I paid £17 to stay in this low budget HOTEL in BLACKPOOL / worst hotel ever ?? 

I know you cant expect a lot for £17 but you can expect it to be clean.

Yes Dan I fear the sink has definitely been used as a Latrine! The overall vibe of the place was minging! You could have turned the lights off and gone round and done an Urban exploring video it looked that run down!

I actually lived not to far from there although now I'm back home living in Edinburgh Scotland but I really liked living in Blackpool & my other half still lives there now!..... Another great video Dan but I think it was coming back to the light being on that made you unsure whether to stay the night, understandably!👍

As a woman I can tell you in all honesty I would rather hover over that sink than visit the god awful communal toilet … just being honest, thank you and your lovely lady for the content I love it ❤

Another banging video mate, and yes %100 know people piss in the sinks in b&bs, I used to spend a lot of time in army barracks, using the sink was standard but always left it spotless!. Keep them coming Dan, you aught to take your own sleeping bag in case of extreme circumstances lol 😂

Does your wife fumigate your clothes and make you have a scrolling hot bath when you return home. I admire you for your persistence in reviewing these dumps that are not fit for purpose. I do think that these booking agents should take responsibility and report to the local council. These places give Blackpool a bad reputation.

I'm so glad you make people aware especially the size of the bed its no excuse the hotel charging £17 I don't go to blackpool nowdays due to my health issues but in the days of me going to blackpool for the weekend I didn't go for the cheapest but a medium priced hotel. Each person / couples have their own price bracket. People shouldn't have to stay in something like that.

The problem isn't always the hotel management , Sometimes the guests simply have no care for their own hygiene (or home). I have the upmost respect for you trying to make a difference. We need more like you in the world that's for sure!

I totaly get the whole "you get what you pay for mentality" and maybe these "hoteliers" dont have much funds for improvement, but surely they could go to second hand stores and easily by a new bed (sometimes even brand new mattresses) for very cheap!

The problem is going to continue if you don't actually inform the owners of the hotel.

ni its owned by a family who have 13 of these low budgets the lad was employed typicly 160 a week to housekeep and give out the keys all there places are near same

Even that massive stain on the wall looked like it had taken on human form and was aghast at the state of that hovel!! I wouldn't stay there for the night if they offered to pay me!

Im laid in my (clean) bed at home & itching like mad watching the grubbiness. I dont know how you do it, but i love watching it! 😅

At one time, hot water was only available at limited hours: could that have been the case?🤔 In resorts, like Blackpool, prices could be expected to be higher...and many accommodations to be tatty. Here, the price was low and the room was tatty. Was this place somewhat near the attractions? As to sanitation: the bathrooms showed some mold and neither you nor I could fit in the showers. At least your sink was attached to the wall and the taps stood far enough out to fill a glass. There should have been a cover on the mattress to protect the mattress against various likely secretions. The room was very small, so it was easier for you to clean it in good time!😇 What with having camped in bivvies, I would not have felt claustrophobic.

Blackpool is a dystopian hell.

I have a whole plethora of ideas' as to what this place is. Could it be..... 1. A place where 'ladies of the night' bring 'clients'. 2. A 'shooting gallery'. An establishment where people go to inject drugs. 3. A flophouse. A place that accepts homeless people, cash only. 4. All of the above. The chances are the hotel owner is as desperate as the people who check in.

Never use the kettle in any hotel good or bad, you would be shocked how many of them have been pissed in.

Bad state of affairs when u leave room cleaner than what it was when u went into it. £17,01 doesn't mean u let u guests stay in filth. I paid £25 at a B&B in Ayr Scotland and it was spotless. Plus u got a great fry up in the morning.

Im very surprised that the health and safety people have not shut that crap hole down..not fit enough for any animals to sleep in let alone a human being..No way would i stay there its cleaner camping out in a tent

In my younger days hopping in a shit van and playing punk shows around the states I kept a journal rating the garbage places we stayed and which hotels to avoid (we were broke. They were a luxury). At the end of a tour my bag and journal were stolen. But I love this idea. I'd like more in depth bathroom reviews lol. Pooping away from home can suck

Just found this channel and holy crap! That room was nasty and that bed? Just wow! I honestly don’t know how you stayed there. I couldn’t have. To be fair, if the bed was clean, clean draws, etc it wouldn’t have been so bad but that was the pits. I feel so blessed to be sitting up in a nice clean bed and new bedding . I recently bought a proper thick winter blanket and it’s so cozy. Oh crap, you only have a few videos uploaded. I was going to binge watch. I look forward to future uploads but does it have to be you staying in hell, every time? How about stay in some budget but CLEAN places?

Another interesting video and find the Blackpool ones most interesting as a former resident and regular lifelong visitor. You do a very good job with videos and seem a proper down to earth sound bloke. Where was the stake house? Might have to give it a try next time I'm up there and would be great to bump into you up there and have a chat mate.

A hotel u could try out as a review and video blog could be the Oaklea in Blackpool it's advertised as being a pleasant modern recently refurbished hotel, bit when I recently stated there this wasn't the case Staff seemed uninterested and fed up of working there also when I bought up issues with room and also fact lighting was not fully lit throughout hotel even at night I had to use my phones torch to see where was going. The staff just ignored me and carried on playing on their phones

Shouldn't matter bought price of hotel, room should always be respectful for each guest that stays, we spending our hard earned money to stay there

I dunno if they are still around or whatnot but oyu used to be able to get a "Universal remote" app on phones and you just input the make/model of the TV and it can try to use it as a remote. May help yourself when rooms don't provide the remote, I know that's not a 'fix' but it can at least help your mind with the tv :)

Places like this should be honest, reconfigure to cell standards (toilet, sink, metal framed bed) and advertise a book in, go on the lash, hit the sack at 01.00 and be out at 10am type vibe. There could be no misunderstanding.

I lived in Blackpool in 97-98. Worked in one of that kind of B&B cleaning rooms. Everything was so much different. Cheap hotels, but clean and presentable. Can't understand what happened.

Its a hotel Dan, they dont wash the walls, pillows or bedspreads. That costs money. You get clean sheets and coffee. Thats it. Its not the hilton where you pay 400 usd per night and 10 usd for a cup of coffee. Just a cheap room to go and do what you came there to do and sleep, maybe. When you start to pay more for your room then you can complain. But I've been in some pretty schetchy places where people leave their shoes outside. Toss the comforter off to the corner, dont use the phone or the shower and never put your bags on the floor. One of these times you will walk away with more than what you came with.

Why no mattress protector?? That would save them money in the long run!! The human soup in that mattress 🤮🤢 thanks for such courage xx

That were better than the one I paid 30 for , the landlady greeted me in pajamas smoking a spliff , awake all night with drunk pissed up people , went to bog in morning and fell over some weapons on stairs ! That's luxury lol

Hi Dan, I’m new to your channel so not sure if you always cover DSS and homeless hotels but this is clearly one of those.

A lot of the hotels in Blackpool have a sign saying vacancies but no one answers the door or the phone what a strange way to run a business

Ever since an ex collegue told me him and his mates would regularly urinate in hotel kettles and turn it on before leaving made me never ever use a hotel kettle or cups ever again.

That is horrible. No way would I stay there. Doesn’t seem like even the basic cleaning happens

The burn marks are from burning of certain ghetto substances, most likely inhaling H or Crk from it. The bus stations around here are full of them in the cubicals with plastic toilet roll holders. I guess they don't care about inhaling plastic, perhaps it's even desirable. Very brave staying there, been watching for a week or two and going over some of your older videos, you're an accomodation warrior! Brilliant channel that can only grow and grow.

Sums Blackpool up, most people who holiday there have no idea, most deprived town in the UK.

Wouldn't be touching those taps in the bathroom as there's no soap so they're probably covered in poo!
