Joey Cold Cuts thinks he's playing Torrey Pines. Instead, he gets the Links at Victoria and loses his mind. Bonus content - / robbyberger MERCH - FOLLOW THE SHOW: / bobdoessports vm.tiktok.com/ZMRvvbHtV/
This is hilarious. Now you need to tell him let’s play at links at Victoria again but hint like it could be a Torrey pines day(have him thinking opposite prank). Then take him to Victoria again.
Theres a awesome video of PGA tour pro Sam horsfield on a normal council course in Manchester England and he isn't great there. Pros arnt used to the BS we have to deal with
Totally agree! Played there recently not knowing what I signed up for ahead of time and you can believe how bad it is in person and how hard it is to play in all dirt haha.
I did a video on this place and the history of how it got like this. I was sliding around everywhere, shocked my camera didn’t end up in the mug or a lake (that’s not supposed to be there). Haha
@@coledelong427 These are the npcs that walk among us. The ones with no internal monologue or visualization. Tell me, coledelong427, how would you feel if you didn't have breakfast yesterday?
yep its obviously a yardage marker, every course has something similar. I hate how obvious it is that this video is all acting and scripted for the most part...for gods sake, just actually trick your friend and record it rather than trying to make your friend do his best job at acting and the video would be way better.
This whole episode was gold top to bottom, but when Bob says “I found a pretty favorable lie here” as the camera pans to his ball perched on a tiny patch of grass in the middle of a dirt field…it sent me.
Bob loudly clapping at 1:42 as Joey walks out, and complimenting him with "Look at that smile, look at that BUILD" is such an underrated part of this video.
This is my first experience to Bob Does Sports. I feel so bad for Cold Cuts. Hearing him on the phone you could just tell this round of golf was the highlight of his month. You better take him to Torrey Pines.
10:08 "I gotta tell you joseph, Ive found a pretty favourable lie." that fucking killed me lmao. the ball is just propped up so perfectly on this tiny little patch of grass xD
It was important that we used premium blanco tequila with natural flavors and simple ingredients that also tasted delicious. No artificial flavors, no malt liquor. Have A Day is gluten free, non GMO, very light on carbonation and won’t give you cottonmouth after two sips.
I just discovered Bob Does Sports a couple of days ago. I have been binge watching and laughing ever since. But this is the funniest one yet... really hilarious. My sides are sore from howling with laughter. Love this channel.
we are literally experiencing in real time one of those jokes you do to your friend that is too far and pisses them off but afterwards it’s an amazing story and something to laugh about
the conversation they have on the way to the course is so wholesome. Just 2 buddies shooting the shit, makes this so relatable, especially the cheese to bagel ratio part.
@@Identity_Crisis_Clipsit’s not scripted but they know how to play off of each other. Which friends do that anyway without a camera😂. You can tell it’s not scripted. They do so many vids together, that they have their own little routine. Same when you work with someone for years. And that’s why we love watching them.
I’ve played the Links at Victoria for over 50 years, and still do. What’s happened to this course is the result of incompetence and mismanagement by the Los Angeles County government, specifically the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Board of Supervisors. Victoria is sitting on a former landfill but that is not why the course is in such bad shape, primarily the fairways. The reason why fairway grass has not survived after several attempts to fix it is the necessary “infrastructure” (irrigation and drainage) was never done properly to address using recycled water. Recycled water is high in salt content and without the proper drainage, salt accumulates on the surface and the grass cannot survive. The County had the course completely redone in 1999-2000 by the Arnold Palmer Management company. This redo was done improperly, specifically the irrigation and drainage of the fairway. Had this been done properly, the fairway grass would still be good. Proof lies with the greens and the landing area of the driving range. Victoria’s greens have always been good from the start in 1966 because the greens sit on good underlying infrastructure. The landing area of the driving range was put in over 4 years ago with the proper underlying infrastructure and that grass remains pristine today using recycled water. Victoria is probably the best laid out public course in the Los Angeles area. Had the fairways been built properly, the course would be heavily used. Sadly, Victoria will close next year replaced by private, for-profit commercial enterprises and the Carol Kimmelman Academic and Athletic Campus. This should never had happened but for the incompetence of the County people who failed as stewards of the course. The golf community will be losing what could be the best public golf course in the Los Angeles area.
Thanks for the history lesson. This is exactly how I remember Victoria, no change in over 30 years. Though the addition of "The Links at" was a nice descriptive code phrase to let you know that you're in for something, maybe not a positive thing, but something.
I was actually laughing out loud watching this video 😂😂😂 This is pure gold. You brought him up SO high, starting with the bagel, and then absolutely crushed all hope. 😂
From the bagel conversation to cold cuts falling asleep in the car only to wake up to this disaster is hilarious. I only recently found you guys a few months ago so trying to go back and watch your content from before. You guys are great, poor cuts 😂
You should realize the "falling asleep" was scripted, as is most of their stuff. This is the WWE of golf. Btw, i've played that course and it is nowhere near as bad as they made it out to be. Selected angles and ball placements.
Like so many people, this was the first Bob does sports video I ever watched. No idea how this landed in my recommendations but thank God it did. Been hooked ever since. Can I say though, one thing that's never changed. Jets editing skills. 08:28 onwards with the music and timing is just epic.
This is the first Bob Does Sports video I've ever seen and now probably the 50th. And I can honestly say it has aged like fine wine! Making this video was a good call. The pain was all worth it in the end Joey!

I booked there on accident to play with my best friend who was visiting me while stationed out here. We were bummed at first, but it ended up being so much fun. Every course and round is what you make of it lol
As if this wasnt enough, Im just imagining cold cuts tellin his buddies and family and everyone how excited he was to play the course before they went and then having to explain to them all later what happened
I just came back to watch this video for the 3rd time and other than Joey hitting his head on the garage door, Bob’s laugh when he told Joey where they were is the best laugh ever.
This was the first video I watched that got me hooked on the channel. Coming back a year later, it’s still one of the greatest Bob Does Sports videos of all time 😂
Possibly the best golf content video online... Just absolute gold, every frame... From the oozing cream cheese, Joey's drip, the drive, the actual condition of the course. Tears of laughter rolling down, really. Love this!
"It's good for viewership." Car scene was a classic. I haven't belly roll laughed like this in awhile. Love it. Just getting to the actual round now haha
@@Bobdoessports Checking back 7 months later... This is feels like watching the pilot episode of a great TV show. It sets you all up as personalities and has brought me coming back for more week in and week out. Love you boys.
I could watch an hour of those boys driving through the socal fog with the music Jet edited in. Almost like a dream sequence. Such a small touch, but so great. Almost a sense of nostalgia and comfort is all I can relate it to.
I've played this course dozens of times - ha ha!! The fairways are like the surface of the moon, agreed. The reason is that it was built on a landfill and grass will not grow. About 15 years ago they brought hella-tons of soil and tried their best to make it nice. But obviously it didn't work. But the greens are GREAT - I mean it, the greens are B+ condition. I feel like calling up my buddy David and saying "hey Dave, our course is on TV!!!"
I come back to this video every month or so, makes me day all the time lol...This is what truly kicked off the real BDS. Love you boys. Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone!!!
This was the first video I ever saw of you guys. Been a subscriber ever since and love all your videos! Great rewatching them . Keep it up boys awesome content
I started laughing when he woke up in the car, and I didn't stop laughing for the last eight fucking minutes. I have been losing it to the point of fucking tears. Fuck you for doing this to him.. but it was so worth it.
If we’re going to unpack this, it comes down to a lack of love for the game from Mr.Cuts. A true enthusiast would embrace the game of golf in all forms 😂
I don’t remember the last time I laughed so hard. Cold Cuts played a hysterical “Angry Dad” (The Simpson’s) but had such a great vocabulary and hilarious angry observations. My face hurts from smiling and laughing so hard.
This was genuinely hilarious. The look on his face at 4:11 whilst Joey goes to sleep, absolutely PRICELESS! Then at 5:10 I was in tears. OMG. Do another prank, these are so funny I can't take it.
I've been loving your channel for a long time, but this made me finally subscribe. The only channel I'm subscribed to. Bobby fairways is one of my favorite people. Keep it up!
I’m a very serious person. I usually don’t laugh at youtube videos really. But this video had me crying. Bob being all positive “a little patch of grass but it’s alright” shit is hilarious
There’s another comment on here saying it’s to do with drainage and the recycled water they use. Apparently the greens have better drainage than the fairways, so the poor quality water the course uses ends up killing all the grass on the fairway. However the greens survive with better irrigation
This is literally one of the funniest videos I've ever watched! I was laughing so hard I was crying and my stomach hurts now 🤣🤣🤣 props to Cold Cuts for taking even as well as he did, granted he was still infuriated but I wouldn't have even stepped foot out of the car if you brought me there hahaha
Watched this video 10 times. Still can't decide who I feel worse for. Poor coldcuts was so pumped, but bobby genuinely was sorry. Love these guys! With FP on board these guys are must watch every thursday
