Thank you for watching, I started my ff15 journey this year in 2022 after trying to get into it once before last year and leaving it, I really was not expecting to like it as much as I did and I think after this I need to invest in better make up because this game just melted it off from crying so much (nothing new there with me crying all the time but still)

Originally, choosing for Ardyn to defy his fate would have led to the DLCs for Aranea, Luna and Noctis. Unfortunately, those DLCs were cancelled and turned into a book.

I love how in Ardyn's DLC, his revenge goes to the lengths of, "My brother's not dead enough. Come back to life Somnus, just so I can kill you again!" It's like hanging-up on someone, then calling them just so you can hang-up on them again, because it wasn't enough. I can respect that.

I know you said that iggy was seeing noct as his young self, but did you notice that in his glasses there's a reflection of noctis but it's pre time skip noctis because iggy never got to see the post time skip noctis

@@DJAB87 Honestly, I was hoping that if you chose to resist fate, you'd get a secret final boss against Bahamut... I'm sure that would've been the ending to the DLC had they continued making them and it would've been so satisfying to show the finger to the gods and their prophecy.

Ignis' dlc is so good. If only this game wasn't 100+ gigs, I'd be more willing to redownload it for another run.

Ignis’s DLC is goddamn untouchable, it’s so good. I actually got to meet the director for Episode Ignis at PAX East after it came out while cosplaying Iggy. We got to meet him and he greeted me and my friend (cosplaying Noctis) by name 😭

I really wish we got Episode Aranea and Episode Lunafreya because those are characters I really wanna know more about. Not missing Episode Noctis too much though because that was gonna basically be "give us money and everyone lives" based on the synopsis I heard

The music for Episode Ignis was done by Yasunori Mitsuda, so if that was your jam then Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Xenosaga 1 and 2, and the ending theme of Xenoblade 1 would by right up your alley

@@shikitohno47 The whole Blood and Darkness thing was a bit odd at first, but it's not like him choosing to flip the bird at Bahamut and everyone else wasn't unwarranted and seeing how Somnus acted, I fully support Ardyn kicking him to the curb a bunch Can't say anything about the actual pacing of the DLC episode, but calling people edgy for sympathizing/supporting and liking Ardyn is a bit silly to me

What an awesome watch! The 'which FF character needs a hug' part and the fright montage was so funny! Also, episode Ardyn's back story definately solidifies him as one of the best atagonists in a FF series. A misunderstood saviour who was burdened with the starscourge and fate's destiny. Great video. If you have the time, you can also try reading the Dawn of the Future novel which follows the "Resist your fate" choice. The stories in there is the second set of DLC's for the game that were cancelled.

100%-ing this game was a royal pain, especially because of the DLC. They add depth to the characters which is nice (especially ignis) but man were they a pain to get the achievements for. Gladio's episode in particular took me more than a dozen attempts.

Amazing work and video. I commented on the last video but damn they just keep getting better. Sadly, I never got to finish the Ardyn episode as my Xbox died. This brought me true closure for the series, and it will stay eternal in my thoughts as among my favorite games. It shall only be haunted by Ardyn's monster face being replaced by the tear-stricken Frankie lol (side note and question for others- Did Frankie do the Extra fight option for Episode Gladio on the stream?)

Good shit, Frankie. Great editing! Loved your transitions. This was also a reminder of how great that season pass was. On the other hand, Dawn of the Future has got to be a social experiment…or pure meta nihilism. it may be good insight into Ardyn’s thinking but it is not a great insight into Reality.

That's not exactly accurate, Ardyn's fate was already set before Somnus "betrayed" him. Ardyn was never meant to be king because he couldn't have fulfilled his destiny if he had been.

I remember when they added being able to fight as the others in the main game I pretty much stopped playing as Noct completely as the other were more fun in combat 😆

I've been in love with this game since they released the royal edition, but in those years since then, I have never heard the nickname "Gladdy Daddy" and damn does it fit 😂 But Mama Ignis is still my favorite character 😂 (speaking as the mother hen of my own friend group 😂😭)

in case you don’t know, bahamut is the true villain of Final Fantasy 15. and noctis, luna, aranaya, and ardyn team up against bahamut, and kill him. it’s in the book “Final Fantasy 15: Dawn of the Future” and it is PERFECTION

If it wasn't for the game director's choice to make Final Fantasy verses 13 into FFXV daring deployment of Final Fantasy verse 13 the game could have been so much better if all the DLC's could have been part of the main storyline and you could have explore insomnia as well as escape insomnia daring the invasion of Niflheim would have made insomnia's downfall more emotional and could have tied into FF13 that's a missed opportunity if I've ever seen one still a great game though

If you would complete the story from Gladio with an S. You would get him shirtless for the main game 😂. I don’t know if you know it. But there is an Anime ( 6 episodes i think ) on youtube for free and there is a movie that shows what happened in Insomnia while its fall. 😊

DId you see the short anime of this back story? so good but not sure where to find it legit now adays. All in all the Whole story of FF15 wasnt too bad, but they had to go and split it up into like 5 dlcs, 2 animes, 1 movie and leave out 3 DLCs that never got made. Shame

FFXV had many shortcomings, many things weren't realised because they were too ambitious, at times it leaned a bit too heavily into trying to be FFVII, and I'll never forgive Square for giving us XIII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns but not XV's season 2 DLC... but I'd be damned before I say that I didn't enjoy it. Ardyn is such a good villain. Literally Jesus and the Anti-Christ in one and the same character.
