Honestly wouldn’t mind this mode coming back if they would update and allow position changes of players and stuff. But I missed the story despite having to read all of it 😂
I remember the following years story didn't pretend this one didn't happen, they said "oh the big three tried to recreate banana boat and all got career ending injuries." Got to be the dumbest/best way to erase them lol
2K18 was my first 2K and I spent so many hours playing MyGM. Playing this and listening to my phone at the same time were some of the best hours in my life.
I’ve been remaking Jackson Baldwin every year since that time from 2K18. He was such a game changer along with the other two. Currently got a Seattle SuperSonics expansion series in 2K23 going with him running the show. His legend lives on, haha
Clique you should do a through the ages rebuild where you start in like 2k10 and build a team and transfer them into the next 2k each year and try to build teams w players who take big jumps between 2k games
The best mygm story they haven’t made one better than this imo. Also it’s wild that in 2k19 mygm they continued this story but it had all 3 of them apparently get career ending injuries recreating the banana boat
They should've had them assigned to different teams on the 1st year of GM in 2k19 & still had the storyline with Patterson & new rookies in the storyline.
As a Pittsburgher, Primantis is a real place (pronounced Per-Man-Teez) and the sandwiches are indeed amazing. The signature is adding coleslaw and fries on, as they did originally for truckers so they could eat a whole meal with one hand. Glad to see it made it in 2k!
The only thing I didn't like about this as a story is it seemed like they could've mixed some of the storylines (Owner selling, Terrible Assistant GM, Stacked draft) into 2-3 years and prolonged the story. Made the first year really interesting but they could've made the first couple years great.
i can watch clique all day no weirdo shit 😉🤫🫦😂😂i can do it sober, high, drunk, crossed, off the shroomies🍄crazy how everyone watching this has played more myleague and mygm than all that park bs cuz 2k jus gettin worse tbh but gotta stay true to the myleague n clique 🙏🏽🍃
It literally didn’t matter how bad you made your team. So long as you ensured that you got Jackson Baldwin, you would win multiple championships. I also remember getting a second round auto generated point guard in that draft named Dean Wade from Michigan State. He was an all-star. Numbers like Dame. I was always hoping he was a permanent member of the class but must not be.
I play it to this day. I saved the draft-class of the "three unicorns" plus Odell Sheppard and John Malkmus (who either are team-mates of Freddie Staples at UCLA or they come from Ohio St. and Arizona respectivelly in some other saves). Jackson Baldwin the MAN, MJ and LBJ into one...
One of these days somebody has to make a video with all the eggcorns (mispronunciations) Clique keeps barreling into. Seriously, though, great vid. I’ve heard a lot about the newer 2Ks being jank, but this still seems fun if you stay patient.
Video 213 of suggesting What If Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird were on the same team career simulation? Also what about a Shaq career re-simulation but he has a 99 in free throw and a 99 in drawn foul? Also what about if the best players from the 1984 draft (i.e. Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, & Alvin Robertson--a name lost in NBA history in my opinion, 4x all star, 2nd team all NBA, 1986 DPOY, 6x defensive team, 1986 Most Improved Player, 3x steals leader) were on the same team?
