I did a self dedication many years ago and still remember it. it was in winter along the coast in the north east. it was so cold that waves broke over the rock before me-liminal space- and as they fell back they left the layer of ice behind them.

After I resigned from the group I was involved with for almost two years, I decided to formally dedicate myself to Babalon and the Thelemic path. I created the dedication ritual myself and performed it. I was a good first step to what would be my solitary journey in Thelema. I haven't formally joined another group since and have instead sought knowledge through divination when I feel like I'm at a crossroads.
This is so awesome! I am not a ceremonial person at all, and find my beliefs change over the course of 5 years or so over and over, but I really like this idea of dedicating to "my best self". So many great ideas here, thank you so much, Ivy! ❤

Loved this Ivy, and thank you for sharing. I agree totally. My practice became much stronger after my dedication to Holda. I recorded and shared a little about it afterward. I also saw Lennan Smiths video about her dedication or "marriage" to the craft. My experience was powerful and magical.
Great video Ivy, love all that you shared about you dedication cermony. I have been thinking of doing one myself. But I was deciding whether to do it to dedicate myself to a new goddess or to my spiritual path. I did change my You Tube name, but you have me down with my old one spelled wrong, I was "TJ the Eclectic Healing Witch" and you have me as the TJ the "Electric" Healing WItch, lol. which is funny, lol. Sounds like I am a shocking healing witch.
Yess I'm so haopy you posted this. I think it sounds like a wonderful and beautiful way of refocusing yourself so that your conscious and subconscious selves are in alignment. I want to try it for myself!
Ivy this sounds great! you have really become one of my absolute favorite channels here on YT. You mentioned a couple times about your coven, how it’s a democratic system. If you felt comfortable sharing, I would love to hear more about it. How you guys found each other, how you organize, why you chose to join this type of coven as opposed to traditional ones or experiences with other types of covens. I think lots of people are looking for something similar and would be also interested in hearing about it 🤍

I filmed a pretty thorough video talking about covens in general, what to look for, what to avoid, how to create your own, and I went through the entire structure of our coven. Unfortunately, that video hit the wrong crowd on RU-vid (a lot of religious people) and the comment section was really toxic. I ended up removing the video because I didn't want these individuals to be attracted to my channel and start commenting on other videos. Unfortunately, I just don't see myself making another coven video at this time. I just can't bring myself to do it!

And that must be so frustrating when you’ve put so much work in a video before sharing. I totally get why you’d want to avoid sharing again. Well maybe someday if you have a patreon/discord or other space I hope you can share perhaps unlisted videos that may get the wrong crowd around on public platforms. Ohh this is such a beautiful way to celebrate my 50th birthday coming up!! I'm thinking of doing it with my two witchy sisters who are also turning 50. We all share a birthday month!! I really enjoyed your thought process. I have been following earth magic for many (many) years. I recently began honing in my beliefs and core values, I realized I am an occultist/along side of a solitary hedge witch. Solitary because there isn't a lot of people like me. I love the idea of the white dress as a symbol of dedication. I am emphatic about our magical/more aware selves being set aside from the mundane/ unenlightened world. It's a bit ironic when you meet an "Nature Magic Witch" of some sort and they are drinking a coke and eating something equally as poisonous. Part of knowing is doing. I do enjoy your tea inspired sessions. I don't feel quite so alone in this world. Blessings. -Kirsten

What do you recommend for someone that has a hard time writing things down like I know a lot of people like to keep a grimoire or a journal or something like that but I never have time to really write things down but I listen and I read so much and I have books and everything but Just find it really hard for me to take time to write things down. I have OCPD and I’m constantly moving around and cleaning and things like that and I just find it really hard for me to take the time to sit down to write down everything that I know
