Ultimate Ninja Impact is basically Naruto STORM on the PSP, down to the heavy focus on story telling, amazing animations with QTSes and the Star System, and the open area fighter gameplay.
Heroes 3 actually being the fifth entry the main Ultimate Ninja series in Japan actually makes a lot of sense. The PS3 took a long time to catch on in Japan, the 360 was never really a hit, but the PSP and DS dominated over there. There are quite a few series that had their mainline entries exclusively on handhelds, including Shining Force and even Dragon Quest
I'm really nostalgic for the PSP Naruto games. The PSP was the only console I had growing up and Ultimate Ninja Heroes was the earliest game I remember playing. The game got me acquainted with the series but Ultimate Ninja Impact got me hooked on Naruto and Anime as a whole. Impact had so much story in it and I loved watching the ultimate battle cutscenes! But yeah, those games really mean a lot to me.
14:53 - 14:59 "Collecting all of them in a single level gives you big bonus points. Collecting all of them in a single level gives you big points bonus" 😂
When you mentioned scrolls being used to create different rooms in Mugenjo Mode I thought to myself "wait aren't these just Chain of Memories room cards?" but then Jiraiya's Reverse/Rebirth sealed the deal.
OHH GOD Ultimate Ninja Impact! where to even begin, the game was basically a childhood staple throughout my middle school and early high school, I remember sweating my ass trying to do my best to get all the stars in the finishing cutscenes to unlock them
Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2. I played that game and beat it on my cousin's PSP in high school. God, it was fun. UN Impact was a fantastic send-off as the final game on the PSP Thanks for Part 2! Ur videos are quality!
I really enjoyed UNH2 and 3's gameplay and style but Ultimate Ninja Impact is just something else. The gameplay is amazingly fun and the card pieces thing scratches my completionist tick just right. Not to mention it goes through the entire Shippuden story from Kazekage retrieval arc to the 5KS arc with those pretty visual novel cutscenes. Maybe I sound like an old fart when I say this but modern Anime games could NEVER be as fun because nobody on the team puts this much soul and effort into them anymore... or maybe I'm just being nostalgic. In any case, thanks for uploading! I'm really glad I got to enjoy Naruto and Dragon Ball not just with the weekly episodes/chapters but also through all the great games from RPGs to fighters. It feels good to read all the comments about how so many other people from different parts of the world were able to enjoy the same experience. I love all of you lmao.
The last game kinda made me want to see you tackle the Dynasty Warriors franchise, which I would LOVE, since I'm a huge fan of the entire Musou main series =D
I remember dumping 15-20 hours into both Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2 and Ultimate Ninja Impact years ago. I started them up out of boredom and ended up enjoying both titles a lot. They were both fresh experiences for me compared to more recent Naruto games.
Honestly Heroes 2 is my second favorite game of all time. The story is why. The story of Princess Dusk was so tragic....And it left an impact. I didn't expect that from a game like that.
I remember borrowing my friends psp while on a trip and he had this game on it and I was so obsessed with it, I remember the story being genuinely good and had a huge impact on me like you it was so unexpected. I need to play this again ngl.
Holy shit, surprised and happy to see PSP is still getting the love it deserves, I still play heroes 3 and impact DAILY on my iPhone, (ppsspp) these games was definitely ahead of it’s time, it’s still a blast and fun to play until this the day.
Impact was basically the best way to experience Naruto in game form for the longest time. I still argue that you have to combine Storm 3&4 to even get close to it. The Warriors style gameplay + real boss battles means it had more variety than the others, but it didn't sacrifice the story for it either. It's so in-depth and doesn't skip anything important up to the part where it stops. It has so many interesting ideas for game modes and oozes effort to the point where it is a miracle that it even fit on the PSP.
Frfr I remember farming "Madara" to max level for the hell of it just from how much I enjoyed playing the game, I'd love to see a game like it but on a main console, it would be great especially if it covered at least the entirety of shippuden but Ideally all the way from the start of the original to the end of Shippuden
Loving the videos Niosai! Wanted to add, in case you weren't told in the Discord, that Ultimate Ninja Impact came out between Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and 3. Hence why it covers so much of the story and why it has all those quick time events. Despite the title, it's actually a spin-off of the Ultimate Ninja Storm series. That's why it has so many similar mechanics and gameplay, similarly-styled boss fights, and the Dynasty Warriors type gameplay is later implemented in Storm 3!
I've probably put over 100 hours into ultimate Ninja impact it is by far one of the best mobile Naruto games I would totally love to see a mobile port or something along the lines of that.
As a kid, I saw footage of Heroes 2 (just Heroes in Japan) and asked for Heroes when it came out, only to find out they were different games. I also remember being SO HYPED for 3 because it was technically Ultimate Ninja 6 in Japan! As someone who was bummed out the U.S skipped UN5, I was so excited back then.
YES! Ultimate Ninja Impact is literally my childhood! I've been playing this back in the day and replaying this game over and over as a kid. I really enjoyed it then. The only pet peeve on mine is some dialogues are repeating when fighting and it gets annoying over time.
Impact was my absolute favorite game to play, the content was really dense and the quicktime events were my favorite part as I didnt have a ps3 to enjoy the storm games that had cinematics like it
At the time, Naruto Shippuden anime wasn't all that easily available to me, so I learned about some parts of the story by playing these games. It was fun because every Ultimate Shippuden title pushed the story farther or at least expanded it a bit. Ultimate Ninja 4 added non-canon pre-Shippuuden training bit and lasted up to Naruto's early fight with Deidara and Itachi. Ultimate Ninja 5 lasted up to the Orochimaru's hideout and first Naruto's meeting with Sasuke in Shippuden. And that's when I got my PSP. Imagine my surprise when I learned that Ultimate Ninja series isn't dead and in fact is continued on PSP. Ninja Heroes 3 not just added entire new non-canon story, it further expanded the original, up to the Pain fight and Konoha destruction. Ninja Impact maybe the completely different experience but I still love it. Although I would be more happy if 1 on 1 fights weren't so bland and instead emulated Ninja Storm 1 on 1 fights. But at least we got even further in the story up to the Danzo fight.
Love your vids man keep them up,it's very entertaining and a great way to get game recommendations.Theres one thing tho ,many people or atleast people ik consider ultimate ninja impact part of the storm series(Well the basis) or its own series completely.
Absolutely loved the video. Didn't know about these games, so I definitely will check some of these out. If you decide to cover the Naruto Clash of Ninja / Gekitou Ninja Taisen games, here's a quick guide. As a heads up, most of the games are region-exclusive, with Clash of Ninja 1 and 2 being the only ones to release worldwide. I recomend playing the American versions of Clash of Ninja 1, 2, and the Revolution games, due to being 60fps and having English voices. Clash of Ninja 1 and 2: Gamecube games, all regions. Based on the original Naruto series. Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 and 4: Gamecube games, Japan only. Based on the original Naruto series. Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX, EX2 and EX3: Wii games, Japan only. Based on Naruto Shippuden Clash of Ninja Revolution: Wii game, outside Japan only. A hevily modified port of Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3, with gameplay similar to the EX games. Clash of Ninja Revolution 2: Wii game, outside Japan only. Original story, pre timeskip. Bando, Kagura, Komachi and Towa were made specifically for this game and Revolution 3. Clash of Ninja Revolution 3: Wii game, outside Japan only. Original story, set during Shippuden. Features the original characters from Revolution 2. Gekitou Ninja Taisen Special: Wii game, Japan only. Features characters from Shippuden. The final Clash of Ninja / Gekitou Ninja Taisen game released. Fun fact: The Clash of Ninja / Gelitou Ninja Taisen games were made by 8ing, who also made the Bloody Roar series and Tatsunoko vs Capcom, just to name a few games.
Loved the video, but im really sorry that you didn't reviewed Naruto Shippuden Legends Akatsuki Rising, that game is really something special, the combat is not as liberating as Ultimate Ninja Impact but I love the soul of this PSP game, is quite densse it adds some RPG elements and it works soo well with the world of Naruto, the side missions are pretty cool as well.
I stayed up late last night, and when I saw this I tried watching it, but I was so tired so you got a good amount of watch time from me 🤣 I replayed it 4x lmao
finished the previous episode last night and was surprised you uploaded today! keep up the good work. im knee-deep in wanting Naruto content right now, and having only played the demo ver. of 3 on PSP long ago, this brought back nostalgia of having a PSP for the first time. im like "hey..i remember that!" also, new subscriber!
*CENSORED TO BUILD ANTICIPATION* lol I love this video, it takes me back, I played all of these games and mostly Impact. Loved every moment of it, especially when I went crazy with the Susanoo. I even managed to play the Story mode mission against Itachi with Sasukes Susanoo, it was epic.
These games (especially the first two) were pretty much my introduction to naruto. I have a ton of nostalgia for them. I played 3 a lot but felt like the story was unnecessarily long and the gameplay was watered down. After that I just stuck with the storm games
I bumped into this channel just randomly, but I love it like hell! This type of content is something I'm never tired of watching. Brings back a lot of memories and gives me a good vibe. Keep up the good work!
Love from Russia for your vids! Heroes series is my childhood. Loved the battle system, the fact that it has so many characters with multiple combos was really cool because it has so many techniques from the anime (in Impact, for example,.you can unlock new techniques, new ultimate techniques and transformation using cards!). When impact came out i was so hyped up cause its basically a storm game which i could finally play!
Dude I love your videos. They are always well made and your critiques are mostly fair. You come into the games not as a reviewer but someone that wants to enjoy games. Keep up the good work. Just have fun.
I love the PS2 era when it comes to classic ultimate ninja but impact carriers the PSP for just how unique it is and as a fan of Dynasty/Samurai Warriors it made me happy.
The first Heroes game being a modified Western exclusive version reminds me of those One Piece Grand Battle and Grand Adventure games. Anyway, would love to see a video on One Piece games. 😁
Interestingly, UNH2 has a number of differences with its Japanese counterpart, Narutimate Portable. NP uses UN2 combo strings and jutsus (example: Naruto has his standard one-man combos, and uses Shadow Wind Bomb and Sexy Jutsu), while UNH2 uses UN3-like movesets (Naruto attacks using his shadow clones, and has the chargeable Rasengan along with his Ninja Handbook). In addition, Heroes mode is non-existant in the Japanese version.
I totally didn't buy a PSP all those years ago just to get the Naruto games on there. Nope. But in all seriousness, this really takes me back! Thanks you for taking me down memory lane!
I've played the PS2 games a lot and I've become interested in the PSP ones recently because I never got to play them and my PSP died. It's so good to have a emulator on my pc now!
I'm pretty sure Ultimate Ninja Heroes 1 only came out in the west and the second game we got was the first one released in Japan, because we weren't as far in the Anime story-wise
LOL the KH COM reference, I was thinking about this the whole time! Keep up the great work, see ya soon when you'll have 1m subs. SOON edit: at 14:52 you made a montage mistake I think, but not important
@@Niosai Do you plan on making a video about Kingdom Hearts by the way? "I've played every KH games.." It would be awesome, but also it's a pretty complicated serie and way less known so I would understand if you do not. Also you could do a Spyro or Crash Bandicoot video, I think it would fit perfectly. And thanks for replying to my earlier comment, you're amazing.
@@maxime9211 @Maxime I 100% plan on making a Kingdom Hearts video. Kingdom Hearts is actually my #1 favorite game series ever. In fact, there's already a script that's partially done, it's just a matter of how much time it'll take to replay through every game. 😅 Spyro and Crash are on the list :)
Bro, a dynasty warriors Naruto game would be amazing, playing as Madara and plowing through the shinobi alliance like in the 4th ninja war would be amazing
