I rarely give advice unless it's to point out an obvious aiming error but here goes. - 4 things to consider that should improve confidence and scores 1. Develop a fairway finder with your Driver - maybe a bit of a lowish cut that will be shorter but in play 2. Develop a stinger with a long iron or hybrid 3. Put more time into the short game 4. Par 3 aren't easy - look at the top pros who make their scores on Par 5s, not Par 3s. Saw a stat that Tiger is over par on Augusta Par 3s when he was winning. Happy golfing

Lee swing the club as you do when practicing, don’t try to play shots you are not comfortable with. As you practice more you will become more comfortable and confident in your swing. Mental strength is key to playing well consistently.

You are to hard on yourself mate. You are doing fine but I always feel like you are working on 5-7 different things at once. I would rather work on 1-2 things and ignore everything else. And you did deserve the par on the first par 3. Keep working Lee 💪💪

Lee, I ended up turning the volume down and watched you play. I know you want to improve, and we all do, but don't be so hard on yourself. You have game, enjoy it . Whitsand looks wonderful. Cheers from Texas 🤠⛳🏌️

Lee, I noticed that your alignment, feet and shoulders were open, left of target on many of the shots that you were unhappy with.I have the same issue when I am so focused on ball strike. I skip over proper alignment, often leaving feet or shoulders open. You might find your turn frees up with better alignment.

Hello friend on your 15 hole tee off is no a down slope so try to tee up a little so that your 3 wood can hit the ball in the center yes you are trying to rotate but ball will still launch low remember so high the tee and hit...and also I have noticed one thing that you are missing on both sides which is again wrong you should try to miss one side which means draw or fade the ball with all your clubs including driver fix that first what my suggestion start try to fade the ball or cut you will lose some distance but you will have control over the ball why so because on previous whole when you hit your 7 iron I taught that you are going to cut or fade the ball inside you pulled the ball on left far away from the whole fade or cut would be in the green...thanks for reading..

That drivable hole where you went OOB maybe change your approach to the hole like 3 iron hybrid or a wood
@nathanmills1171
@nathanmills1171 Год назад
You might reply “well it’s RU-vid golf” if you want to get better then you need to think your way around a course. You’ve hit driver most holes there my round I normally hit driver 3/4 times as I can use 3 wood and 3i to get my in good places. Your not a RU-vidr golfer so you don’t need to try impress us by driving a green. Your a pro and remember that 😊
@LWG
@LWG Год назад
no your right and has nothing to do with RU-vid and everything to do with it being a birdie opportunity, but by using driver I bring danger into play.
@nathanmills1171
@nathanmills1171 Год назад
Maybe do a 4 hole vlog playing a hybrid of the tee instead of driver see how that goes.

Unrealistic expectations - extreme disappointment at shot - beat yourself up - convince yourself you are worse than you are as you approach next shot - think about shot in most negative way possible…..in the nicest possible way this video is a brilliant lesson in how not to approach golf. There can’t be any benefit in going about it this way
@LWG
@LWG Год назад
There isn’t a benefit. But I’m not afraid to show how I feel or play when confidence is low. What it will hopefully show is how I progress over the season as I use different methods to improve

Having just watched this video it’s definitely the 6 inches between your ears that’s the issue! Talking yourself out of shots before you have even hit them! I can imagine being a pro is quite a bit of pressure as everybody just expects you to hit good shots all of the time but that’s not realistic! Our pro at our course has been putting his scores in on the WHS system over the last 12 months! He’s now off 3.5!! Golf is not easy! Keep going you will get there.

Talking yourself into a lot of these shots as you say. The mental game is so hard but I have seen you hit absolutely ludicrously good shots when we have played together, it's how to bottle the feeling of those.

You're so close Lee. Seriously, not sure how you do it with filmin' etc. lol. FWIW as a casual obsesrver: you need a PRESHOTROUTINE that is exactly the same every. single. time. Second: Tempo/timing. I like a song in my head or a phrase and link it to Number One, above. You're making good decisions, maybe try working on shots out of rough with hybrid like a choke down puncher? With your putting you can be a pro, no sweat man.

@waynedouglas256
@waynedouglas256 Год назад
I'm not being nasty, but i think you hit the nail on the head. You aren't good enough to play in pro events. Most have the ability to play well and get birdies and pars, but it's about being consistent. Too keen to get to pro status instead of working at getting to scratch or a plus handicap first
@LWG
@LWG Год назад
I didn’t turn pro to play in pro events. I play in them because I have too. I’ve had some ok results in them but yes consistency is not there. That’s where the good pros in our area differ to me. There bad days are 5-7 over mine are into mid teens. But they have been doing it for years. I’m in year 2. So some perspective also needs to be taken.

@stevewilliams190

On the hole you got a 7 why didn’t you just hit a 50 or a chippy wedge rather than relying on a full 54, especially in the wind.
@si777
@si777 Год назад
Very short sample here but with the bad holes you'd say what not to do all the time. Like don't do this don't do that. I used to be like this as well then just though screw I'm going to focus on the stuff I want to do. So instead if you're pitching over water everyone's thought is don't land this short instead of focusing on where you want to land this ball and how you want this shot to come out. Overtime you'll be faced with this short again and again and then you'll be like "what water". When you birdied that hole I don't think you said anything negative and it was just all positive. Lastly what helped me with thinking in a positive way was actually saying, so what if I chunk it or blade it over the back etc etc, I'll deal with that if it happens. Obviously easier said than done it will take time but just keep focusing on what your intent is vs not what you don't want to do as that's the last thing you'd want to be doing.
@LWG

@tonyclark809
@tonyclark809 Год назад
OMG - How hard are you on yourself. Hole 1 - 40 yd chip. You were so disappointed with how short you was. 0 Handicapper will on average land 16.3 feet away from the pin (longer than yours) and 27% would up and down this. 11th hole - when putting a scratch golfer will make a 10 foot putt 33% of the time // 15 foot is 21%. On your 5th hole you talked yourself out of the tee shot - by saying you would end up fatting a wedge before you even played your tee shot. And there were so many more examples out there. Have a read of "The Four Foundations of Golf" or something by Bob Rotella. I think if you managed your game a little better, by removing some of your expectations and built a more positive mindset will so help. We are all experts, but sitting on the side-lines I see you shooting more scores if you wanted :)

You are so negative in your outlook. You are living the dream working with dan and co, making golf content. And having the chance to become a pro is unreal. I know people who would swap for your life in a heart beat ( minus the ham sandwiches) If you cant see the opportunity you have then wow. Stick with it but change your attitude to much more confident and upbeat. 👍
