Hello Edgar I have a set of these Voks Jagger IIs and I really like them. I am a bout a mid front gripper and gripped at the back of the bumpy bit and these were flying great for me. I found them to be about the most grippe darts I have ever had. you can group your darts . so I was wondering if you had any of the points on these darts get stuck in the grippe bumps and stop? I lost 7 60s in one match because the points were getting stuck in the bumps on the dart that was already in the 60 and stopping the dart dead, or flipping it sideways to the board and they fell to the floor. So I stopped using them. Too bad because I really liked them.

the spring loaded points are a heritage from the age of round and stapled wire boards. the idea was to decrease bounceouts on the wire.

Have you ever tried playing with the old 'Jim Pike' darts? Big old brass barrels, thick cane shafts and paper flights. Although in the early 70s we replaced the flights with the 'new plastic flights' As kids down the pub we couldn't afford tungsten in those days, so the old JP's were the heaviest alternative. No chance of a 180 though as two darts would completely fill the 'bed.' Mind you there was no chance of a 180 anyway, the way we played😁. Liked and subscribed.👍

Hi Matthew. Cheers from Canada eh. I’m surprised no one has heard of the hammerhead dart. Bottelsen makes them now but they may have been patented by someone else. I’m not sure. The spring loaded tip is meant to help when the tip hits the dead centre of the wire, it will retract slightly and then push forward again choosing one side of the wire or the other. A kind of second chance. Anyways love the channel Matthew. Keep up the good work and NEVER let an opponent psych you out. You can’t beat up someone that you think is tougher than you.

They’re manufactured by Voks in the US.

As Adam said they are from Volks Darts in the USA and they are called Jagger II the original Jagger darts had all of the grippi bump parts in a stereight line, the Jagger IIs have every 2nd row of gripi bumps offset by I think it is 37 deg. They are actually great darts I have a set of them in my collection. The moveable point is to prevent bounce outs theory is if you hit a wire the point will stop at the wire and the dart then hitting the point will drive the point past the wire and into the board. The other advantage is that the loose point is that the dart can spin on the point and allow flights to rotate out of the way of incoming darts and the dart has some mobility to move for the next dart to come in beside the first. They come in the moveable spring loaded steel point, a Fulcrum point that is moveable point not spring loaded, and a spring loaded soft tip, and fixed point steel tip. models. I really liked these darts they are well balanced and are the most grippy darts I have ever thrown. I was throwing well with then but I had a problem with them in that when I put a dart close enough to another dart like when going for a 180, the point would ride down the side of the dart and get stuck in the grip bumps and stop dead and fall or flip sideways against the board and fall on the floor. I lost 7 60s in one match because of it and stopped throwing the Jagger II darts that I really liked because of it.

Powerpoint Point. They were meant to help with bounce outs that the point would enter the board and then the dart behind it would push them into the board. More of a novelty than anything else

Hello, hey can u tell us why pdc players pick up darts from board with left hand if they throw with right why that?
@robertreader6539
@robertreader6539 4 года назад
I imagine because they need them in their left hand to hold before they put them in the right hand to throw
@jordaneep
@jordaneep 4 года назад
I've thought about this a lot. And I've come to the conclusion that (most) throw with their right arm and to help not wear out that arm as fast you would retrieve the darts with your left arm/hand. I started doing this and I found I like it
