One thing about Animal Parade that I like was it builds on the rival marriages where eventually the couples have their own kids as well. However, because Animal Parade from what I remember is the last HM game to include rival marriages, this is the only game where new children can be introduced as a result of rival marriages

when this game inevitably gets a remake i just really hope they leave the character designs as they are and bring back the original artist, the art style and character designs in this game are genuinely the best in the series in my eyes. also praying that they don't oversaturate the colors of the environment like they did with a wonderful life, the more muted and realistic colors are part of the vibe imo

When I played as a kid I fell in love with the Wizard. To this day he's my favorite marriage candidate in any of these life Sims ever.

my favorite character is probably the harvest king! it's so refreshing to finally have the harvest king finally make a physical appearance in a HM game! he's also such a fun bachelor, not my favorite mind you, but he has some sweet dialogue and cute interactions with his kids. also....have you seen him? 😍😍 he's so handsome!

Not being able to have all the animals with the designs being as good as they are was a crime. I've settled on cows, sheep, and goats for my current playthrough, but I love the horses. Toby's my go-to, he's a good egg.

I had such a soft spot for Calvin, he reminded me a lot of Griffin who I was very bitter didn't return as a bachelor in the AWL remake lol. Here's hoping Animal Parade will get a remake next!

This is one of my top 5 for next remaster! (Tales of Two Towns is my number one, I love that one so much) I also didn't play this back when it came out (because I didn't have a Wii) but I played it in a ~totally legal way~ later and I fell in love with it! The Wizard and Toby are my favorites, they are just too cute ❤

YESSSSSSS!!!! I've been replaying this game like mad lately (I just made a 15-hour cross country move, been between jobs so I've had a lot of time) and it is just as good if not better than I remember. This game used to consume my summers back when I was in school (along with AWL). Witch Princess best girl btw and it's not even close

I do remember playing it, by lending it from our local media library. But Young-Me didn't really understood what to do there, so I never played that much of it sadly - Now I really would love to give an other chance nowadays!

Yay! I love watching your videos while grinding in HM Light of Hope. I went from being a defender of it to being extremely frustrated by how much RNG is in it as I try to complete the encyclopedia. Plus most of the fish dishes specifically require rainbow trout or arapaima, which aren't available year round and there's just too many other fish you can catch instead of them....

Welcome to the best cast of characters in all of Harvest Moon imo - they're legendary. My favorite tho? Ugh, that's hard. This was the first time I managed to marry a Harvest Goddess as a kid, and having little intimate moments like finding out her true name made it all the more special for me, so I'd have to go with my magical wife

Honestly, I tend to forget the animal parade part of the game. 😂 Its in the name, but feels like a side quest plot. Reviving the Harvest Goddess through replacing the bells is the main storyline.

Dont think I have a favorite character, but I love a lot about this game. I love the sounds the cows feet(?) makes when you ride it, the cow is adorable! And I love the details, like the kappa by the bridge, the ghost at the cemetary and the rubber duck that hides at your farm and moves around (based on the weather, I think). It always made me smile when I found him, usually in the water tower. And the music is nostalgic as I played this a lot a long time ago. My favorite puzzle is the one where you roll a duck egg off a roof. 😅

This happened to pop up on my recommended feed and this hit me so hard in the nostalgia gut. I miss the old HM games, just such appealing cute games I remember pouring hours into. I might have to find a way to play them again now 😭

This was my first Harvest Moon game. I remember watching PeanutButterGamer's video on it way back in the day and feeling like I needed to buy it because he made it look so interesting.(His tea song from that video is etched into my mind) When I finally bought it I only played it for 3 hours at most and felt so overwhelmed by the game for some reason. As I work through watching your video I hope it'll encourage me to give it another shot since I've become a fan of the series.

This game has one of the best rosters of bachelor and bachelorette designs I've seen in a HM/SoS game! If this gets a Switch remake, I hope the art style leans a little closer to the really cute illustrations than these models ;;;; The Wizard's design is the one I like the most (though the Harvest King is DANG, too)

I'm in the same boat; I never had a Wii so I never got to play this gem, but I was obsessed with looking at Fogu and videos of the heart events back on old-school RU-vid. I dreamed of the day where I could get it! Sadly, even until today, I haven't gotten to it, but I'm also very hopeful that it gets the remake treatment because I think it's the perfect time to do so. Especially because this game has rival marriages and kids right? Which I feel like is so rare! I'm currently working on getting every achievement in Olive Town and whew... That game sure is a grind. Not the worse game by any means but definitely not at the top, so I'm dying to see a return to form with rival marriages, kids, and a plethora of things to do! Thanks again for all your hard work. I gush excessively but your vids really are a joy to watch. Not sure about favorite character in AP but I remember seeing Luke and he was right up my 15-year-old alley, lmao the bandana with the flames did it for me and I was psyched. This game has almost as much nostalgia to it as A Wonderful Life and that is saying a LOT! I vividly remember my mom watching me water like 100 tomato plants and saying in disbelief "how do you have the patience to water these every single day but don't have the patience to clean your room??" Edit: Also I had the biggest crush on Owen, but since I played a male protagonist and they didn't support same sex relationships, I had to marry the tailor girl and in my head canon my farmer had a secret affair with Owen...

another fun fact about the word "fugue", it's ALSO a musical term, so it fits in with the rest of the world's musical themed naming scheme. it's a composition where several parts of a melody are each introduced in staggered intervals, and harmonize together. it's a VERY complicated structure for music, which is why it's also used as the name of a mazelike forest dungeon like fugue forest!

you can’t ask us who are favorite animal parade character is. When it’s really animal parade or tree of tranquility 😂 They both had the best of both worlds. Each with its own flaws and unique spins. Locked bachelors, rival marriages, part time jobs, short cuts/fast-travel, kid-overtaking farm+numerous cutscenes throughout the years and so much more. This is just what sticks out to me even though it’s been years since I played. Overall Animal Parade character ? The Harvest God. Loved him and the music in his area😂

This game was a huge part of my childhood. I would play it for hours when I was sick. I swear I killed my wii playing this game as we eventually got rid of it. This is my standard for any farming game and Stardew Valley comes close to filling the void. Luke and the Wizard were my boys. I would love to replay this on the switch!

I always loved the wizard and harvest god in animal parade. I liked having a challenge while playing I guess lol I would love to have a remaster of this game where I can marry whoever I wanted like they did for a wonderful life. I miss when games like this had rival couples/children, it made the game so much more interesting and worth playing for extended amounts of time

I’d never really got hooked on this game like I did previous games but after watching this now I’m thinking about scouring eBay for this game and dragging out my Wii. I hope this gets a remake similar to wonderful life

Even though I mostly go for the bachelors (mostly), since I'm a girl. I really like them in this game. Selena and Witch Princess are the ones I typically like the most. Though the Harvest Goddess has the prettiest design in this game too but she's always really difficult to marry in all the games from what I know. As for bachelors, I really like all of them but especially Jin. (Always loved the Doctor Bachelors in the games looking at you POOT). He was so cute and awkward. The bachelors were such a refreshing take in general as they were older-looking so props for that on the devs's part.

Animal Parade is definitely my favorite Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons game. I love all of the characters a lot. For the longest time Chase, Luke, and Gill were my favorites, but I genuinely like almost all the characters in this game. My current favorite is the Wizard. One of my favorite memories is definitely my friends, family, and I mispronouncing Fugue Forest every time we saw or it was mentioned it in the game.

I played this a few years after this came out, it was originally too short after tree of tranquility for me. But when I eventually did pick it up I put so many hours into this game!

My favorite Harvest Moon next to A Wonderful Life. Glad you are playing this. This is one of the best it's slow but worth it! I love Mineral Town to as well. Of course Magical Melody was fun back in day to. I have quite a few favorite bachelors,and bachelorettes in this game. They are so full of personality. Last game to have rival marriages and it was nice seeing there marriage and kid's to. Sad this was the last game for it but I love it so much. One of my all time favorite Harvest Moons ever! Wish could get a Switch remaster of it but it's great as is for now. To answer your question if I had to choose out of both bachelor and bachelorettes. My favorite bachelor is well between Gill, and Toby, and Jin. Honestly can't choose and my favorite bachelorette is well like the bachelor it's hard to choose I love Anissa,Kathy,Candace,Renee. Favorite character in general hard to choose. I love the bachelor's and bachlorettes the most I listed so also my favorite character's. It's hard for me to list all aspects I like of them. I like to many of them. If you ever play the normal DS Harvest Moon games, Sunshine Island's is the best to me. Hope you play it one day to.

Wizard is my favorite, pairing him with the player character they have a very sun and moon dynamic which I love. A lot of this game for me was just thinking about the characters' lives and relationships to each other, almost in a fanfiction sense. 😅 And with the map being so huge and it taking a few minutes to get anywhere, you get plenty of time to think.

MAN I hope Animal Parade is one that gets remade. It's so good!! I still like to replay this one a ton! My first time around I married Luke, and he's easily still my favorite boy. The only one who was optimistic and trying to fix things when everyone else was all doom and gloom

This game is nice for those that want a slower pace harvest moon game. Personally i enjoyed being able to do so much just in 1 day. I think each game has the right balance. Also my favorite character is the wizard

Favorite Animal Parade character? Wizard, my beloved. I've never chosen a spouse in a Harvest Moon or farming simulator game faster than him. If Animal Parade gets a remaster as a Story of Seasons game, I just hope that they treat him right. He's perfect as he is.
