Can't "pirate" something that isn't available for sale anywhere. You're taking zero dollars away from a company that's making zero dollars on something they aren't making available. So no one should have any problems with pirating something under these specific circumstances.
It's wild because I'm squarely in the demographic that would *absolutely* pay for this, as I assume many are. I've always wanted to play and still plan to!
@@coolertuep It was full of potential, especially with the advancement in vr nowadays. Maybe not this game specifically, as you said reworking it would be costly. But a multiplayer marvel game dropping now, would do amazing
Considering I bought the Rift bundle that came with this, I don’t consider it to be pirating to get back what I originally paid for. I’m shocked a class action lawyer hasn’t jumped all over this one.
@@Astro-LlamaMy statement was more of thought about things as of late. I think it was in Europe where some people had purchased digital movies. One I remember was John Wick. That company lost its licenses deal and all the digital movies purchased through that site the people lost them. It just made me think of the world economic forum statement of you will own nothing nothing and be happy. I'm a big collector of physical media and its things like this that makes me hate that companies are ditching physical media. Although the majority of VR IP is digital.
Community run private servers for Echo Arena so I am sure there is a way to do it for this game also… This looks like another vr game that was shut down that deserves to be preserved as part of vr gaming history
@@gatgat01the license expired. Also if you had bought it you were able to get a refund regardless of when you purchased it. They said it had to be between a window of time but that was just BS so they could keep their money. All people needed to do was ask support for one
I search every handful of months to see if there's an easier way of playing this I would be forever in your debt if you made a tutorial video on how to get the files running. I purchased the game well before it was removed but I didn't have a headset yet so I never got the chance.
I have been very outspoken about how disappointed I was having this game taken away from me, after paying £40 I would do anything to get another chance to play this game again.

Lol this wouldn't play on quest without a lot of work. They would probably need to rebuild a lot of stuff to make it work.. sad they took it away regardless. Maybe quest 5 can play it and maybe they will revisit it at that point??
It would look 10 times as ugly then. The had quest is still no where near the power needed for something to look this good. See diffrence between asgard's wrath1 on pc vs part 2 on quest
I quit playing this game because of the Rift cords connected to my PC. I would totally play it now because wireless options now. Looks so beautiful because of the upgraded hardware now. Surely someone has connections to the dev team or could reach out to see why they took it offline. And to see how Deadpool & Wolverine dominated at the box office it seems like a no brainer to re-release it.
If buying isn't owning then piracy isn't theft..... If they took the game away from people who bought it they deserve to have all of their games pirated in my opinion, personally I'll never support a company that does that.
I was so sad after getting the Quest 2 that I wouldn't be able to play this game. I pretty much forgot about it, but that's awesome that you got to play the prologue and check out the characters! I've been playing on my Quest 3 a ton since October, I wish they could rerelease the game again, it looks like it could be one of the best games on Quest. There's so much content too, with all of the maps and characters. Imagine if there was like a campaign or something, that would be sick.
You can only play the prologue the rest of the game need a server but since they shut it down its impossible to access the game unless someone can emulate the server or bypass it
BMF can only play the intro, not the single player game, for that the single player has to get a signal from the server to continue but that server is closed, if you look closely in his movie you see 0.23 that he uses the revive injector and gammon to start the game. the prolouge (intro) only lasts 5 minutes and you can't get any further. until someone invents it to restart the single player, so you can't do anything more than what you see in the movie.
Its not really piracy if its not available anywhere to purchase. It would be great if you could share how you got it working though. And if anyone knows where I can find the files, please do let me know. I'd love to try this out!
Truly amazing. Unfortunately I'm unable to play in first person so I don't know how VR would effect me. But I would imagine the video just doesn't do a good justice unless you wear it. The way you explained it, makes me think of what virtual reality is supposed to feel like. Like you're actually inside the game. Truly remarkable to see, how much technology has progressed over the years.
It would be great if someone made a few servers to connect to. In the mean time I think everyone writing emails to the company that made it could help bring an updated version back
buy the private server version of rookie sideloader PCVR, since the servers were shut down, and boom. every pcvr game free at the cost of supporting the rookie servers
I really hope marvel gives this game a 2nd chance & brings it back with cross platform multiplayer between standalone & pcvr. This looks like such a fun game to play & Im sad I missed out on it when it wasn't shut down
This game was so fun, but I think it just came out way too early. The cord with the Original Rift and having to face the external cameras made it frustrating at times. I'm super shocked Oculus doesn't release this for Quest 3, which could probably run it if they downgraded the graphics a bit. I was so upset when they just removed it from my library! There was nothing like being the Hulk! I remember how cool the room scale was to be Hulk and play with other players who were much smaller then me. It made me actually laugh out loud when I first played!
Man this pains me😢 but I also like how you can play as the biggest marvel fan I’m so disappointed when I figured out that I couldn’t play I was destroyed😔but I hope ur channel keeps on growing dude
The closest i ever got to play a game like this, well actually nothing like this really but good fun all the same was Avengers unite on the xbox 360 kinect....lol.
I feel like not telling people where you got the game is actually worse because people will go searching for it and likely get a bunch of viruses since they don’t now the correct legit website

Somebody should really put the files out there since the game can no longer be purchased to see if they can figure out how to play it. Looks like it would be a ton of fun

I'm just trying to understand the point at 0:58 where you got Base Blitz running first. I'd appreciate it if you could shed some light on this. 🙏
Highlights my main issue with VR. Old games are visually more appealing than stuff coming out now. To many low polygon games and not enough visual showcases
I cannot for the life of me understand why this was delisted so early. Even if it was a "bad game" there was still nothing else Marvel-related on the store like it. I feel like it would've blown up in popularity nowadays bc the Meta Quest is in more people's hands.
that fact that you wont share how we can play this is just a stab in the back for those of us that paid for it and had it taken away.. my son still asks me about this game and i wish i could have it for him, it isnt piracy as its not available any more its worse the fact that it was taken away from us for no reason not even single player was left.
If you think there’s nothing they can do to stop you from playing certain physical media when you want, you’re uninformed. You only really own the license there too. You’ve just got your files stored slightly differently than a physical disc does. That said, it’s true that you can usually share more easily with physical media. They could for sure issue updates to change that fact at any time that they want to though. It would be fairly easy to brick a disc for you or to keep track of which machines are running which discs or cards. Once they pull either of these moves, most of us feel like any ethical qualms about just rooting and running “backups” goes out the window.
