Hi everyone, "actual" Colonel CaperCafe here, welcoming you back to our RU-vid series, where I try to beat Bomber Crew USAAF by only flying missions at low altitude and hopefully keeping my crew alive, flying over 25 missions, and not losing any aircraft! I loved playing through Bomber Crew 2 years ago, but do I still have what it takes to pull this off in Operation Low Road? I can't do it alone! We were sooooo close!! I reckon we were maybe a few seconds away from friendly territory and the enemy would have backed off. It wouldn't have been a smooth landings, but better than the one I did. Thanks for watching 😃

Hello Colonel, Intel Officer here, the report is on my desk, and that was a tough one, the last wave of fighters really hit you hard. It's unfortunate to see Desert Rat go down, but it is something we must be prepared for, even if it does slightly hurt me. Your crew put up a valiant fight against overwhelming odds, and with hydraulics down, it made it very difficult. Tracking the Aircraft you were fighting was a doozie this mission, but here is what I saw: Fiat CR.42, Bf-109, Bf-110, Ju-87, Me-163, Me-262. Hopefully, considering you have just a little lest than half your crew remaining, they will help carry the new crew until they can be up to scratch

Thank you for your report o7 Things just went from bad to worse this mission. I'm shocked, SHOCKED, at how many enemies they threw at us. I suppose that means I have them spooked 😁 I appreciate the aircraft report. That's quite the list!! Stay tuned for today's mission, where you'll have to keep an eye out for a special new type of aircraft 🧐

Keep your eye on the radar, when those fighters show up get them tagged, you can switch the crew around to different gun positions. Never leave your rear guns unoccupied.

Thanks for the tips and thanks for watching!! I'll admit that I cut things close to the edge when enemies show up during photo recons and bombing runs where I focus on those instead of tagging....and it's had its consequences before 😅

@@NotYourBuddyFriend_ another tip it to try to stay at high altitude as much as possible. Not all of the German fighters can reach high altitude. I've flown over 200 full campaigns only failing to finish 6 of them.

@@corkyduke8673 You're 100% right. I flew high altitude for the latter half of the British main campaign, taking the high road, but the challenge this time is Operation Low Road where I ONLY fly low altitude 😄

😂🤣😂 Money first, consoling the families of the departed second. Thanks for watching! Yeah, the DLC is very tough. I think it's combination of slow money income (which I knew from a past playthrough) and Operation Low Road. You just never earn enough to keep if you're avoiding grinding.

No kidding!! I really wonder if the devs programmed in the same enemy AI engine as Alien Isolation. Every time I think I'm doing ok and I'll escape, they throw literally 20 fighter jets at me 😅

It's really heartbreaking. Believe me, when I'm playing the game, and we get on a good run, it hurts a lot of lose the people you see every mission. But DogeDragone will carry on their spirit!!

12:45 - Medium Altitude???? Punished justly for your transgression! I kid, slightly. 56% KIA is rough, I notice your biggest issue seems to be ignoring critical repairs like hydraulics until it's too late. You can have a non engineer fix it, it'll just take longer, and leaving it to fail in combat will almost always lose you a plane. Good Luck!

Clearly the karma gods were out to get me this mission!! You're right that non-engineers can fix anything on the airplane, just slightly slower, but the balance is do you risk taking one of them off of a gun to do that? For sure there are times when tunnel vision kicks in and I miss the start of an alert, but also keep in mind that a system can go from breaking to broken very quickly if the enemies are also shooting at us. That's what makes this such a fun game! Maybe I'll re-train the radio operator to also be engineer, since their system is so closely tied to their role.

100%!! I think I mentioned something like that during the first Bomber Crew missions, but it's truly a perfect game. In a podcast that I listen to with people who develop games, they said that nothing will anger a gamer more than random chance. But in Bomber Crew, I don't think anything is random chance. The player is responsible for every action, non-action, good call, bad call. It's amazing! I can't wait to start on Space Crew next 😀 Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
