I played Xenoverse 2 for the first time in 2024 

Ah xv2 the game that has taken 8 years off my life

I'm genuinely happy to see someone get into this game that I've sunk so many years of my life into weather that's just playing causally or "speedrunning" pqs. hope you play more and have lots of fun!

XV2 in 2016 and XV2 in 2024 are two completely different games

Never played the first one but bought xenoverse 2 randomly on a sale on the switch and it immediately became (and still is) one of my most played games.

As tired of XV2 as people are (Or pretend to be), it's still a fun and big game to play. It's, as you said, a massive upgrade from XV1 in so many ways that people have forgotten. Yeah, the story mode for XV2 isn't really different from the first one. I'd recommend playing the Infinite History DLC. It's what XV2's story mode should've been.

Xv2 was my first (in depth play) dbz game since Budokai 2 on ps2 back in the day. So far this has been a blast!

Xenoverse 2 improved over the 1st game so much, I have no idea how I ever managed to play xenoverse 1 and seriously play it for as long as I did.

Honestly the hub world was so much better. And i love going through the subtle emoji quest. Depending on what characters say you can do a certain emote in front of them and it progress your interaction with them to unlock even more!

Pro tip: Make a Frieza race, build it full special attack and unlock golden form asap from training with Frieza, it's super good for farming You can either just spam Death Beams, they're guaranteed after a light light heavy heavy combo, or get a very strong ultimate and spam that, just make sure to have at least 5 ki bars as well for the 5 bar cost ultimates

This Game has been a huge part of my Life for many Years i started playing it in 2019 i tried all Races but the Race i love most of all is the Frieza CaC has awesome Combos and Ki damage just a bit sad that they have no working Stamina break so i have to use a Move for stamina breaking my Opponents but apart from that. This Race feels awesome i still play Xenoverse 2 from time to time but currently i'm re-planning to re-design my Room completely and that will take Months to finish but i'm looking forward on this my Room will look like a luxus Apartment when its done.

the story mode has so much content, the offline has an insane amount of content, the customizable stuff for you custom character is insane, you can have more than several custom characters nearly all forms of characters are here the stages are here, the voice acting is here the dlc and extras are here the game is massive ...

almost 400 hours inthis game and didnt know there was an easy mode for quests and you could grab the tail on the great apes

Btw, you should try out some mods for the game too! Not as a video or anything, just for you to try out on your own. The DBXV2 Revamp mod is definitely a must try, especially once the next big update for it comes out.

Omg yes to the controls, yes to the hub world (also I love the transport robots), and yes to the first few story quests being eerily similar 😂 Idk about you, I only spent $10 to get DBXV1 (no DLC), I think of it as a very long tutorial for 2! Plus get to bring over $, clothes, skills, and get TP. One of the first things I bought in DBXV2 from the TP shop is a Z-skill that doubles the money you get at the end of the mission 😉

The Legend Patrol DLC didn't include other main story overworld portions outside of battles, so I actually think without it, each story missions wouldn't flow very well.

How crazy I just started playing xenoverse 2 again also. Granted it's my PC version a friend got me bc I've maxed all character slots on console. Big word of advice. If you wanna play with others definitely host a room. The discover a room quick match feature has been broken the games entire life.

I'm still yet to play any other Dragon Ball game beside The lagacy of Goku 1 and BT 3. Also make more smaller videos.

It’s definitely an upgrade from the first one but it is just SO frustrating the things that the developers skipped on! Allegedly there is a major update coming soon that may fix a lot of those issues but it’s all click bait RU-vidr speculation. Im crossing my fingers though because I have put so many hours into this game and I could play it forever! Love your vids! ❤

I love this game, but after 8 years I’m still waiting for CPU transformations and some way to make CPU battles more balanced, because I can finish a battle in seconds

XV2 has a roadmap, they're actually working on a PS5 version, it is far from dead.

I poured so much time in this game grinding this was literally like a lifestyle for me in high school

There's a next gen upgrade coming out in May I think for PS5 and Xbox series hopefully it's free keep your fingers crossed but don't hold your breath

The trick for online is hosting the lobby as opposed to looking for one. And then patience sometimes.. For the most part you'll find a hard time finding people looking to play nondlc missions, unfortunately. I've played DBX2 on every Xbox since release and switch recently this year. (It looks like your playing the switch version, the training is different and inslcued the Supreme Kai of time)

Yeah, I was really excited ASF about this game at the beginning well more or so at DLC4 but after that yeah it had went downhill fast... Then again came back several time with more content and free updates so it kept me.

i saw it was in discount with many dlc packs and i was considering to buy it... then i remembered Sparking Zero

One of the many things I don't like about this game is the combat. I speak with no form of nostalgic bias because at the time when I was a kid, I never heard of Dragon Ball. But anyways, the combat in Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast was and still is far superior in those games than Xenoverse. That type of fluidity BT and RB was going for is not there in Xenoverse. Instead you just have to basically do some form of exploits and shit in order to get yourself out of someone's grasp. I just don't like the system Dimps was going for since Xenoverse 1. If Xenoverse 3 ever comes ou, hopefully they'll take a look at Sparking Zero and see how they can make the combat similar, but not too similar to the point of copy and paste. This is just my opinion about the game though. I've been playing it ever since the first game. And while I can say that the fighting is better than the first game, I'd still just don't like the flow of it works in this game.

When you play easy mode you sacrifice no rewards. After level 60 it costs 10 TP medals to play on easy mode.

Yeah, Xenoverse 2 is pretty much an improvement in almost every way. Still doesn’t make it a good game per say, but I have a soft spot for it.

It’s a pretty outrageously bad game, the amount of ingame purchases is off the charts leaving the base game with very little content. It’s a button masher for sure, pvp used to be playable when there were moves you could mix up rather than maxing out your ki or melee so that your moves are basically 1 shot. It’s just a really bad game for what it’s worth and frankly there are much better games plus with the new tenkaichi game coming out this game will be even more dead than it has been for years.

Xenoverse 2's pvp is proof that this game requires zero skill, it's filled with nothing but bullshit, jumping, rage quitting and cheese builds. I thank the Lord that the Tenkaichi series is being revived, because I want to see how many Xenoverse kiddies I can make regret their purchase.
