...you started your latest adventure with a box of neat doll-related items which I'd bid on...the RV is very cute, as well as the vintage Jaguar-styled auto...they'd make great props for my adventurous fr-g figurines! I do have a few vehicles with fr-g drivers and passengers! A buddy of nine has a large collection of beer related signs and collects shot glasses. I've found some neat ones for him. You've brought back many childhood memories with those Capitol children's 78 record albums, I still have a couple of the Bozo Albums, including "Bozo and His Rocket Ship"! My collection of children's records covers the 1920s-1950s period. That tin plate Dick Tracy Squad Car looks like a neat toy item. A woman I know would go "bonkers" over that box of Elvis stuff...she's got quite a collection. Cook Books...I remember all the shelves of those I saw in many an estate sale kitchen! There's "dough" in that audience!!! Great netting those albums! Neat look back into the great past! I see you got the Elvis bin!
1920s children record covers? They probably have lovely illustrations on them, if they are of that type. The Barbie items sold for a little over $100 & then a few days later I saw a listing for them on Facebook marketplace- the person that won them was asking over $500 for the house, RV, & some of the accessories. You are right though, perfect for frogs!
@@PaperandMoose I've seen those kind of doll houses in thrift stores, but broken or incomplete, as well as Barbie herself...even in her birthday suit! Poor way to end up, in the doll bin! You got some nice finds!
Never heard of the Order of the Eagle before so I looked them up. What I found sounded something from the justice league😂 "The Fraternal Order of Eagles, an international nonprofit organization, unites fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice and equality, to make human ..." tried to find the rest by going to the link and well.......never found the rest of the mission statement.....
Renee, I loved the photo albums!!! I would have been shocked if you hadn’t have gotten them!!! Also, did I see some NC photos? Take a look again please…two reasons, because I’m curious and partial! But I’m in 🙋🏼♀️Central NC here, but specifically look for any and all of the western foothills and the NC mountains. SO MUCH DEVASTATION AND LOSS!!! Any photos from there would be awesome. Love your videos as always! Hopefully I’ll get caught up with you and Taco Stacks this fall and winter❤️Y’all are still my favs! 👉🏻(Loved the last storage building jackpot haul) ✨🎉 That’n wuz a gudden!!! 🤣
@dianadollar758 - I definitely saw Winston-Salem & Kernersville in there. I have relatives in Asheville who are all OK but without power, water, phone, etc. The flooding & destruction is so bad. I imagine you got the same downpour we got here in Durham - Durham Central Park / Foster Street was flooded out as you probably saw. And here I wasn't expecting anything.
The main character in The Perfect Couple" on one of the, streaming networks is from Easton, Pa. I know you don't look at your comments but I thought I'd share it anyway.
I think there are at least 10 of the photograph folios. So nice that every single photo has writing on the back! Little did they know how that brief writing would be so helpful years later!
The photographer who took all the photos had such a great eye. In addition the photos are all so clear. They are wonderful. I’m glad you had the winning bid. That was a great price.
