32:56 see, this is why I love this game. Out of all the paper Mario games we have, this one is probably the only one to just kill off a companion that fast. The serious tone of this and how that action had a consequence really reasonates with me. I mean, normally you’d just expect some funny humorous line where it was just like “Bobby blew himself up into the sky and landed back down perfectly fine” but no, he’s dead, like dead dead.

Oh no the mass produced bomb character exploded himself. Also it doesn't really make much sense because plenty of bomb characters in Paper Mario blow up and are just fine.

@@yagirlmayalazarus6713 The best explanation for this is probably that there's simply 2 different paper mario universes: Everything up to Super Paper Mario, and Post Super Paper Mario. Everything up to super paper mario didn't have the new design philosophy of every NPC being standardized. And it's also those which had reusable bob-ombs.

A year later, and I have to say, Origami King holds up. Currently on my second playthrough. I have beaten all Paper Marios. I have not done a second play through of Super, Sticker Star, or Color Splash. Only the first 2. So imho, Origami King did what Color Splash was trying to do. Here's to hoping a step back in the right direction leads to a step back to what worked in the first place.

@@paulgentili1425 I mean, you could choose to look at it with only those factors. The story, imo, was fun, entertaining, and as an adult the humor even got some chuckles out of me from time to time. The battling was a different system, but familiar with the timed a buttons. Also, if you took the time to actually read my comment, you would also know I said it's a step in the right direction. I didn't say it was the Paper Mario game we've been pining for since the GameCube.

Imma be honest, I had probably as much trouble as you facing the Vellumentals, strictly because I kept going into each fight blind and relied on the hint spots on the battle ring. Hearing you say "I didn't know I could change equipment during battle" made me realize I never knew that either, and played through the entire game without doing that once.

Color splash is actually pretty good I've played it myself. Sure there are some tedious aspects, but it brings some cool stuff to the franchise. On another note, I've never played sticker star and probably never will.

I remember 100% this game.. it took three days after beating it. This is a very wonderful game, and I’m glad to see you play all of it! Possible Spoiler Warning! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sorry I’m advance, imma rant a little! For me, completing the game was worth the small change at the end. I saved that change via the save video option on the switch, and I’m proud of it. I loved the game dearly, but some of the requirements were a hassle to get. It really just depends on the need to complete games inside of a person.

People say since there’s no experience what’s the point of fighting, in my opinion if you can make the fighting fun, then it’s worth it And in my opinion I lik the puzzle styled battles, And yea I didn’t seek out every possible battle in the game but I had fun doing the battles

People just wanted a return to form for Paper Mario, we're sick of seeing nothing but Paper Toads (all of which have no unique designs), completely pointless changes to the battle system, no reason to even battle if there's no EXP, endless paper jokes, HEAVY emphasis on the fact that the game has "paper" in the title, durability systems, and useless companions. Eh at least we have Bug Fables.

If the game had this story but the battle system from thousand year door fewer people would complain.
