You missed out on so much by not doing the DLCs. Some of the best content in the series is in the DLCs.

Fun fact for you! While it’s much easier to see his face and what happened to it in the pre sequel you can actually see his face after you kill him in 2. You can collect his mask as a face item for your character not sure if you noticed but if you look at his corpse you can see the burn logo on his face there. Think it can vary if he ragdolls funny though and he might be face down

Seeing Borderlands 1 always makes me relive the time me and my old friend stayed up pass like 2am to beat the game. The same day that i decided to pick out my user name that i use today. 10+ years later

Borderlands 2 is peak to me. Not only is it my favorite Borderlands to date, it’s easily in my top ten games of all time. I’ve dumped so many hours into this game, so many solo play throughs and co-op playthroughs with unforgettable memories playing with friends. I even did a modded play through recently and it was basically a whole new game that was fun to experience while also keeping that nostalgia factor. You did yourself a disservice not playing any of the DLC though.

Presequel was my first introduction to the series so it’s my favorite and I picked claptrap… it was an emotional rollercoaster whenever I didn’t get an ability that would be helpful from his little lottery system 😂 so you definitely made a good decision with wilhelm… every character in that game is pretty good with the only real weak link being the baroness

Too bad the film adaptation was a stinker

At 8:00 the bug thing was actually a "God" the bandits around that area were worshipping lol

Surprised the Tiny Tina games weren't mentioned. But I've only played a small bit of Borderlands 3. So this should be interesting.

You'd probably really like Wonderlands. Its really fun playing it but the endgame loop was the real killer for it

Borderlands 2 is arguably one of the greatest sequels in a series of games ever. It's got its flaws and its cons but it is such an iconic game that has you playing it through 3+ times just to hit level cap and then you progress another 10 levels over level which is it's own battle! I could play bl2 for another 20 years every other year or so and really enjoy myself

Man, I love that you do sporadic games and half of the time they're some of my all time favorites. Like BL2! And as a Borderlands fan, I need this pick-me up now more than ever.

You were probably struggling with BL2 so much not necessarily because of Zer0, but because you had a bad build. This happened to me, I beat the game (also with Zer0), came back years later for the plat and struggled in True Vault Hunter Mode, until I respec'd my skills to something that fit my playstyle better. As soon as I did that I was breezing through TVHM

Found you recently through your Thief playthrough, your appreciation of The Escapists makes me happy, and now playing one of my favorite overall series of all time. I have a somewhat complicated relationship with these games, they have PLENTY of flaws, but they each are great for a different reason and are all worth playing. 2 is the fan favorite, so it's kind of nice to have a new perspective, who doesn't know about the general consensus on 3 being disappointing (my favorite game in the series, personally) and who can appreciate 1 with fresh eyes. You tend to talk a lot about what you enjoy about games, which I very much like. You appreciate the atmosphere and feel of games, which can often go unseen or unremembered. Especially with such an extensive and thorough approach to games, that positivity helps a lot with making things shine. I highly encourage delving into the DLCs, whether on the channel or no, as they are often the best content the series has to offer. Some are misses, but in general the DLC is very solid. Thanks for the vid, and again for the most welcome positivity. Games are pretty great, huh?

Fun video. Felt fresh to see someone unfamiliar with the games revisit them. My thoughts and opinions on the games largely echo your own. If Borderlands 4 gives us 3's standard of gameplay with 2's standards of story, and PS's NPC-player interaction, then woof, it'll be great.

The best way to grind in the Pre-Sequel Vanilla is to constantly kill the Iwajira in VNH, you can find him just out of the starting area and he drops a legendary.

was trying to see if anybody commented this but fun fact all the characters in pre-sequel appear in borderlaans 2 except for the doppleganger and athena. Wilhelm you actually kill during the main story, nisha is jacks girlfriend and if you do the lynchwood side quests you kill her, claptrap well is claptrap, and aurelia is mentioned once or twice as hammerlocks sister in borderlands 2

Borderlands 3 will always be my favourite borderlands alot of people didn't like the story... Although it's abit of a mess it's still overall a great looter shooter

watching this video inspired me to download and play some of the borderlands games again also if anyone is interested they have a new borderlands pandora’s box game that is similar to halo the master chief collection as it contains every game in the borderlands series so far from what i saw i think excluding the tiny tina’s game and the upcoming borderlands 4

Borderlands 2 is the one enjoyed by speedrunners over 3, ezpecially due to a glitch that is used by speedrunners but also exists on the current patch (at the time of this comment) -- Gaige's Desthtrap has a skill you can spec into callee "Buck Up" which, if Deathtrap is actively usingwhile the map switches, it sticks to the character. The easiest way to use is to unequip the shield on who to buff, call put Deathtrap, and get a map transition durimg it (co-op: start map switch, 1 srcond wait, call out deathtrap) -- it can stack a lot before the stacking becomes useless, but can help carry a whole team that has enough shield to withstand single hits from enemies before the shield recharges like less than a tenth of a second.

I think that my only issue with borderlands 1, besides the getting stuck on invisible objects, is the fact that you cannot move AT ALL in ffyl, made getting a second wind so much harder in the first game.

The good thing about borderlands is the variety and surprisingly you can rebind your buttons on console so it's like one of 5 games that let you do it but then the unbalanced leveling and difficulty and xp gains, 1 and 2 have loads of weapons but they feel same ish really quick, the fetch quests that waste your time without proper reward, the driving that's lifted from halo instead of normal controls, the useless money. A lot of that got fixed in 3 and I'm glad but there's still a feeling that they didn't improve enough and not reaching full potential.

Props to the best Uncle ever for holding spots for that TPS co-op trophy!!

The villains were serviceable in my opinion. I didn't think they were super rgeat, but i didnt think they were bad, but that they served their purpose and thats it. That being said, i thought it was cool she ran around absorbing vault monsters and then you fight a fusion of the monsters.

ironically pre sequel and 3 are my favorites, maybe because they have my favorite characters to play of the series: nisha and amara, i just love to play them, with moze coming right behind them

maybe i didn't notice or its not in the remakes but there was an achievement i nevr got on borderlands 1 involving playing with a gearbox member or someone who already had the achievement edit: after looking at it they changed the achievement "and theyll tell two friends" from playing with a gearbox employee or someone with the achievement to just playing with someone else

In fact the full plat series of BL games is 19 games. You can double plat all of the individual games except assault on dragon keep (1x), BL1 (3x) and new tales (3x). So theres still something do do 👍

I’ve only got the platinum in Borderlands 2 and 3, but I’d say I enjoy BL3 the most because of its modernized controls, and it is much more manageable for someone playing solo. Plus the raid bosses can be annoying at times in BL2.

So technically the order you should play the games in if you care about the story order, its 1 ➡️ pre sequel ➡️ 2 ➡️ tales 1 ➡️ 3 ➡️ tales 2 (there's also wonderlands but I don't know when exactly that takes place other than sometime after 2)

Also you shoulda played tiny tinas wonderland but i love ya man keep it up so happy you bought a house congratulations 🎉❤

BL1 is the hardest if you would go for the 100%, 2 of the DLCs is what makes it the hardest.

I tried for months to get the "shatter 3 frozen enemies with one slam attack" and "get a lost legion eternal to kill 3 of his friends" trophies in the pre-sequel. Its impossible! The other legion guys out DPS the eternal before he can even kill 1 of them most of the time!

Been wanting to plat the first borderlands for a while so it’s cool to see studdy plat them all

Halfway through my 1st playthrough of BL3, I found a legendary revolver, really good damage, kept it all the way up until halfway through my 2nd playthrough, it just got outdated and I gave it to who I was playing co-op with, which he couldn't use cause he was level 12 and it was level 37. I found a very similar revolver down the road i guess, caude on my current playthrough, another TVHM playthrough, i have it, its my best gun in like every way.

I love Borderlands I've platinumed every version of each game on every platform including the Tiny Tina games and dying for more reason to play more Borderlands

In borderlands 1, was there not achievements with the DLCs? I remember one about collecting brains if I’m right, and also maybe an achievement for reaching level 69?

IMO Borderlands 2 is a better game in everyway possible including an iconic villain. However Borderlands 1 has a special place in my memories as been something really different at the time. You should try dlc at some point. Some of the best bosses

I hate that Telltale shutdown, I loved their games especially their Borderlands game and The Wolf Among Us. I haven't played the New Tales of the Borderlands but yeah I heard it doesn't have that Telltale feel.
