Well the queen’s gambit declined is actually pawn to E6, what she played was the Slav defense. But she didn’t accept it so I guess it can be called a decline too lol
Wow i really enjoy this content a lot more than watching the 3 min blitz games. Because as a beginner it is much easier to follow your thoughts here, whereas in the blitz games i often dont understand why certain moves are played. So i would love to see a bit more content like this in the future. Thank you for the great content!
First time watching one of your videos and it was awesome. I truly loved how you provided the long term thought process. Very educational and helpful. You definitely gained a subscriber!!
Eric competes pretty regularly with human players at the 2400+ level but for whatever reason he was a bit nervous at the beginning of this video playing this engine. I found that a bit amusing. Awesome game Eric and very instructional.
I like how you actually explain stuff instead of just "takes, takes, takes, I go here, here, here, bishop e4, queen c8, checkmate, yeah, chat I think that's checkmate, oh wait is it checkmate? No maybe I'll just castle."
@@xirenzhang9126 TheFr3styler's comment is a reference to a meme template where a person says "Corporate needs to find a difference between the two picture".And another person says "its the same picture" r/woosh me
@@justaidil8525 yeah but who’s corporate? Is it like the human resource department relaying a message from the company to the intern? If so why call it corporate instead of something else like ‘the company’ or ‘the HR’
I forecast a low chance of winning for the Rosenator against older Beth Bot's. And the thumbnail is Epic as usual. How Eric manages to make his make up look better than Beth I will never know. The matching nail polish was just the icing on the thumbnail pose cake. 💅
They were all safe premoves that worked if she always played the best king move. If she doesnt, it still doesnt hang pieces, just might look silly because he could advance his Mate in x faster.
These are the videos we come to the Eric Rosen channel for. Queen's Gambit against the star of the Queen's Gambit, and it was actually an instructive game. Clickbait achieved!
This was an awesome video. That is really interesting how early you were able to see your win condition. That's what I often struggle with in chess, so this helped a lot. The bit after 15:25 was confusing as hell though lol. I have no idea how you think through the next moves that fast.
Amazing!!!..I am just a beginner..yet have been playing since I was a kid...TY Dad....Love the way you break the game down....at times you sound like you are in my head...Love that...other times you go way to fast for me....no problem though ..I just need to pause the video and then go back again several times....before I get it straight....TY for helping me become a better chess player....Miss Hamen has definitely got me back into this great game...
Hey Eric. I really like your videos. Usually im watching u n Levy n Danya n John. My current ratings on lichess: Bullet: 1341 Blitz: 1627 Rapid: 1884 Classical: 2038 Tactics: 2265 My goal is to be a titled player. I want to be FM. What is your recomendation? How can i reach this level? Thank you for the answer. Love your videos. Steven
By the way im 36 years old. Playin chess 4 years ago. Never have read a book n never had a teacher. What i know now its just by myself. Waiting for your answer.. Thank you any way.
The first video I watched of you I assumed (sorry sorry i know i know) you were arrogant and full of yourself. This was like 2 days ago , I just started and im like mega newb lmao so i kept watching anyway - but you turned out to be super humble- funny and actually SOOOO informative! Well play Mr eric. Sorry for misjuding from a few seconds worth of content.
It’s a little difficult to follow the move history because of the scroll position but at 23 did you consider Be2 to help activate the Nf3 that isn’t contributing much? That IMO brings it into the queenside fight. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.
you play new players and bump into this and that.. but this game is awesome to see the level at which someone at your level of chess needs to play ahead and determine moves in order to do well. This game was much better to see you play properly. Thank you
I like how more and more chess personalities are playing against engines. Yes, we already know that the best engines are better than the best humans, but it's interesting to see how far the humans can go up the ladder before it becomes to difficult. And props to the programmers of these new bots, a lot of them play pretty indistinguishable from human play.
queen's gambit on netflix may have renewed my obsession with chess after a period of down time, but it is eric rosen who has made me better and who keeps me on youtube until 4am watching him play.
Incredibly specific comment, but as someone who is learning chess I see, at 9:59 , Bd2 as a either a guaranteed mate in 2 if black moves the Knight anywhere OR keeps it stationary, with the only possible out being Kg7 to run away in which case at least you're guaranteed a knight with a response of f2. I don't presume to be good enough to see something an IM doesn't (at least not quite yet :), so could someone either tell me what I'm missing, or give me the enormous ego boost of saying "wait no you're right."
14:20 That's exactly what happened to me with the 10 year old Beth. I couldn't figure out how to formulate a checkmate. She kept going to the corners where I could only stalemate. 50 moves later and it was a draw.
Hi Eric, I saw a vid from a GM who said you can't close in your bishop with E3 pawn. Is there a reason you're doing this anyway? I'm a newb (1100 rating)
