Gotta say the semis look inevitable for the winner of MvG vs Littler. The only way to stop either of them for me is Chizzy pulling out a massive 110 average like he does every now and again

Even as a Littler fan I put him out in the first round because of his form in PC13 and 14.

Here's where I disagree with the computer: -Dimi gets to QF (he's in pretty good form and his record in blackpool is phenomenal) -Josh Rock gets out of the 2nd quarter, making it to the SF -Luke Woodhouse makes the QF (where he loses to Rock) -Wright beats Gilding (yucky game though) -Dobey beats Gando in R2 in the bottom quarter -Humphries beats Littler in the final That said I still have 3/4 of the same semifinalists as the computer, but that bottom quarter is an absolute bloodbath, and while I think Cross makes it through I think there's a very strong argument for 7/8 to get through. Only Ritchie Edhouse I don't think can make it through that quarter, yes he's in the form of his life but his record on TV is still shite, and Dobey has been a remarkably consistent high level performer for close to 2 years now. Dobey has made the QF in 7 of the last 12 major ranking tournaments (dating back to 2022 grand prix) and has not lost in the first round of any major tournament since that infamous loss to Cross at blackpool 2 years ago. I don't think Edhouse has a chance in that one (although I said the same about dolan vs mvg last year...)

I don't see a problem with section 2 1st round results. Not sure price wins that section though. A little concerned with littlers last pro tour. Humphries definitely favourite!!!!!

Not bad for a computer, my brain ofc has a bit more power. So man vs machine I say Rob Cross is the winner of the Matchplay. After putting in all the raw data along with some quality bacon and eggs the I now know the outcome.
