Convinced my middle son to play hooky today and come magnet fishing with me. I guess it's not real "playing hooky" if I asked him to do it, but you get what I'm saying. Anyways, it was a reason for us to have some good old father & son time ...... and clean up the river a bit. We had a good time and pulled in a good amount of stuff. Enjoy!

I don’t really do scrap runs …… I give the scrap to a friend and she brings it all to the scrapyard. This way we don’t profit from it and each outing can be considered “volunteering” and my oldest can count it towards his high school volunteer hours …… which needs to be 40 hrs by the end of Grade 12.

🤣😂 …… sorry, a bit misleading eh! We had several vehicles honk at us, none of which was on video. I left in the conversation with the one gentleman because it was appropriate …… there were two other males that spoke too us, which I couldn’t include ….. one guy asked my son if he had 50 cents for a beer, then walked past me and looked out over the bridge and said “hey kid, there are berries here that won’t make you sick!” . And the third person was barely holding his pants up and said something that we weren’t able to understand. So we did attract quite a bit of attention but unfortunately couldn’t share most of it.
