I Played EVE Vanguard and it's Really Good 

are you sure its an extraction shooter, i thought since EvE Online has large scale massive battles, this game should benefit from that too not just be an extraction shooter lol

Imagine being able to launch FPS incursions into peoples ships in EVE without their consent... Someone flying around in their Vexor, unaware that a 64 player fight is taking place on their ship in a different game, when suddenly their screen goes black and their ship explodes because they (the pilot) got shot in the head in Vanguard 😆😆😆

@@RedcoatViking_Officialwould be cool, but do not forget that player ships in EvE are only piloted by a single capsule Pilot so there won’t be any kind of crew with the exception of the capsule pilot.

I didn't try it but I doubt it, at least right now. Most of the game isn't implemented yet and since it's a PC only game gamepads probably aren't a priority.

Nah, free to play always brings in hackers and cheaters. Every ftp game out there is rife with cheaters. They need to make it subscription based and track who's playing to stop the majority of cheaters.

People have no issue paying for Tarkov. Why would anyone have an issue with paying for a game that's worth playing? FTP just means a metric fuck-ton of microtransactions.

I'm pretty sure Omega was only required to access this playtest, because it was a playtest. To my knowledge, CCP hasn't talked even a little bit about how Vanguard will be monetized on release.

I completely disagree. I think what will make or break it is if the gameplay is interesting enough for non-EVE fans to want to play it. I think any way they tie it into the space affairs will probably just end up being a neat bonus. Though obviously for us fans of EVE we want to see as interesting of an integration as possible. Just my take though.

I find pretty insane that you thought you were making a good point by kicking open doors, but sure, also while we are at it let's insist on the fact that the game need to work properly at release and not crash all the time, right? Because that's also very important. So yeah, ofc the game need to be accessible to non eve player (btw, what I said was that the game needed to be tied to Even online events (like say, your Vaguard mission is part of factional warefare, or your loot is sold on the eve market or even the game is something probed by an explo which then sold it on the market), which isn't the same than to say it should require you to be a even player to enjoy it. The point is that this game whole purpose is to expend Eve Online, specifically by making it an approachable entry point for new players to the Eve universe, otherwise it would be a total waste of ressources from CCP.

We’ve kinda known that since before Dust ended. Legion was close but wasn’t Dust, none of the other attempts would’ve been as close as Legion was to Dust either. I’m just hoping there’s enough to capture the old fun of DUST. Would love to see our little cabins and MCCs again.

that's my thoughts to, Isk should be the currency if its going to be integrated into the base game

Since 'isk' is in-universe, they'd likely have trouble keeping the numbers reasonable. "So, you're telling me I can either buy an ENTIRE WARP-CAPABLE DESTROYER, massing 1.5M kg, for 1M ISK... or a scope for this gun." 10K ISK gets you a warp-capable shuttle at least, with pod interface. The numbers would have to be so small as to be laughable.

Additionally ISK is not the only currency in lore anyways, everyday citizens use national currencies for transactions, obviously. A new currency wouldn't be out of place in EVE.

ISK is a supercurrency used only in space. We were joking about it in the Eve Uni discord and someone dug up an official source that said your average household saves up ~10,000 isk worth of currency in an entire GENERATION. So the in-game estimated market value of an EVE Corvette(The ships you get for free to make sure you're never completely unable to play, for anyone unaware) is enough money to retire on groundside if you could liquidate it.

It's not (yet). If It's like EVE it will be awesome when it comes out and then gradually get destroyed by skins and microtransactions over time, but if you can get in during the fun phase it will be good :P

I was around and thought Dust 514 sucked, not least because they released it exclusively on PS3 at the end of its life cycle when their existing audience was on PC, but also because very few of the originally promised integration features just never came to life. Vanguard is so early in development nobody can say for certain what it will be like or whether or not it's any good, so I'll just wait and see! Either way it doesn't really matter, if it's good I'll play it, if it isn't then I won't, as a customer, I can't lose! :)

Well you can get a feel for the core gameplay mechanics, the weapon feel, the movement, the visuals. The core gameplay stuff is there, it just needs to be expanded on, but that's how it is with games that are still being developed. You're basically saying "this unfinished product isn't finished" and saying it doesn't look promising because of it...

Not really. Some fundamental portions of an extraction game are missing. The out of game economy and loadouts are pretty fundamental. What we do see is good. But not nearly enough to judge whether it will have any kind of lasting appeal.
