Tip for Drek for anyone else, use the flame thrower, it’s damage is tied to frame rate and with the rerelease versions running quicker, it chunks him down like nothing.
@@NoahWilliams6258nefarious was harder for me in childhood, I used to beat drek for fun, for the first play through you have to do what I call the “drek tax” just pay for blaster ammo with the pda, when you get the ryno on play through 2-3 you can beat him with ease
I can't imagine beating the first game on a stream where you can't just go offline for 4-5 hours using the taunter infinite bolt glitch to get the Ryno for the Drek fight
Drek is actually easier than you think. 2 shot bursts from the Blaster or Tesla Claw quick zaps(that's what I call it) will bring down his health 1 tick at a time. The bots can be lured close together and easily destroyed with either the Bomb Glove or Devestator.
You son of a gun. I embarked on this quest myself idk like a year ago? Never beat any of the games but tried them a couple times as a kid. I’ve platinumed all the mainline games up to this point except for the PS4 one (I just beat it for the first time yesterday but still not platinum) So much fun!

unpopular opinion. The lack of strafe is what makes the 1st game work. Strafing would've made me not use the unique weapons as varied on my first playthrough.... however.. the weapon selections arent quite balanced anyways (nor the currancy) cause now if I replay... I use wrench, blaster, suck cannon, Devastator. then visibomb for gold bolts, and i add Tesla coil for the final boss
Somebody might already Say it but the gold weapon room IS available in NG on gemlick base ! There is a tower After Quark battle where you Can jump from wall to wall to an elevator where the room is 😉 GG for these platinium trophy I'm seeking them right now I'm glitching to 1 million bolts when I type this it's a pain to the a** 😂😂
I will say this: I LOVE this franchise. Easily one of my all-time favorite franchises I've ever played. But I HATE the first game. The controls are wonky and the Drek fight is horrible. But every other game after that is fantastic. Well done, Brando.
Ratchet & Clank is hands down my favorite franchises ever, one of my favorite aspects are the collectibles and skill points which are so fun to get. And i don't wanna sound demanding but i just wanna know if and when you are gonna make a video on the rest of the ps3 ratchet games.
I got the three platinums because I don't have deadlocked. Just got 2's platinum before yesterday I was easy. For the ultimate destruction trophy on going commando you just need to buy every weapon and upgrade them first time only accept for sheepinator and clank zapper
on ps3 you can kill the final boss of the first game easily with the flamethrower, something to do with the framerate and how often the enemy is damageable.
@@Alex-ex8obreally interesting, I would have thought those sort of version differences would’ve been a thing of the past by the time of ps3. Is it hardware of the ps3 or something with the game? I think pal had a physical release of the hd collection, does it apply in both physical and download?
@@gareth6956 it applies to both physical and digital. Keep in mind these are still PS2 games, just with higher resolutions. Hell, a PAL PS3 can output the game in 50 hz (which will make the pyro glitch not work). It really was just an issue with them taking the PS2 PAL version and upscaling from 50 hz.
I don't get why strafing isn't like the normal strafing we know and love. It even HAS strafing but a really shitty one (the one where you hover with the jetpack and strafe)
He plays on ps3 but the games when you have Premium you can stream the ps3 games otherwise theres no war to play these games on ps4 or ps5 online stream when you have PS Premium
It's technically a PSP game, though it later came to PS2. However that's not why he didn't play it - he hunts for achievements, and Size Matters doesn't have those, since it never came out for PS3

You lie. A) That's not all the PS2 Ratchet and Clank games. You're missing Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank. B) None of these are PS2 games, you are playing the PS3 ports. C) PS2 never had achievements (but the built-in Skill Points in Insomniac's games function similarly).
