I Played 400 Hours of Cata Classic... Is It Good Or Bad? | Cataclysm Classic 

I've played about 150 hours, have 3 level 85s and my guild is 11/13h. I'll say that the raiding experience has been awesome, and I definitely enjoy the heroics not requiring CC. The difficulty is set for normal people, not for people who are playing more than a full time job, which is better than any other expansions difficulty IMO.

good on you for being honest, and not letting the 400hours sunk cost falacy prevent you from giving an objective opinion.

The loot differences on 10 compared to 25 are pretty noticeable to be sure. After 5 clears, I have gained 1 overall Item level.

The best expansion that was wow, you don't have to wait for it to be processed daily to quest

I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t play original cata, but I’m having fun. My guild is slowly but surely progging heroics. We do 25m. Still my only gripe for the xpac is arch. I enjoy playing alts and worked extremely hard to get those weapons because of it. The system should have been tinkered with before release.

Don't forget this is the most alt friendly xpac in the game's history... if you enjoy leveling and playing several different toons it is a big plus.

Do you have any video about when to use defensive cooldowns in dungeons or raids? I just started tanking and I feel like Ive never pressed any defensive cooldowns😭. Maybe I need to know the instances better to preview the big dam. It is really hard to

Cataclysm was in my opinion the beginning of the end for wow. However I do think it did a lot of things right. I always liked (and enjoyed playing through again) the redesigned leveling zones.

I had a good time farming my pre-bis but got a tad burnt out and quit before the raids. I think I’ll come back for 4.1 because I love running 5-mans for upgrades.

**Update to my comment - This video has been very helpful because of how HONEST and just direct about the game WITHOUT the usual BS from certain content creators being "excessively positive" about every new launch. Summary i will just subscribe the game for ONE month, level a total of 2 characters and i won't be wasting my money (AND TIME) on WoW.** This is the first time i am watching this channel, i MAINLY watch big channels (by the same few content creators about WoW) Today - i actually make a decision if i will resubscribe to play WoW again because of Riyani.

You would have 3-4 decent heroic end bosses to progress on if you didn't sweat full bis playing 2 weeks time in a month lol

I main DK but I want to make an alt ranged dps, which one do you recommend to compliment my DK?

I like the heroics. Sure, with solid gear you can clear in 12m for some of them but there are still baddies out there pushing out 6K-8k DPS and carrying them doesn’t feel great. It would be nice to have a harder tier for heroics even if it only awarded gold or a travelers satchel or something just because guild groups or even some pugs just smash through it

for me cata and wotlk are the only S tier expansions

Mmos have always been staged progressive where old content becomes obsolete, your point on dungeon progression is weightless really. Once people are raiding they want to raid not do the same dungeons again but +2 lol.

10m logs are meaningless?

Streamers / RU-vidrs who are in these hardcore Guilds that clear all raid content in the first couple weeks by optimizing the ever living fuck out the game and then complain about the fact are just something else.

I feel like your opinion lost all its weight when you started talking about raiding because you came off kinda clueless. Randomly saying 10 man logs are meaningless with 0 justification just comes off as you upset you cant parse as well in 10 mans (at least based on how your parses are worse in 10 man from the video). Also as someone who raids 10 and 25 man the argument of 25 man drops more loot so it feels like the correct way to raid is wild. I would say right now 25 man feels more rewarding with loot but that would mean maybe 10 man loot should be adjusted to be on equal scale not just saying 25 man is the correct way to play.

Lmao man I can’t take you seriously after the “10M is meaningless”. So is 25man then. 10 man is way more punishing than 25 man, I’d say 25 is easier in many points. Showered in gear and CDs, as well with CRs, it’s a joke.

Over half my guild quit and most others are falling apart. The raid hardmodes are way way way too much. If i wanted something like this id go play retail. Raiding is dead to me. As a healer in wotlk i felt like if i played right i could carry any raid, but now i feel like im using a wet noodle.

Too simple and easy. Cleared 7/13 hc week 1. First Time Cata. Damn boring and underwhelming. Everone talked about how hard it will be and how many weeks we will need to clear 4 or more hcs... Have seen every hc and now i will wait for firelands.
